Family › Can A Policeman Be A Trusted Friend? by nickxtra(op): 6:08pm On Aug 26, 2018 |
Why do policemen always want to be friends or close to me?
In fact, I have about 5 different policemen, two are of SARS, 3 CID detectives and the other a normal policemen. Whenever we meet for the first time on different occasions, they would always later call me to hang out and at times would want to visit me, but on so many occasions, I have always given one excuse or the other. In fact, as am typing now, one is calling my phone which I have not picked.
At times, they give me several calls, some of which I pick and some which I do not pick.
Am having the traditional mentality that policemen can't be trusted friends, i.e. they can betray trust at any slight issue.
The funniest thing is that some of these police guys are very gentle, civil and look harmless, but am afraid of becoming a Policeman a right hand man. |

Nobody should display any heroic traits in this deadhole Nigeria...it is not worth it...he will not even be celebrated..the key to surviving in this country is to be selfish..very selfish...look at our POLITICAL leaders, business gurus and religious leaders etc.
They are all selfish..This nigggah has brought pain and untold suffering to his family...turned his young wife to a widow...brought pains to his aged parents...this guy is a niggah and should be shot dead again. Are you human? |

Not too long ago, the world hailed a Malian, Mamadou Gassama a hero, after saving a child who was dangling from balcony of a high rise building.
Let's tell that same world that a Nigerian,an Ijaw man,Berepele Joe Blankson, during a boat mishap in Rivers State,single-handedly rescued 13 out of 25 people. As he attempted to save the 14th person, he drowned and lost his life leaving behind his beautiful family.
He died a Hero!
May this hero's soul rest in God's perfect peace and may his sacrifice of love yield great fruit for his family, as we pray they find strength and peace.

Politics › Top Nigerians That May Use Thier Resources Against Pres. Buhari In 2019 Election by nickxtra(op): 12:23pm On Aug 05, 2018*. Modified: 12:43pm On Aug 05, 2018 |
As politics in the country heat up in the run up to the general elections in 2019, particular as regards the presidential polls, there are many Nigerians, political class and non political class that are so disenchanted with the current situation of things in the country and such individuals and organisations are prepared and ready to deploy every resources within thier reach to outst the current President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Muhammad Bihari.
Some of these persons and groups have already started open and and overt moves to ensure that the President, whose party, the ruling APC is equally preparing for political war, is voted out of power come February, 2019.
Here are some of these persons and groups. You may add your own:
1. The People's Democratic Party(PDP) 2. Some group or alliance of political parties. 3. Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, former President and a staunch critic of the President. 4. All the presidential hopefuls within the Platform of other political parties, including former Vice president, Atiku Abubakar; current Senate President, Senator Saraki; Aminu Tambuwal, etc 5. The Christian Association of Nigeria, whose members are aggrieved with the President's inability or non challant response to the killings going on in the country perpetraded by the President's kind men, popular known as the Fulani herdsmen. 6. The North central states of Benue, Plateau and some parts of Kaduna (Southern Kaduna), parts of Taraba and Adamawa. 7. Gen. Theophilus Danjuma, a billionaire and former Defence Minister, who of recent has condemned the Military and Presidency in the manner they have handled the killings going on all over the country. He even called on his kins men to defend themselves. 8. Ibrahim Babangida, former President who has also written an open letter of "No confidence" on the President. 9. Some parts of South East and South South states. 10.The masses of the country who are frustrated and tired of the workings of the present government. 11.Those standing trial for corruption and related issues, such as former NSA, Dasuki and his teeming supporters and sympathizers, Elzazaki and members of his Shia movements. 12. Those that defected from the ruling APC to other parties would likely put in more efforts and money to avoid being put to shame. 13. A section of the mass media 14. The political class that is not benefitting from the present political arrangment. 15. A section of the international community.
MY VERDICT:
If these and other unseen forces team up and deploy all resources within thier reach, including financial, intellectual, mobilization, etc, etc against the President, who though still command a lot of followership across country and has huge war chest in terms of finance, to execute the presidential campaign and elections, I fear the worst for the political fortune of the President in the 2019 presidential elections. |

CastedDude: An armed man was arrested while approaching the executive secretary of the National Health Insurance Scheme, NHIS, Prof. Usman Yusuf, in his office building in Abuja. The incident which reportedly happened on Friday, 3rd August 2018, has prompted security to be beefed around the executive secretary.
According to IG Wala, the secretary was coming down the staircase when the armed man in mufti approached him.
When he was stopped by the secretary’s Special Protection Unit (SPU) guard and asked to identify himself and what his mission was, he said he was a guard to the former Ag. Executive Secretary Mr. Attahiru Ibrahim.
On further interrogation about which of the services he belonged to and whether he was armed or not, he confirmed he was armed with a Pistol and claimed to be from the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corp (NSCDC) but was privately paid for by the former Ag. ES.
He could not produce any form of identification to prove his claim and that his service was not paid for by the Scheme as obtained with other security operatives in the Agency.
The secretary immediately directed security operatives to disarm the gentleman and hand him over to the Police for further interrogation.
Relevant authorities informed were the Controller General NSCDC, Commissioner of Police FCT Command and The Director DSS FCT Command.

In fact, I went with some workers at my building site to my friend's wife Restaurant to eat. While eating, we needed more food, but no one was on sight as the sales girl had gone to buy savert. We tried reaching out to my friend's wife, but she was no where to be found and she did not even hear our shouts or calls, then I got up, went towards the kitchen to approach her, I found her held on to her phone to her ears and what I heard this woman saying baffled me, telling another man(I suspect) that "my Oga will travel over the weekend and we will see...Me self dey miss u, but you must use something o... No go give me belle o. Should i come over or u will come? .., I will give it to u as u want. Na u go tire". After all these, I just shouted madam and she calmly told the person on phone "I will call you later", turned to me and said bros. I smiled and told her we have been calling her to serve us, but no response, she simply said "no mind these customers when no dey allow person rest"
Pls don't get it twisted... I strongly believe she was talking to another man. In fact, her younger brother has hadban issue with her in the past and he once told me in confidence that he suspects his sister of having a lover outside.
As for me, I don't want to scatter a family by telling my friend, her hubby to watch closely his wife, but I have told the brother to watch closely nd if he discovers anything funny, he can report her to thier parents.
As for me, until the husband catches her "korokoro", I sidon dey look. |

smellingmenses: APC national chairman Comrade Oshiomhole was at the Presidential Villa, to see the President after the weekly Federal Executive Council, FEC, meeting at the Council Chamber. Presidency sources revealed that President Buhari was not happy with the comment by his party’s national chairman where he said that if the President was condoning indiscipline from his cabinet he was not going to condone it. “The President was not happy with the comment of the APC Chairman because it portrayed the President as inefficient,” the Presidency source had said. While berating the Labour Minister for not carrying out his directive that he (Ngige) should inaugurate the board of the Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund, NSITF, Oshiomhole said, “If the minister refuses we will suspend him from the party. You know we must return to internal discipline. “For me it is the height of mischief for any minister, you cannot purport to be honourable minister and you act dishonourably and nobody is greater than the party. “And if the President condones disrespect for his office, I will not condone disrespect for the party. And when we expel the minister we will prevail on the president that he can’t keep in his cabinet people who have neither respect for his own decisions nor have respect for the party.”

Andotee: The French President, Emmanuel Macron, on Wednesday in Lagos conferred France’s highest national honour of Commander of the Legion of Honour on Globacom Chairman, Dr Mike Adenuga, Jr.
Macron bestowed the prestigious award on Dr Adenuga at the new Alliance Francaise Mike Adenuga Centre in Ikoyi, Lagos
Explaining why the French Government decided to confer the country’s highest honour on Adenuga, President Macron said the legendary business guru is “a true role model for Africa” who has contributed immensely to the growth of African and French economy.
Dr. Adenuga thus becomes the first Nigerian to be decorated with the award of Commander of the Legion of honour, a promotion from his previous honour as Chevalier(Knight) of the Legion of honour awarded to him in 2017.
According to the French Embassy, it takes 13 years to be promoted from Chevalier to Commander, but this higher order for Adenuga has happened in 8 months.
President Macron applauded Dr Adenuga on his promotion of the French language and culture in Nigeria, and also commended Bella Disu, Chief Adenuga’s daughter who conceived, coordinated and executed the Alliance Française project.
The French Ambassador, Denys Gauer, congratulated Dr. Adenuga, saying that ”his outstanding entrepreneurship and business ingenuity has today created so many jobs for Nigerians and, more importantly, value for the country.”
Gauer noted that Dr. Adenuga has developed strong business relationship with France through Alcatel in telecoms and Total in petroleum, adding: “I am very happy that your contribution to the development of the French-Nigerian relations and your appreciation of the French culture are in this manner recognized and honoured.”
He disclosed that in his two and half years in Nigeria, he can testify that Nigeria holds one trump card that is more important to surmount all challenges it may be facing now. This, he said, is the “incomparable spirit of entrepreneur, tenacity and ability to think out of the box,” adding that “Dr. Adenuga personifies all these qualities.”
The audience at the investiture included Governor Akinwumi Ambode of Lagos, Nobel Laureate Professor Wole Soyinka, top government officials, members of the diplomatic corps and captains of industry.
He also holds the Grand Commander of the Order of the Niger (GCON), Nigeria’s highest honour for a civilian who is not in government in the country as well as Ghana’s highest civil award, the Companion of the Star of Ghana (CSG). The boy don dey overstay in this country. |
