Do you now see your mindset?If a Northerner should have a high score in jamb, you quickly believe the exam is written for him or her.But you and I know that the champions of examination malpractices are mostly Southerners. The hatred and stereotype against the north would definitely cause this country more harm than good.I have taught various tribes in Nigeria and I can testify to you that northerners are not as dumb as many of you. I am a christian from the South West. The girl should rather be encouraged to take up the alternative offer or put in for another jamb. Even UI or IFE will not give her admission based on merit because there are many from her state who have more than 302 and are seeking for MBBS admission. We should not allow sentiment to make us look stupid.

The same thing will happen at U I because there would be more than six who scored more than 302 and are seeking MBBS admission.Don't let us be carry away by emotion.The population of candidates seeking admission into MBBS each year in ABU and UI is higher than 400 and they can't admit more than 150 each.The quota system we complain about has been there for more than 30 years now and Nigerians are not complaining because it favours them sometimes. they only complain when the opposite occurs.

I finished from University of Ibadan, and one of the best young lecturer in my department(mathematics) at that time was from Kano state and other departments had lecturers from across the country too. So let's call a spade exactly what it is, a girl scored above three hundred and we have someone here telling us why not admitting her to the faculty of medicine in ABU is justified, what a load of bullshit! there is no justification for turning down such a brilliant young mind. I wish that girl had applied to university of Ibadan instead of ABU, then she would have been able to realize her dreams.

What you failed to realise is that there are many indigenes of Niger state studying in better schools in various states of the federation. Grow up in your thinking and not become myopic.In my school here in Abuja, I can count six girls who scored more than 320 in jamb and they are from Niger state.The north is not as backward in education as many southeners think.

What the guy is saying is that your neighbour should start thinking about producing generator instead of selling imported ones.Your neighbour has not really done bad, it is just that we need to start think beyond trading activities, Nigerians should start producing tangible goods that would create massive and reduce the level of importation.

I am so baffled hearing some advising them to sell the project in order to invest in business. Do you know the real value of the project in 10 or 20 years time. Investing in a business does not guarantee quick returns as many people expect it these days. What is yours is yours . There are many uncertainties and risks involved in business. If you have lived with landlords and tenants who are troublesome. You will prefer to live in a container that belongs to you even with empty stomach than live in a rented house. Remember retirement age is coming for everybody and running after business will be difficult. Have a roof over your head at old age. The man and the woman should just try and get jobs so that they can complete their project and take good care of their children.

let him abscond now. a dead person is better than him.

My advise to this family not to sale the house but should both get job that can meet with their needs and from the extra put aside should continue with the project. the project is an investment for old age when they can no longer work. and by then it will worth the hustles.

I once went to a police station to report a missing breadwinner of a family with the wife standing by my side. I was so surprised when one of the female policewomen was asking me to drop money to record the identity of the missing person. I left in annoyance and vowed not to go to any police station for any reason in my life again. It could be so frustrating and painful to see people who are being paid with our tax money demanding for bribes to discharge their official duties.
