Bagehot: You are assuming a "Wike" can even become Governor in Lagos. Upon all of Aeroland's thuggery and noise, has he smelt the senate seat for Lagos East? Oga, Wike can if he have same opportunities as other, Wike didn't just became governor over night he work for it from been a local government chairman to a Minister and from there he launched his governorship ambition which Ameachi never approved, as a man with balls he fight his away in using every resources at his desposal at the end he became a governor. How many people can try that in Lagos state, Ambode chicken out when he supposed to fight, and don't call that respect or omoluabi whatever |

Emyzoloye5: Anambra state.....the lion of Africa
A state where little boys are richer than the state governor . tinubu's kind of dominance can't happen in anambra
he will be humiliated That's my point exactly, men are men and boys are boys, imagine a Tinubu in Anambra state as godfather , E no go work, it can only work in Lagos even state like Ekiti, Ondo and Ogun can't have him for that long as godfather, example is Kwara State vs. Olushola Saraki |

Bagehot: The only way to properly count scores would be to wait till Wike is 5 years out of office to determine his true weight in politics. My brother Wike cant be a godfather in Rivers State after 2023, it's not possible, godfather can't work in that State, and that's my point, that state have strong men that can challenge anybody, even Wike him self is not having it easy as a governor |

TeeeeWhyyyy: Bro, you're just speaking with severe sentiments and pains. Every reasonable person that has the smallest knowledge of Nigerian politics will know that Tinubu is the most referred and relevant politician in Nigeria today. Okorocha is also someone I like and I know that he also understands this. So, don't use your personal sentiments and overzealousness to fight a fight he didn't ask you to help him fight.
Every politician in Nigeria knows that Tinubu is not a local champion, but a global politician. If your opinion is that the politicians in Lagos have "no balls" (you're such a funny political novice honestly) and that's why Tinubu has been installing governors in Lagos State, tell me what about installing a President (Buhari) and a Vice President (Osinbajo)? Maybe you forgot that Okorocha also contested in that APC Presidential Primary then, can you remind me of the number of votes he got again?
Maybe you forgot that Okorocha tried to become a Godfather in Imo State but he failed woefully. Not because we have any relevant politician in that state but because there's a measure of sacrifice you have to make to become a true Godfather in politics. Okorocha has never paid that price but Tinubu has paid it over and over again.
The question here is, why is he now a political orphan (seeking attention. Because I'm sure he's just seeking attention with this) just few months after leaving office?
Tinubu has not held any political office for 14 years, yet he's still the most referred and relevant politician in the Nigerian political space today. If you want to argue this fact, just ask yourself why you kept mentioning Tinubu both when he's part of a political argument and when he's not. I understand your point, Alhaji Abubakar Olushola Saraki, did same in Kwara State until his son Bukola retire him, simply because his son has ball's not a coward, untill people with ball's raise up in Lagos Tinubu will continue to rule Lagos till he meet his ancestors. Simply put, Lagos has no men with ball's |

EMMY76: Forming a new political party like the apc for the sake of clinching the 2023 presidential election will never be possible. The apc rode on ethnicity and religion to remove gej from office which wont work for whatever party rochas and wike will decide to form. You are right, they can't make such mistake, but what I think Rochas meant was supporting each other political ambition, and don't under estimate Rochas he is very good in grassroots movement |

Vaughanlanrewaj: Sir, you don't understand how ranking is done in the Senate. Please read up on it.
In Nigeria, there are just two states; Lagos and others.
If you succeed in Lagos, you have succeeded in others. That is why most governors in the South are picked from their base here in Lagos.
In Lagos, like other states where the Yoruba are dominant, there is a leader who holds the majority of the collective power in trust. That individual is carrying tremendous burden and when he or she delivers, he is rewarded with more privileges. That is why Asiwaju Tinubu continues to enjoy the trust and followership of most in the South West. It is a cultural thing among the Yoruba that there must be a leader and that leader earns the right to the leadership.
Please let's revisit this chat again when HE Wike leaves office. I will not be surprised if he is handed the same treatment HE Rotimi Amaechi is receiving from the APC in Rivers like the one Sen Okorocha is receiving in Imo This your story is too long, the answer is very simple, You guys in the west don't have anybody except Tinubu, even the V.P is a learner, you can't find men in the likes of Rochas, Wike, Orji Kalu, Ameachi in the west |

Vaughanlanrewaj: That you are free and emancipated today is the product of the sacrifice Lagos and its people made and continue to make.
That you don't appreciate it still does not change the fact.
Try make your place or state as formidable and progressive as Lagos so you can witness same progress. There is nothing progressive about Lagos, take a look at cities that have same privilege as Lagos, international airport (only gateway in and out of Nigeria) Sea Port (only functional seaport), formal capital. Which other state has that kind of privilege in Nigeria? But still is backward when comparing it other cities like Cape town, Nairobi, Cario, Jo-bug, etc |

Vaughanlanrewaj: Sir, Senator Okorocha is not even a ranking senator, it means he is a freshman Senator. The current governor of Imo state is higher in ranking than him in Senate traditional ranking let alone now comparing him to someone like Asiwaju who was a senator 30 years ago.
That Gen Buratai is a General today and have a higher rank than a major General doesn't make him mates with Major Gen. Buhari( Buhari did not promote himself to General). Asiwaju was a Senator of Federal Republic of Nigeria 30 years ago sir.
You are still not getting it sir. Why will he leave office just few months ago and now a political orphan. Even the alternative party he set up, is not doing fine. It is not about him as a person but what he achieved politically. As about those becoming governors in Lagos, sir, they can't. From Gen Mobolaji Johnson now to Alhaji Jakande now HE Sanwo Olu, Lagos governors are people who have professional pedigree. You must achieve success in your professional field before becoming governor in Lagos.
My advice to Sen Okorocha is to work hard and be humble. I don't know why it is difficult to admit it when someone is above you. Comparing Asiwaju Tinubu to him is disrespectful to Asiwaju Tinubu. Rochas not been a ranking officer was as a result of INEC not giving him his certificate of return when others were given and sworn in, he had to go to court before he was given, that's not the main issue, my question was should Wike be the governor of Lagos state, will tinubu be able to breath fresh air, drink water and drop his cup in peace? Run Lagos as his father's estate? take orders from him before he sleeps with his wife, sign any contract paper ? Appointing his commissioners? Tinubu can continue to command both Dick and Harry in Lagos State, because Lagos state has no body except Tinubu, you can't Compare Lagos to states like Anambra, Imo, River's, Edo, even Awka Ibom that have men with ball's, and can challenge any body money for money, thugs for thugs, spiritual for spiritual, oga name any strong man in that lagos, please don't mention Mr. Bode |

Look at what you are saying, clap for yourselves that you guys can't choose your own governor, because you guys have no thinking faculty. Rochas failed because of that and he will continue to fail again and again if he tries it again in Imo State, we are not zombies, but I give it to him, he is a good politician and still loved by his people |

Two noise makers
Wike should test his strength at the fought coming PDP convention , Atiku turn him to a small child again
If Wike floats a new party then his case would be worse than Rochas Okorocha's own
. Firstly, Wike is a Don on his own level, and you can't compare Lagos to Rivers State, one are full of zombies while the other are full of men and women with ball's and guts. Secondly, Tinubu is afraid to speak out about his ambition, using proxies will not help him, if he thinks he is formidable let him come out now, like others, banking on the northern political machinery to do his work for him won't help me |

Vaughanlanrewaj: Firstly, it will be disrespectful to compare Asiwaju to both of them because Asiwaju was already in the Nigerian Senate as far back as 1992 as the Senator representing Lagos West when none of the two was even known in the political firmament so he is not their mate in terms of political activism.
Now to ability to navigate the muddy waters of politics, sir, it is your results that speak for you.
I am not sure you are familiar with the politics of the south West so I won't bother to enlighten you on it sir. FYI, Asiwaju Tinubu still has political opponents in Lagos and the Southwest and these opponents are bigger than those two combined sir.
My poser is that if Asiwaju left office in 2007 and still relevant yet one left office few months ago and already behaving like a political orphan, then something is not adding up if you call such a strong political force. What has Tinubu achieved that Rochas have not in politics, Tinubu is a Senator, and a two term Governor same as Rochas, interns of national appeal Rochas is a name well known allover the nation and beyond so what is the big deal, infact if you leave two of them on the ballot with out any help from any body or rigging and let Nigerians choose I bet you Rochas will floor him, that guy is loved in the north, as for Wike, he is a young man that started from a humble level as chairman of a local government, to chief of staff to minister and now two terms governor, and you are saying we should not compare, Oga answer my question, if Wike should be the present governor of lagos, will tinubu be having this free hand into the state purse and be relevant as he is presently? |
Politics › Re: Imagine Joining Forces With Wike – Okorocha Hints On New Political Party by Ngorbungor(m): 6:56pm On Jan 11, 2021 |
Vaughanlanrewaj: Hmmm. They better think again before going ahead except the two of them are getting ready for their final retirement.
One, despite just leaving office recently, has lost out completely in his Imo state while the other one has been feeding off the inability of Sen. Abe and HE Rotimi Amaechi to put their Rivers State APC house in order.
Asiwaju Tinubu left office since 2007 yet remained relevant. Talk is cheap. They should go and work very hard. Oga Ade, if the south west can have politician in the likes of Rochas and Wike, Tinubu will be a child's play, Rochas is an old Politician, he is not having his way in the east because the east have a way of paying loyalty to politicians, while Wike and Tinubu will equally share southwest political structure, imagine Wike to be the governor of Lagos state, do you think Tinubu will have peace and not on exile? |
