It's best to keep your life savings or huge sums in a restricted account (restrictions placed by you), and the only way cash can be withdrawn from it is if you visit the bank yourself to make the withdrawal or transfer.
If your money goes missing, trust me they will refund you ASAP because even with your ATM card, token, pins, etc, a restricted account CANNOT release money.

Hmm how did u start this route?
Check their immigration website. They have various pathways and subclass 189 has another 3 different pathways, which skilled independent visa(for people who want to immigrate to Oz for work just like FSW in Canada) is inclusive and it is point based also.

I haven't started yet, still sorting out some of the required documents for Visa application before I commence.

Hmm... Oz is hard to get into unless ur pof is something else
But I'll rate oz over and over again grin

Wish you good luck grin
Cheers!
I think you meant for study.

I'm going via skilled independent visa(subclass 189) and there's no POF required for this pathway.

I'm sure of the higher pay in Australia available to students. A close pal of mine dropped out in 2020 just before the pandemic and was making AUD 2000 weekly. (though he worked overtime).

The dude just graduated recently and got an offer from Cisco before graduating with 6 figures. Though am biased in tech, Oz is dope but hard to get into.
Hi, pls how do you mean it's hard to get into?

I intend to start my accessment and my profession has an accessing body(AIQS).

You didn’t state anything about your occupation.
Undergraduate Pension for the 3 months will not suffice cos the dates remitted will be clear on the statement. You can still use the same account for your company to start remitting pension however for the purpose of migration, only payment made during time of employment for the occupation you are assessing will be calculated.

Company B: the 1 year payment, does it cover the entire 3 years or just one year? Get your company to o make full payment for the 3 years.

Not sure if you can make pension. You should make the enquiries with the companies/tax authorities/ pension company
Apologies for the omission.

My profession for the 5 years is Quantity Surveying. And the accessing body is AIQS.

Good evening fam.

I intend to commence my jakpa to Australia but I need clarification on tax and pension matters.

*My details*

Marital status: single

AGE: 30

IELTS: LRSW: 8.5,7.5,7.7 (overall band 7.5). Will expire may next year.

Work experience: 5 years (different companies. Company A= 1st 2 yrs, company B current/remaining 3 yrs)

Tax issue: No tax was paid for company A (inclusive of NYSC). For the remaining 3 yrs(compayB), only 1yr+ tax was remitted (my company just started paying that)

Pension: I have no pension for the 5 yrs work experience. But around 2012(was still in school), I worked with a firm for 3 months, and my pension was paid by the company ( they opened the pension account for me). Till date the account is still valid and I receive monthly financial update from the pension company.

Questions:

1) can I commence the journey with just a1 yr+ of tax payment?

2) is there any way I can pay my tax for the remaining 3yrs+ ?

3) can I use my undergraduate pension account?

4) is it possible to pay pension for all my 5 years of experience?

Responses will be appreciated.

Firstly, appreciation goes to the almighty God that made all efforts of sleepless nights to be successful.

Secondly, a big thanks to the contributors of this thread.

Thirdly, ayandee's post that triggered the right motivation that passing TEF is achievable at that age.

And lastly, another big thanks to the God sent Algerian pal who dedicated her time correcting and vetting my writings and speaking.

Now my story...
My French's journey started Dec '19 at IEF, but I had so many breaks in-between that prolonged the duration till the moment I sat for the test.
B2.1 was completed Dec 2020 while TEF preparation started Jan '21.
Meanwhile I have been somehow active on the "comment se preparer au TEF group" on Facebook. An Algerian lady noticed my activities and decided to make a contact so we could practice French speaking together, also someone who would help her in English speaking in preparation for her IELTS.

Now this is why I earlier said she was God sent: She needed someone higher than her not lower. Our daily conversation was normally 1 hour daily but later decided to spend about 3 hours daily except Fridays about two weeks to the test. All these were done with full dedication and free of charge.
Her coaching was effective as I had Cs in the competences she devoted her time for.

On the test day, the CE and CO were entirely new. I was so tensed that I had to ease myself after the listening session but decided to calm myself down as I have been counselled to remain calm.
I had started practicing on a PC for the EE, writing 2 fait divers and 2 letters daily while keeping to time. This really helped during the test, giving enough time to go through my work as I had about 10 minutes left after finishing.
While the examiner for the EO was so mean to me, no smile and wore a straight face all through the session as if he had a quarrel with his wife before the session.

In all, special thanks to my spouse because I wouldn't have achieved this without him due to all the encouragement he gave when I had no zeal to move on.
Congratulations, pls can you give a breakdown of the cost of learning ?

Hi guys, pls I need a confirmation on:

1) if reference letter for previous work experience has a validity period. I want to get mine now but will be in the pool in 6-7months time.

2) for the current experience is it ideal to state a date one left the company or just use "till date" as the person still works with the company as at the time of application?

I have been getting conflicting answers so I decided to get a response from here since it's for those that have arrived

Sufficies that the present Noc is 1year and above which is great, and yes you will be needing a reference letter from ur employer on this. And also the previous job 2 when added already make 3years, you will also need a letter from ur past employer on this too. On the previous job 1, it's totally ur choice, if you can get a letter saying u worked for 4months fine. If not you can just move it to personal history to fill up time gaps.

This is imo, let others weigh in.
Thanks, does the reference letter have a validity period?

Hi all, what do you advice:
Will someone with 3years+ experience that isn't continuous because of change of job, have any issues? for example,
Primary NOC/experience: Accountant (1 year 10months).
Other experience:
Previous 1: Logistics officer (4 months)
Previous 2: Accountant. (1 year 4 months)

In order of arrangement: Accountant, Logistics officer, Accountant(current job).

Checked IRCC website and it says at least one year continuous work experience. I just want to confirm and know:

1) if it is a good idea to move the logistics officer to personal history or include it in work experience.

2) if reference letter be required for both previous(accountant) and current occupation(accountant) or just current.

I understand that asking to message me may seem suspicious but there really isn't anything to hide I just didn't want it to cast grin

Basically it involves using your Bsc to apply for a similar HND course at a polytechnic, you are automatically drafted into Pre-HND. Your Bsc transcript is requested and exemptions are given on similar courses already undertaken at Bsc level. In my case, I was only told to write an exam on two courses which were not taken and didn't reflect in my Bsc transcript after which i was issued a National diploma to proceed for my HND. Sent my Bsc and ND to WES and was evaluated for two degrees.

Fees I paid were
ND1 fees 102k
ND2 fees 80k
Transcript 15k

I hope this conforms to the free information policy of this platform and is also useful to others. Thanks.

Don't overwork yourself. Reference letter is only for a job you are claiming points for. Get the reference letter in the prescribed format. As for the part time job you were not paid, still put it in your personal history if it is within the last 10 years. Even if you delete it, they still have it at the back end. So be guided.
And you don't need reference letter for personal history right?

When you are to receive the lump sum of the gift deed from your benefactor, let them send it to an account you use regularly, not a new account created specifically for the purpose of POF. I know people want a means not to touch the money, so it doesn't reduce. After you have received it, you can then move it to anywhere you like eg investment, mutual funds, fixed deposit, dom account, leave it in that account or keep it in your newly created account (I don't advise this because your average monthly balance on the bank reference letter for this new account will be low)
Pls when do you advice to secure the gift deed and how long does it need to be in mutual funds, fixed deposit etc before it can serve as POF?

WeAreDLucky1s:
Now, that's clearer.

For a defunct company, I doubt your salary inflow to your account would matter much, there are more specifics for meeting the criteria. In my case although not defunct, documents such as Employment letter (front page), Contract letter, Resignation letter, ID Card (front page) are things you can use rather, and then maybe just in case, you MUST, then the Salary inflow for the period (highlight it) which I still think will be cumbersome. Then, well-drafted duties that match your NOC on a plain paper, you can even notarize this letter to give you more peace of mind and sleep grin

Also, there is this thing people do, if you can reach out to the CEO/MD/Supervisor he can also draft out a letter for you affirming that although the company no longer exist, and that they had a good working relationship with you during the period your duties include; A, B and C. Then, go to LinkedIn and make them your connection (this works like charm). Most of your colleagues will clearly state that they work in the company from a period to another, if this matches for 2-3 profile, this might just be your golden bail out.

All the above, in addition to a well structured LOE explicitly stating why you cannot meet the criteria in the required format.

Things to note about Reference Letter is the 2 paramount things of interest, in fact, 3 is essential;
1. Evidence of Work being a close match/related to the NOC in your application.
2. Evidence of Work hours equivalent to Canada standard full-time work and duration (at least one year of continuous work - 3yrs max point)
3. Evidence that you were paid (which usually has lesser importance) because there are no restriction to how much you should be paid
grin
Then other less-vital details about the organization (if it can be verifiable etc, in your case this is not possible, but really is of lesser use, self).

I hope this is helpful, and I'll like to thank you for reading.
Hi, pls I sent you a mail, I need your advice.

Yes that's what I'm saying. Of course in addition, you need to submit the document that actually shows that you have the money (POF) eg investment letter, FD certificate or even just bank letter sef if what you're doing is just keeping the money in an account.
See this, I hope it helps clarify any questions you have on POF.
