Crime / Re: Obi Nwokeh, Christopher Omoregrie & Samson Odegbune Jailed For Murder In UK by niddamugu(m): 6:02pm On Apr 20, 2012
OMO IBO: Seriously, a lot of Nigerian parents in the UK are doing a very bad job of taking care of their wards.

Until I returned to Nigeria a few months ago my parents called almost every night to make sure we were all home and doing fine. . . . .

Da hell did these kids learn to carry weapons with the intention of hurting someone else? Can't put my finger round it. The british system does not help in the slighest. This is just crazy! Simply crazy!

well said.

The system over there has little or no compatibility with the typical African (Nigerian) setting. Most people who relocate there have the sole intention of making the money and once that has consumed their minds every other thing is meaningless. These children imbibe what they are exposed to and "wysiwyg"
Politics / Re: John Fashanu Appears As Character Witness In Ibori's Sentencing by niddamugu(m): 6:31pm On Apr 18, 2012
Tropilo:

Bros, its not true. Fash did not deny Nigeria. Fact is:
Fash was invited to the Eagles camp severally but he never got a shirt cos he could not displace Yekini, Siasia, Owobokiri etc. So when he got tired of warming the bench (im bom-bom almost catch fire), he then stopped coming to camp claiming that Keshi and his boys did not want him cos he was not part of their click and also could not speak our pigin as that was the "official" language in camp.
However, Fash is a dual citizen and in the British court system, its not uncommon to call a character witness during sentencing. The character witness usually is a respected/respectable fellow and he only comes to put in a few good words for the convict just to say the guy isn't all that bad, he has some good sides too. Okocha's name came up cos Okocha is from Delta state and presently the Vice Chair of DSC and seriously loved in Bolton and since the judge is a native of Bolton they used Okocha's name to touch his heart so that the "Thief Ona-na-thief Gems" Ibori could get a lighter sentence. It worked! The rogue was initially "officially" entitled to 25yrs.

In summary, you are on the winning side.... wink wink wink wink wink wink

How relevant is Fashanu in Nigeria? When it mattered most he denied his country. I guess he wants a share of the "Ibori-loot".

Vikin: hmmmm....leave her make she wear the tattoo abeg. These places you mentioned are hidden areas only your eyes will see them( i hope ). so you have no option than to enjoy it. The deed has been done!

Did you hear yourself? For his eyes only yet he did not put them there. Something is definitely going on and sorry to say this, your life is already at risk. The bible is against such prints. Read Lev_19:28

Cuttings in your flesh for the dead - Compare the margin reference. Among the excitable races of the East this custom appears to have been very common.
Print any marks - Tattooing was probably practiced in ancient Egypt, as it is now by the lower classes of the modern Egyptians, and was connected with superstitious notions. Any voluntary disfigurement of the person was in itself an outrage upon God’s workmanship, and might well form the subject of a law.

JomoGbomo2: @Beaf: Sometimes we confuse leadership with expertise in our chosen career.

Anyway, what I think this means is that the world power is telling her to forget the world bank job and take on the substitute in the UN coffer. It couldn't have been more obvious.

That's exactly the game plan.

Beaf: This woman will be our future President.

Our political terrain is not ripe for that. Not in this present generation.

Ladies & Gents,

1. The reason for this post is (i think) my "little" contribution towards rejuvenating NL following the owner's initiative of giving it a face lift.
2. Let's stop trading blames - it takes nobody anywhere
3. Who is moderating this post?
4. What does it take to be a mod?
5. Why is this post not on the front page? That way we can be compelled to taking prompt actions following the responses/revelations we would get.
Or is NL into politics too?

Speak now while it is hot and fresh.

I have read through the responses and the revelations are getting quite interesting. It would make sense if the poll is completed alongside. Meanwhile, can we make this topic a front page item? Please? The revelations would be shocking. sad sad sad sad

Dear all,

I have observed with utter dismay the way this site is being managed especially on the topics. Recently, I have observed that so many posters do not care to refer to topics before posting them hence, there are so many duplication. This thus brings to the fore the question: Are you really getting the desired social interaction/satisfaction it is meant to provide?

The stage is open for your views and comments.

Foreign Affairs / Osama Bin Laden Fathered 4 Kids While On The Run by niddamugu(m): 5:27pm On Mar 30, 2012
Osama bin Laden fathered four children as he hid out in Pakistan after the 9/11 attacks, his youngest wife told interrogators, according to a police report seen by AFP on Friday.
Amal Abdulfattah’s account provides rare details of the Al-Qaeda leader’s life from when he fled Afghanistan in late 2001 until his death aged 54 last May during a US Navy SEAL operation in Abbottabad, in Pakistan.
Abdulfattah, from Yemen, was arrested by Pakistani authorities following the US raid on bin Laden’s compound near the Pakistani capital Islamabad, along with two of his Saudi wives, and her five children.
The three widows face charges of illegally entering and residing in Pakistan.
The police report, dated January 19, said Abdulfattah was born into a family of 17 children and married bin Laden because “she had a desire to marry a Mujahedeen”, using the term for “holy warrior”.
The report, from the office of the inspector general of police in Islamabad, recommended Abdulfattah and her children be immediately deported.

Religion / Re: Is It Truely Demonic To Eat In The Dream? by niddamugu(m): 3:36pm On Mar 28, 2012
CynthiaIfy: I have heard countless times that eating in the dream is demonic and a serious spiritual problem. Even when you cooked the food yourself in the dream. Not that am doubting what the pastors said or their belief, i just get a little confused over how it is really demonic. Some even say it can cause death as the food eaten can be poison!
Please my fellow nairalanders help throw some light on this as i would really like to know the truth about eating in the dream.

Seek proper counsel and go for deliverance!

1. it could mean unconscious initiation
2. it could mean spiritual poisoning
3. it could mean destiny destruction
4. it could also mean spiritual infirmity that would manifest in the physical sometime soon

The list is endless.

Meanwhile, I hope you are not bringing this thread to stir up another controversial (heretic) message of Oyakhilome? I watched his video on eating in the dream and I Shook My Head.

Be warned!

Religion / Re: Biblically Proving Why Nigeria Can Never Have A Good Leader by niddamugu(m): 3:22pm On Mar 28, 2012
buzugee: PSALMS 125 VS 3 A wicked ruler will not be allowed to govern the land set aside for righteous people. thats pretty much self explanatory. the lord will bless good righteous people with righteous leaders. But some (OMOPASTOR) may say, how about if a righteous ruler tries to rule the unrighteous people ? maybe the righteous ruler can turn things around. This is Gods answer to that PSALMS 94 VS 20 Shall the throne of iniquity have fellowship with thee ? basically what this means is that if you are a righteous person, should you be having fellowship with unrighteous people ? So basically you are at a stalemate. good righteous people are prohibited by the lord from trying to take power in a land of unrighteous and yet the lord only blesses righteous people with good leaders and nigeria is full of unrighteous people.

whats the solution ? for the country to get better, according to the lord, the people have to get righteous, only then will he bless them with a righteous and great leader.

My brother, your scripture ought to have been 2Chr 7:14 - If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Unfortunately, many of the called have followed the way of Demas (the cares of this world) and are wining and dining with the so called "unrighteous ones". Very sad indeed! sad sad sad sad sad Let us not be quick to judge this country. If everyone has the mindset that one day the whole acquisition would suddenly come to and end, then they would like other advancing countries. Then end of the mighty men in this country is nearer than you think - Job 34:20 In a moment shall they die, and the people shall be troubled at midnight, and pass away: and the mighty shall be taken away without hand. What this is simply saying is that they will just "expire" just like perishable items everywhere, no one touches them but everyone simply see that they are gone and can only be remembered by what they have done - Ecc 12:13-14 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
