We thank God for his goodness. I vividly remember what I posted when you told us you lost that job with a pregnant fiancee. The Lord hears our prayers.

Nezan: Don't let self pity consume you. This is not the end of the road for you, God is rather preparing you for a bigger step to climb in life. Take time out alone and look at your options. Let your mum know your predicament but don't allow her emotions get to you, be strong. It happened to me 5 yrs back but my life took a turn for the better; better job, better pay and now living where I never dreamt I will be. Good luck!

I think you are the one who has failed to read that book thoroughly. In each of the laws, there is a reversal and practical past experience to back it up. Read the book with an open mind observing all the reversals and you will appreciate the book more.

smlafolabi: Tuesday, February 19, 2013The Flaws In 49 Laws Of Power
LAW 1

Never Outshine the Master, but dont appear too dull and timid in the presence of your master or else he will think you timid and too dull for greater responsibility good leaders always want bright people to succede them and continue with their agenda. If your master is paying you well make him see it in your lifestyle he will be happy and recomend you for greater role. In my company people are afraid to even buy new shoes or phones so that they wont be sacked but such people never get to the top they are eventually sacked at last because such pretenders are the one stealing the company's money.

LAW 2

Never put too Much trust in friends ,learn to use enemies, but I say be carefull with using enemies as well because they are much more dangerous than friend. I happened to be one of the people that worked for Rotimi Akeredolu Governoship ambition in Ondo State. He lost the election solely because of the trust put in fresh volounteers that decamped from the camp of the incubent governor, they leaked all the governor secrets and vow to unseat him not knowing to our leaders that they were under the instruction of their master to infiltrate our camp and pose as a spy, they were the cause of our doom during the final battle as some of them even ran away with the money meant to be shared for voters on the election day they even use our money to canvanss voters for their original master on the election day, whereas the incubent governor dis not even spend a dime he knew how to use the flaws in 49 laws of power against those who have learnt the art of using the laws the incubent became the first governor to be elected for second term in Ondo State and the first to beat pre election opinion polls.

achi4u: Let me also add this!

How many fresh graduate engineers who can pieces(or open) a tractor or caterpillar in order to repair it?
Same thing applied in electrical, since most of what they are taught were in theory...in this case, both the 'novice' technician(as someone above rightly called them) and the engineer are at the same category.

One is educated novice(the engineer)
while the later is illitreate expert(the technician)grin

Engineers are not trained to ''pieces'' a tractor or caterpillar in order to repair it, that is the job of the artisans or technicians, i.e. mechanics and the likes.

Technologists are trained to supervise artisans or technicians, so the guy supervising the one ''pieces''-ing the caterpillar is the Technologist, normally with diplomas.

Engineers are trained with scientific ''theories'' and how they can be applied to guide Technologists and Technicians to overcome difficulties encountered in the process of ''pieces''-ing those caterpillars.

You get it?

1) There's something called Whatsapp, which is a direct replacement for BBM and is crossed platform. Works with Nokia Symbian, Windows mobile, Apple, Android and BB. Popular as it is no be everybody dey eat PawPaw.

2) I have Facebook chat, Twitter and Gtalk. In addition to Whatsapp. That covers all the people I'd want to keep in touch with.

3) BBM is juvenile because it greatly
aids promiscuity. It's popular in Naija cos its cheap and easily keeps people online. And in our dumb country where we're too shallow to enlighten ourself (most of our output can't compete on international stages) BBM is a quick fix. Believe you me many people only know the road to the internet courtesy BB; i have too many examples to back up this claim. The "BlackBerry Babe" phenomenon comes to mind.

4) I still want my Samsung Galaxy S Duos S7562 for Xmas. Remember you promised to contribute :-)

I wonder when this comparism with BBM will ever end. The more I plan to do away with my BB, the more topics like this keep coming up making me to re-assess my decision. There must be something about BB that non-BB users are not willing to disclose.

Secession talks will injure the GOP in the long run. I wont be surprised if they loose in 2016 because of this.
Politics / Conservative Leaders Reject Secession Talk In Wake Of Obama's Election by Nezan(m): 3:44pm On Nov 14, 2012
If hardcore conservatives are looking for generals in their post-election civil war, they may have to look beyond some of the biggest names on the right.

Following President Obama's re-election last week, a group of virulently anti-Obama Republicans has apparently suggested pulling the plug on the whole United States of America thing and splintering off into nations for which Obama is not at the top of the government. Two of the most incendiary conservative leaders, Texas Gov. Rick Perry (R) and RedState founder Erick Erickson, called on the would-be secessionists to stand down on Tuesday, potentially pitting them against a grassroots backlash following last week's election.

It's not clear how serious the movement is, exactly. Somewhat anonymous petitions have been filed on the White House website in the days following Obama's reelection calling for dozens of states to be allowed to leave the US. The Texas petition is garnering the most notoriety, both because it has the most signatures and because it involves Texas, a state where talk of secession pops up regularly.

Last time around, the man at the center of the Republic Of Texas talk was Perry, who gave a shoutout to seceding from Obama's America's in 2009 while not directly endorsing the concept. It was all part of Perry's plan to cast himself as Mr. Tenth Amendment in the run up to his own bid to lead all 50 of the United States as president. The secession stuff followed Perry to his short presidential campaign, forcing Perry to distance himself from Texas secessionists in 2011.

With Texas secessionism back in the news, Perry is again declining to get on board.

"Gov. Perry believes in the greatness of our Union and nothing should be done to change it," Perry spokesperson Catherine Frazier said in a statement. "But he also shares the frustrations many Americans have with our federal government."

Meanwhile, over at RedState, Erickson isn't having any of the secession talk either.

"We here at RedState are American citizens. We have no plans to secede from the union," he wrote on the site Tuesday. "If you do, good luck with that, but this is not the place for you."

Erickson also pushed back on conservatives who claim the election wasn't legitimate, or that Democratic supporters stole it somehow. "Barack Obama won. He won by turning out the most people in a well run campaign," Erickson wrote. "In other words, he won fair and square."

Many of the petitions on the White House website are posted without a last name, making it hard to figure out how serious they really are or who's behind most of them. But voter anguish over Obama's election and the course of the country is behind at least one of the petitions, the one calling for Alabama to leave the union "and create its own NEW government."

Derrick Belcher, a 45 year-old topless carwash owner, is behind the Alabama petition, according to AL.com. He supported Ron Paul in 2012 and told the site he's serious about creating a new union of states that did not vote for Obama's reelection. Belcher said that a nation of red states could do away with entitlement programs -- and the people who rely on them.

"The people who want those handouts, it'll force them to move to a different state," he told AL.com.

Contrary to the outsized coverage the secession petitions have received, Belcher's vision of a red state union do not seem to be catching on among mainstream conservatives. But that's not so say some on the right aren't having fun imagining "what if." Bob Smiley, author of a right-leaning novel about a Texas governor who secedes from the USA over the policies of its progressive president, took to the Daily Caller to pen a list of reasons Texas could easily survive on its own.

Kunlebabs375: That attitude is very common among the Benue people. They believe that there are no jobs for them and in other to raise money they take some children with the knowledge of their parents in most cases for trafficking. Though it could be found in many other states too but I think that of Benue is mostly common. I think Benue state govt shoul do something...

I beg to disagree with your assertion. Look at this:

Boys are mostly trafficked from the
south eastern states of Imo, Abia and Akwa-Ibom to Gabon,
Equatorial Guinea and Congo, while those from Kwara go to
Togo and as far as Mali to work on plantations
.
Between October and December 2003, over 500 children
from the Republic of Benin were rescued from granite
quarries and repatriated back to their country of origin,
through a joint effort of UNICEF in Nigeria and Benin.
Similarly, Nigeria has recently seen an increased number of
repatriation of trafficking victims from many foreign countries
such as UK, Italy, Netherlands, USA, Belgium, Ireland, Saudi
Arabia and South Africa.
Private transit camps have been reported to exist in Akwa-
Ibom, Cross Rivers and Ondo States where children are
transported from the south eastern states and forced into
hard labour and prostitution
.

Bruv leave story, poverty and their level of promiscuity is high

Must you show your level of naivity here? This is a case of child trafficking and you dont need to be told where the highest culprits of this crime are.
