You people should try and travel you won't, I have been to all western state capital they look like village, I don't know what brings you guys sorrow seeing other state making progress, since almost two years now we've not hard any developmental news in Ado Ekiti, Oshogbo, Ibadan, and Abeokuta but you guys are very quick to voice on a city that is not even a state capital. Please People of wast land show us any city that can match Aba, Onitsha and Nnewi in your sophisticated region, I mean city not State capital Lagos is our doings, we have Ala'aba, we have Trade Fair, we have Ladipo, we have Computer Village, and more in Lagos, make the Yoruba's replicate that in Ibadan, Oshogbo, Abeokuta, Ado-Ekiti, Akure if you people get the mind. Rosskiiku:Mr. Bororo this your analysis is not obtainable in this present Nigeria, my question is, who will join in the fight against Ndigbo? Because the middle belt are nursing Thier wounds and will not be available this time, the Yoruba's are more wiser now than in the 60s so they will definitely not support you, or is it the South South? Those one will be happy to have there resources back from the Hausa-Fulani oligarchy, so my question is who will join you in your dream war against a region that held Nigeria and it's foreign Allies in a civil war for three good years. |
ThEGodFaThEr101:This is a serious matter, if all we have as security is these set of people then Nigerians should be ready to protect and defend them selves |
I was in Owerri during the Easter holidays and what we witnessed was a shame, unbelievable cowardice from the security agencies, Unknown Gun Men dancing Infront of the Government House roundabout for 30min, before attacking the Police Headquarters and the Owerri Prison, mind you these 3 Government establishment are in the same location, the Government House and the Police Headquarters are in the same premises, while the Owerri Prison is sharing a boundary (fence) with the Police Headquarters. So tell me how on earth is this possible for these guys to have successfully attacked the Police Headquarters and the Owerri Prison for 3 good hours without any defensive response from the security agencies? As in not a single bullet was fired by our security men not to talk of exchange of gun fire and suprisingly no body was killed.as person's in police detention facility and inmates numbering over 1800 were released with ease. For your information, The 82 Division Obinze is less than 30 minutes to the Police Headquarters, the Police Area Command at fire service junction in Owerri is less than 5 minutes to the Police Headquarters and none of them sent backup to the trouble area. Thats not all and I stand to be corrected does it mean we don't have at least 200 security personnel around at that time and space guiding the Government House, the Police Headquarters and the Owerri Prison, I even forgot to mention the DSS state office located in the same location. But they are very quick to arrest innocent Nigeria's. May God help us in this Country of ours. So my question is do we really have a dependable security services or just boys that are tired of sitting at home because of no jobs or bunch of unpatriotic business men that are after their pockets? |
Coronabirus:Don't ever compare the North to the East, these are two different people, the North can allow injustice but the East will never, as for the arrest the army can only intimidate the ordinary people, because that's what they do best. I was in Owerri during the Easter holidays and what we witnessed was a same, unbelievable cowardice from the security agencies, UGM dancing Infront of the Government House for 30min, before attacking the Police Headquarters and the Owerri Prison, mind you these 3 Government establishment are in the same location, the Government House and the Police Headquarters are in the same premises, while the Owerri Prison is sharing a boundary (fence) with the Police Headquarters. Amah70:Hahahaha |
huncho22:Owerri is matching on, all this media hype about attacks is not having any impact on anything. Everywhere is balling in o-town |
igbobabe02:Oga what stops you to build your own industry or factory since you are wiser than those building hotels |
Amah70:I am old in enough to know that Orlu Zone have produced three governors and still counting but you guys can't hold your brother's responsible for the low infrastructural development in your area. |
Amah70:Mr man Owerri have been urbanised since time immemorial, please stop this child's talk |
Amah70:Please leave Owerri Zone for us in peace, see ooo!! we that just had 8 to 9 month as governor since 1999, don't want us to rest as if we put a gun on the head of those useless governors for Owerri infrastructural development |
Amah70:Sometimes I wonder how you guys reason, Orlu Zone has produced 3 governor since 1999, spent 18years in office still counting, and you are here ranting, don't hold us for your ignorance and stupidity instead vent it on Udenwa, Rochas and Hope |
https://www.businessamlive.com/anoh-gas-project-shell-hands-out-n360m-third-milestone-cdbs-social-investment-projects/ Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC), global oil player with the largest footprint in Nigeria, has handed out cheques worth over N360 million to community contractors for the third milestone cluster development boards (CDBs) social investment projects designed to benefit host communities of the Assa North Gas Development Project. The multi-billion-dollar Asa North-Ohaji South (ANOH) gas project, is one of the largest greenfield gas condensate development projects ever undertaken in Nigeria. It is expected to produce 600 million standard cubic feet of gas per day (mscf/d), an equivalent of approximately 2.4 gigawatts (GW) of electricity for Nigeria. ANOH, being developed by Shell, and estimated to cost over $3.5 billion, is sited on 200 hectares of land in Ohaji-Egbema local government area of Imo State, which was based on a request in June 2012 by Shell. The land is part of the state’s equity contribution to the project. Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State lauded Shell’s commitment to the development of infrastructure and human capital in communities hosting the Assa North Gas Development project in the state. Represented by Ikay Njoku, the commissioner for Environment, the governor also endorsed the gas project’s Cluster Development Board’s (CDB) employment of community contractors for the social investment projects. Imo, an oil-rich state, is said to be awash with huge gas deposits in excess of 700 billion cubic feet of gas much of which have not been harnessed. Nigeria has 200.79 trillion cubic feet of gas as of 2019, according to figures posted by the Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR). The governor said: “I commend the Assa North and Ohaji Egbema Cluster Development Boards, as well as their community contractors for doing good jobs so far. Imo State Government will continue to monitor project execution to ensure that contractors do not lower the quality and standard of the jobs. We will have zero tolerance for corruption.” Chairman of Assa North CDB, Godswill Uzomba Uho, his counterpart for the Ohaji/Egbema CDB, Casmir Ekeruo all pledged to “continue to monitor the community contractors to ensure they executed the projects with right standards maintained. Meanwhile, Banji Adekoya, SPDC’s external relations manager, projects and opportunities, said SPDC was committed to supporting projects that increase the capacity of the communities to deliver credible projects. He said, the gas development project in Imo was one of the priority projects of the federal government of Nigeria, because its development will help the government deliver on its ambition to provide enough gas for domestic consumption, power generation and gas-based ammonia and urea fertilizers for farmers.” “The Assa North Gas Development Project will be a major game-changer in our country’s quest for energy sufficiency and economic growth and, once again, it emphasizes Shell’s unshaken commitment to Nigeria both now and in the future,” the SPDC official said. He confirmed the project’s potential as one of the largest domestic gas projects in the country when completed. That when completed, the ANOH gas project will produce 600 million standard cubic feet of gas per day (mscf/d) from its upstream facilities, and process 300 mscf/d from the SPDC gas facility under construction to boost domestic gas supply for power generation and general industrialization. According to him, to benefit the local communities, SPDC has a deliberate Nigerian and Community Content strategy embedded in the projects’ operations to create vast opportunities for Nigerian firms in engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contracts; immense employment and sub-contracting opportunities for workers and local contractors in the project area; as well as opportunities for capacity development initiatives, knowledge transfer and human capital development. In February 2019, Shell inaugurated CDBs for the major gas project, in which it would spend N1 billion in the project’s host communities over the next five years. The CDBs are made up of principal officers of the Community Trusts from 11 communities of the ANOH gas development project, and would have the responsibility for implementing a global memorandum of understanding (GMOU) established for the project. The Anglo-Dutch oil giant had earlier in late 2018 announced a final investment decision (FID) on the gas project. This was followed by signing of a GMOU with the project’s host communities in Ohaji-Egbema local government area of Imo State. The Cluster Development Boards implement Shell’s Global Memorandum of Understanding (GMoU) for delivering sustainable development projects in the host communities. |
