It is a country where people think that because we have enough resources, we should share the money equitably from the resources we make.

Well, that's not how countries work.

You use your resources to develop products that can benefit the world...which is how many developed countries, and even high ranking 'developing' countries like China work.

The resources we have in Nigeria cannot earn us enough money to sustain us at our population. All the crisis we are seeing, secession included is because everyone thinks the other one has more money than they do. (And that includes the Hausas...one common argument I hear from there is that Southerners dominate the civil service and the business world...so they should be leaders for 'balance')..and also because what we earn is not enough for everyone.


So, either we all become more productive, and stop stfiling production by all this subsidy nonsense in power and the oil sector that prevents real growth in that sector...or we face more crisis.

Nigeria must give up its addiction to oil and resources, and must industrialize...otherwise even when splitting occurs there would be a big war for resources that will never end.

A report was done on things to fix issues and restructuring but that report for years now has been ignored, does this look like a government ready to change for the better? Furthermore based on the disregard for that report, groups came out to call for self determination and you start killing them, does this sound like a sane government? I'm only trying to tell people not to waste their time on advising some particular set of people about the redpill because most of them would not follow.

An event happened last week, I was with four of my guys that stays in the street last week Friday evening, then one of them mentioned how he's been turning monetary aid down from his girlfriend and most of them supported him, telling him ladies can't be relied on when it comes to helping men as they would still mention it later.

And I said to them, if any woman wants to help me even change my cracked phone screen now, I would gladly accept the offer without looking back, if any woman offers to pay for services we are both going to enjoy, I wouldn't stop her.

Do you know they all concurred immediately. Why? I just bought a car that last week, and they knew everything I was saying wasn't coming from my inability to afford what I'm willing to take from a woman. But pure being wise to do what a woman would do if confronted with a similar scenario.

They'll rather take their businesses to other countries with innovative and welcoming leaders because it appears they're doing Nigeria a favor by keeping them connected with the rest of the world.

It costs companies like google, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter etc nothing to block Nigeria entirely. Rather its Nigeria blocking Twitter when it would have been worse the other way round.

If Nigeria wants tax from them, Mali, Zimbabwe, Togo etc all ask for tax for using services these companies freely provide them, then whats their gain in even dealing with these countries in the first place?

If I was in a capacity to make decisions for a tech giant like google and common Nigeria is asking me to start paying taxes in Nigeria, I'd just be as quiet as Twitter has been about it and silently block all Nigerian IPs from accessing our services. By the time even the lawmakers aren't able to check their emails, can't access their app stores from their android phones and lose all functionalities, their brains will be reset to a point where they'd know they need us more than we need them.

Its almost like saying Google needs to start paying taxes because everyone in Nigeria uses a Gmail account and is affiliated with Google. What alternatives did the government provide before these tech giants provided them with better means of communicating?

Theyre even talking about asking whatshap to pay taxes. How much has anyone in Nigeria paid to use the free whatshap on their phones that Nigeria wants money for the free service whatshap offers Nigerians, on servers maintained by the company that wants to keep Nigeria included.

By the time this crop of leaders are done, everyone will be back to the age of writing letters to eachother when these companies all bar Nigeria totally from their services.
