TravelTensions In Middle East As Iran Threatens to level Tel-aviv And Kill Israeli PM by nickxtra(op): 4:07am On Feb 22, 2018
Iran has threatened Israel and its Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, saying it will destroy Tel Aviv if there is any attack on Iran by Israel.

In a televised speech on Monday, a senior Iranian official said the Israeli city of Tel Aviv would be “leveled to the ground” if Israel were to attack Iran, and Netanyahu would not escape with his life.

Mohsen Rezaei, a former head of Iran’s powerful Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and secretary of the country’s Expediency Council, made the remarks in response to a speech Netanyahu made in Munich on Sunday, The Times of Israel reported.

The Israeli leader threatened strikes against Iran at the international security conference. As he made the warning, Netanyahu brandished a piece of fuselage from an Iranian drone shot down by an Israeli attack helicopter over Israel’s northern border last Saturday.

“About Netanyahu’s unwise words, I should say that if they carry out the slightest unwise move against Iran, we will level Tel Aviv to the ground,” Rezaei told the Hezbollah-affiliated al-Manar channel on Monday. He added that Tehran would not “give Netanyahu any opportunity to flee.”
The war of words between Iran and Israel follows a flaring of tensions on the ground between the two nations.

The downing of the Iranian drone on February 10 was the first direct confrontation between Israel and Iran in Israeli territory. Since the start of the civil war in neighboring Syria, Israel has regularly intervened to check the expansion of Iran and its Lebanese proxy Hezbollah, which has backed the Bashar al-Assad led Syrian regime in Damascus.

In response to the drone incursion, Israeli Air Force jets targeted a mobile command center military officials claimed had operated the unmanned aerial vehicle. During the raid, one of eight jets involved in the attack was hit by a Syrian anti-aircraft missile. The aircraft crash-landed in Israel.

Rezaei accused Netanyahu in his speech of being theatrical and childish. “U.S. and Israeli leaders don’t know Iran and don’t understand the power of resistance, and therefore they continuously face defeat,” he said. (Newsweek).

SportsFormer Super Eagles Midfileder, Recovers As He Attended NFF Awards(pic) by nickxtra(op): 3:47am On Feb 22, 2018
The 1996 Olympic Games Gold winner looked very healthy in a dapper suit as he stepped out for the awards.

He came on stage, alongside Femi Opabunmi-another former player who has had it rough in recent times-to present an award.

Following Oruma’s latest ordeal, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) quickly stepped in to help.

After he was released from the hospital, he stayed at the home of NFF president Amaju Pinnick while a three bedroom flat was being arranged for him.

Pinnick had also revealed that the midfielder will be handed a coaching role with the Flying Eagles as they fully integrate him into the Nigerian football family.

But the thing is this.

For the fact that ur so called sister told u that she usually spend enough money for any guy she likes , simply means that u are not and have not and will not be the only guy in her life apart from her husband.

The only thing I realized is that she is the type that use young men as rags and dumps them when she is done. For that singular act. She is just a flirt and doesn't lack any love and attention.

RomanceThis Married Woman Is Bent On Me Dating Her. Pls Advise by nickxtra(op):
This woman wouldn't let me be.

I met a very beautiful lady in my sister's shop (a bar), with her sparkling looking Mercedes Benz parked outside. She is my sister friend. Please note that this my "sister" is just from the same community where i come from and not a blood sister.

My sister introduced this lady to me as her friend and did same to the woman and told her that am her brother she already told her about.

Both of them were drinking beer and and the lady was smoking cigarette as well. I tried advising her, particularly against the smoking, but she started telling me what got her into it, including loneliness and how her husband maltreats her and does not show her any love. She went down memory lane how she met her husband in a relative birthday party at one Hostel in Ujoellen, Ekpoma- she was a student at Ambrose Ali University, while hubby was then a student in UNIBEN. They ran into each other again some years later, dated and eventually got married, a marriage that has produced two children, both who were born in the U.S.

I was surprised when this woman started telling me that she has heard so much about me- that my sister told her am nice and good looking and that actually I appear nice and good. I thanked her for her compliment and I begged her to stop smoking cigarette and even tried to destroy the ones she kept on the table, which she did not resist, but did not destroy them.

After about an hour, I told them I would be leaving, but she begged me to sit down, that she wanted to tell me something. I sat down, with my ears wide opened. This woman said and I quote her "I lack love and companion. I need your companion, not for money, because my husband is very rich, but he is a core Muslim, does not live a social life and at times, we may be in the house for weeks without seeing eye to eye, not to talk of touching me"

Continuing, "We can spend time together, drive me around for outings and be in your arms. This I lack from my husband. Your sister said you are nice. Pls be nice to me"

My heart jumped, I played along, not to tell her NO to her face in order not to compound her already dazed mood. I told her I will think about it. She gave me her phone number, shook and tickle my hand and asked me to call her to meet with her the following day.

Infact, my sister used our native language to let me know that she spends money for any guy she loves and that she can do anything I request from her (maybe in a way of pushing into the relationship). That the woman is already in love with me.

I left there that night with lots of thoughts ringing in my head: "A married woman? no, no, no. I can't date a married woman, no matter what. Pretty lady and in money, yes, but still in her husband's house. I would have jumped at the offer of was a single mother, etc

Finally, the following day, I did not call her, instead since then, I kept dodging and avoiding to meet with her, especially anytime I sight her vehicle in my sister's shop. I even told my sister that I cannot date a married woman.

Waiting for me to call her which i never did, my sister gave her my number, she called severally and i never picked her calls until she called me with an unknown number one day, which I picked and she started telling me how disappointed she was about my action, bla bla. Since then we did not see or talk.

My sister got married a few months later, bore a child and having marital issues, centred on flimsy things between her and her Delta based hubby.

Just last week, on a outing with a friend in a recreational garden, I ran into the woman and my sister with one young guy - a medical Doctor who once dated my sister, sitting with them. The woman, as usual was smoking and drinking and the Doctor and my sister were buzzing, in fact that being the first day I saw my sister smoking. She gave flimsy reason for smoking and her scolded and advise her accordingly.

We greeted, the woman answering my greetings grudgingly. My sister asked us to join them on their table and because there were enough seats there, I settled on the table with my two other friends.

Lo and behold, my sister told me that the woman "still dey vex for me".

I now asked about the doctor and she that since was married and cannot date the Doctor again, she arranged the woman for the Doctor and connived with the woman to concealed the woman's marital status from the Doctor. That the Doctor saw the woman's picture in her phone and he then begged her to arrange the woman for him, hence their outing that evening.

Infact, it was an eyesore when it got dark, my sister drawing my attention to the smooching and other nasty stuffs going on between the woman and the doctor, both who were seated tight to each other. I earlier noticed the Doctor not comfortable the way the woman was focusing on me every time and not attending to him well.

I told my friend we should change table while one of my friends that we went to the garden together settled the whole bill that the entire table incured and we left the place. This also made the Doctor got troubled, maybe thinking that we on a mission to snatch her 'girl friend'.

The following day, the said woman call my line and said if I was angry that he was with the Doctor. I replied her that why must her be angry, after all am not her hubby nor her boy friend. She started pleading again, " So you have not made up your mind for me? I still need your companionship. I have feelings for you..."

I finally told her that she is a beautiful woman and that I like her person, but she is somebody's wife and that I cannot date her. She has kept calling me at times with strange numbers and also sending my sister to me.

I refused to 'fall' for this woman. I fear God and i know the spiritual implications of dating a married woman. I am also married with kids. So everytime i imagine if she was my wife dating another man (God forbid).

I have stopped going to my sister's shop, who as even changed her line of business. She has a boutiq now, instead of the bar.

Please, is there any other means to deal with this woman, for her to leave me alone?

He however,  attributed the killings to some traditional rulers who, according to him, prefer car gifts to the security of their people, insisting that he will not entertain herdsmen in any part of his community.

Speaking to journalists in his palace in Imiegba, the royal father said: “Going by the current attacks on farmlands in many places in Nigeria including Edo North, I am very happy that I declined herdsmen’s request to come here. Sometime ago, their leader, Alhaji Adamu Fulani, came here and asked for land for grazing and I told him I could not grant him his request and deny our people access to their farmlands. “We share boundary with Ogbona and Iraokor in Etsako-Central LGA and Apana-Uzairue in Etsako-West LGA. Our farmland is our heritage and as a responsible ruler, I cannot give it out for grazing or any other extraneous purpose, not with the insecurity all over the place now.” He appealed to other traditional rulers “who collect cow gifts from herdsmen and thereafter, give them accommodation and access to farmlands to change this act.

To travel to Turkey: student should fill the visa application form online and choose purpose of traveling (tourism, studies etc) and when you choose the purpose of your trip, then visa requirements for that purpose be shown to you.

To migrate to Turkey: ordinarily, you might have completed your studies and obtained job offer in Turkey, married Turkish citizen Or Legally based Turkish person or investment in Turkey. These are the ways to migrate to Turkey and each here also have visa requirements.
Thank you. A friend wants to migrate to Turkey, but through North Cyprus. Is it easy?

Very unfortunate, you have to physically be present in Cyprus before you can obtain it. I have tried for one of my friends recently even used the influence of the former head police of magusa but they claimed the applicant documents has been sent to Turkish embassy in Abuja, meanwhile Turkish embassy has no records of such. In summary, early last year was possible to obtain in proxy but now you can't unless you are in Cyprus.

Meanwhile, recently one of my master students also away from Cyprus had the same issue for her Canadian immigration. She submitted the application letter sent to the police with refusal for them to issue it. She got after her ADR, that background check complete and appears the embassy handling her case do retrieve some info from mainland Turkey.

Anyway, you can also try with your old friend in Cyprus to help you confirm may be they had changed the rule last nite!
Pls what does it takes for foreign student to travel/migrate from North Cyprus to Turkey?
TravelRe: Reasons Not To Go To North Cyprus To Study And Work. by nickxtra(m): 1:07pm On Feb 12, 2018
Kastamonu:
Yes, it is true that it is never rosy no matter where you go in Europe or America but the case of North Cyprus is much more difficult and pathetic. Here are reasons why it would be wiser to go to somewhere way better, than going to North Cyprus to work and study. I just completed my studies in North Cyprus, after spending four years of undergraduate studies, I know exactly what I am talking about here.

1. North Cyprus is not a country; it is not recognized as a country by the rest of the world; not by the United Nations or the European Union. Rather, it is a Turkish occupied territory. This is evident by the two flags used in the country; the Turkish flag and the North Cyprus flag. Both flags always stand side by side. North Cyprus relies on Turkey for everything even for soldiers to protect them.

2. The language spoken in North Cyprus is not English but Turkish. So students from Nigeria find it very difficult to adapt and settle down.

3. There are no good jobs. One of the ways through which travel agents deceive young Nigerians to go to North Cyprus, is to lie to them that there are very good jobs waiting for them in North Cyprus, but in truth there are no good jobs for students, not even in the universities (where they would be studying). The Universities offer students jobs in the library and information center with a pay that is less than N20,000 per month. Aside this, the jobs outside the universities are quite pitiful; because they are menial and very difficult jobs like construction, furniture making, bricklaying, painting and for ladies only cleaning jobs. These obviously are not jobs for students who hope to earn some money while studying. Like other students in North Cyprus, I had no other option but to do these jobs and trust me when I say, it was not easy to do them and at the same time go to school. Most times your academic suffer; you come from work, weak as a 'fried plantain' and you can not even open a page of your text book to study because you fall asleep almost immediately. By the way, these jobs are very difficult to find and the language barrier does not help.

4. You can never get a job with your certificate or diploma even after completion of your studies. In my four years here in North Cyprus, I have never seen a black man working in a good or reputable company. They never give foreigners or blacks jobs with their certificates.

4. Even you are able to get a job (a menial job), you get paid peanuts. The money would never be able to pay your school fees. Maybe it could be able to take care of your house rent and other bills but in the end you would be left with next to nothing to save.

5. You are openly cheated or exploited. After getting a job, you get paid in Turkish Lira (the official currency used in North Cyprus). But the irony is that you pay your house rent in pounds or euro. Even your school fees is paid in pounds, euro or dollars and not in the local currency which is much lower than the foreign currencies; thus you are losing money faster than water been poured in a basket. Hence you hardly save any money at the end of the month.

6. There is a high level of racism. This is not only obvious from how you are stared at when you walk on the streets or how you are treated when you go looking for jobs but actually what happens when you start working. Like I said earlier, the only available jobs are very difficult and there is an unwritten law that foreigners never get paid the same amount as citizens (turkish or cypriot), no matter how long you have been living in the country. Thus you and a citizen could be doing the same job but you get paid less than him. On the average, you get paid 50 turkish lira ($22/3,500 naira) per day while a citizen gets paid 100 tl ($45/N7,500) which is double what you earn. Sometimes you may be forced, by the owner or management of the company you work for, to do extra hours but the citizens never do extra hours.

7. Lastly another clear example of racism here in North Cyprus is the fact that a student of Cyprus International University, Gabriel Soriwei, was knocked down by a by a drunken female driver (a citizen). He fell into a coma; his dad came from Nigeria to see him while he was in the hospital. He recovered and was able to speak. But two weeks after his dad left for Nigeria, Gabriel died from a heart attack which was a direct result of the injuries he suffered from the accident. However, it took the efforts a relative of the Soriwei family, who stormed into a conference organized by agents from Cyprus International University who came to Nigeria to get students, before an a condolence message was sent to the family of Gabriel by the authorities of Cyprus International University. More disturbing and annoying, is the fact that the Soriwei family, till date, do not know the lady who knocked and killed their son; they don't even know what she looks like because the North Cyprus government and police refused to reveal the identity of the lady even after several messages from the boy's family that they just want to see her; that they have no intention of pressing charges. How sad...

*Note: If you have hopes of coming to North Cyprus to find a white girl or woman that would open doors of opportunity for you, you are mistaken and you better have a rethink. The turkish or cypriot ladies have no interest in black, more even they are racists, sometimes they even run away from you when you try to talk to them. Also the language barrier does not even encourage you to go out to search for a white girl who could possibly become your girlfriend or wife.

Lastly, if you are still in Nigeria and you intend to go abroad to study and possible work to get a better life for yourself, remove Cyprus from your list of possible countries to go. You would be better served going to a 'European' country like Germany, Spain or Italy where you could find better jobs and get better pay. If you are thinking of going to South Cyprus, also have a rethink because things are even worse there.
Pls, was is the possibility of a student traveling to Turkey via North Cyprus? Does one need a visa to travel to Turkey from North Cyprus?
