Three people were killed and six wounded in a shooting Wednesday night near a Tel Aviv bar and restaurant complex, a hospital said, with police terming it a “terrorist attack”. “The death has just been determined of three persons,” said a statement from Ichilov hospital, near the complex across the street from Israel’s defence ministry and main army headquarters. “We are talking here about a pretty serious terrorist incident,” Tel Aviv police chief Chico Edri told reporters. “Two terrorists arrived at the complex and while firing and to our regret nine people were injured to different degrees. "Of the two terrorists, one was arrested and the other wounded by gunfire,” he said. “The weapons they were carrying have been seized… we do not know of another terrorist at large and so from our point of view people can return to their normal lives.” There were no immediate details identifying the attackers or victims. Violence since October last year has left 205 Palestinians and 28 Israelis dead, according to an AFP count. Most of the Palestinians killed were carrying out knife, gun or car-ramming attacks, Israeli authorities say. Many have been young Palestinians, including teenagers. When it comes to policies that affects their national development, Chinese government don't usually apply an easy one...and this time, they have done it again just as they did in areas of anti-corruption, and I strongly wish Nigerian government will adopt strict policies like this on corruption, money laundering, exam malpractice and militancy or terrorism. According to TIME reports, Chinese students sitting down to the most important exams of their lives this week needed no reminder of how high stakes were. But they got one — the promise of jail time if they were caught cheating on their tests. It’s the first time that custodial sentences have been stipulated for anyone using underhand tactics to get ahead their gaokao university entrance examinations — essentially China’s equivalent of America’s SAT. School leavers are assessed on their Chinese, mathematics, English and another subject of their choosing, though accusations of mass cheating have been rife in recent years, even involving alleged organized syndicates between teachers and pupils. In 2013, there was a riot at one school when invigilators tried to halt brazen exam fraud. Already, surveillance drones and metal detectors are deployed to catch those smuggling in illicit radio equipment, while iris and fingerprint scanners ferret out brainy stooges paid to sit the test in lieu of the bona fide student. Read More: Read Stephen Hawking’s Charming Message to Stressed Chinese Students Now, though, those caught cheating will be banned from repeating the test for several years, while anyone caught facilitating mass cheating or paying someone else to sit the test on their behalf can face up to seven years in prison. “So many students cheated the year I took my gaokao and if cheating were treated as a criminal offense then, I would be much better off than I am now,” posted one user on China’s Twitter-like microblog Weibo. “I think there are many victims like me.” Security is so tight that for the first time SWAT teams will accompany gaokao test papers, with at least eight police officers guarding each examination hall in Beijing, reports state media. For Chinese students, the pressure to succeed can be overwhelming. This year, an estimated 9.4 million high school students are vying for just over 3 million undergraduate places. Last year, only 1 in 10 students were accepted into “top tier” universities, while a quarter failed to get into tertiary education of any standard. Without a good gaokao test score, opportunities are largely reduced to low-paying blue-collar jobs. Many students are only children because of China’s recently rescinded one-child policy, and, owing to the nation’s spotty social security provision, are solely relied upon to support their parents and grandparents though their dotage. As such, even those not prone to cheat go to extraordinary lengths to succeed on the gaokao. There are short-term nannies — normally students at top universities who recently bested the gaokao themselves — who are paid top dollar to act as study partners, even moving in with their charges for maximum effect. Some parents pay for hotel rooms near the testing center to maximize sleep and pretest swatting time. But there are other ways to glean a slight advantage in the gaokao, even if it does not strictly count as cheating. Students in certain parts of China — most notably Beijing, home of China’s elite progeny — sit a different gaokao that is perceived as easier than the test taken, for example, in highly populated Shandong and Hebei provinces. In addition, many of China’s most prestigious universities are Beijing-based, and they all reserve places for local students with a Beijing hukou (residence registration), meaning competition for these places is far less. However, students must generally take their exam wherever their hukou is registered. Getting your hukou transferred to Beijing is pretty tricky but getting it moved to a remote province, where there are also lower university-entrance stipulations, a short while before the test is feasible for those with enough ready cash and connections. (Incidentally, students from China’s 55 ethnic minorities also automatically get points added to their scores.) Naturally, these regional variations are a cause of great bitterness to exam students, and are also a frequent cause of protests. “The government spent a lot of effort to stop cheating, but I think the biased regional policies are the biggest discrimination,” posted one Weibo user. The newly crowned Miss USA is a 26-year-old Army officer from the District of Columbia who gave perhaps the strongest answer of the night when asked about women in combat. "As a woman in the United States Army, I think ... we are just as tough as men. As a commander of my unit, I'm powerful, I am dedicated," Deshauna Barber said. "Gender does not limit us in the United States." he winner of Sunday's 2016 Miss USA competition held at the T-Mobile Arena off the Las Vegas Strip will go on to compete in the Miss Universe contest. Barber is the first-ever military member to win Miss USA. In a press conference following the event, the 26-year-old lieutenant from Northeast DC said she plans to take a break from the Army Reserves and had already discussed with superiors the possibility of going inactive for a couple of years should she win the title. She said she currently serves two days per month. "My commander should be watching right now," Barber said. "Two days a month is definitely not active duty. It is an obligation that I signed up for but they are very flexible in the United States Army Reserves." Barber said she plans to use the pageant's spotlight and her title to support veteran's causes and tackle the issue of suicide and post-traumatic stress disorder among military members. When asked what message she had for the presidential candidates --including former pageant owner and presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump -- Barber said they should focus more on veteran's issues, including the backlog at veterans hospitals. "I think that a lot of the topics that they discuss isn't as important," she said in a glittering gold gown. Barber's not the only contestant who had to address the election and the Republican candidate, who had a public break-up with the beauty pageant organization last year. MossadAgent:I am not disputing the possibilities of another Islamic war against Christians in Nigeria or the world over, but all I am saying is this: Muslims should not expect a win-win war like the Armenian own....in our present world and time, war is not just won by number of soldiers you have....but through intelligence gathering and technological might, and these two war tools belong to the Christians even in Nigeria of today. How many northerners do you hear about inventing any technological innovation in foreign institutions and countries How many northerners do you hear making wave in Russian, American, Canadian, German, English, Chinese, etc universities or nation![]() When war breaks out fully in Nigeria which we pray not, or when Nigerian Muslims declare full war against Christians in Nigeria, especially those in the south, that's when you will understand that northerners are just making mouth and causing havoc when people are only minding their business and trying to make a living for themselves and family...because it won't be funny....1967 civil war will be a joke...it won't be fought on one side like in 1967, that I can assure you. People are not sleeping...who wants to be wiped from the face of this earth just like that Believe me, Nigerian Muslims can't wage any formal war against Christians in Nigeria of today, not possible...they can only continue with their ragtag violence of killing innocent unarmed Christians who aren't expecting any violence or attack.Northern Nigeria dominated by Muslims have population, but mostly of uneducated, unrefined and unintelligent youths who just take command and rush to war front with sticks, daggers, knives, machetes, guns and what have you....they don't fight with intelligence....so wait until full war is declared. You can't compare the war-readiness of the northern Nigeria by the rate at which their illiterate youths take up arms to attack and kill unarmed innocent villagers and people going about their businesses without expecting war. You can only know who will win when the real war breaks out...by then, you will see the demon, the vulture and the ghost in other tribes and regions, so don't panic even though your write-up calls for some caution from the Christians in political power, well done ![]() |

Very thought-provoking articles....the problem is, Christian teachings and doctrines preaches peace a lot, even in death, and this owe tribute to the ways and teachings of Jesus Christ which Christians strive to emulate in their daily life and dealings with people. If not for the way Christianity changes Christians' mentality and mindset to always preach peace and embrace love, I can guarantee you that no religion or people can challenge the Christians because Christian countries and regions are the power house and technology pivot of the whole world. But then, what happened to Armenians, Asyrians and ancient Christians can't happen now...Muslims can't dare it in this modern age because ISIS that tried something similar in their own country and territories couldn't stand the heat...right now, they (ISIS) are now using children and women to shield themselves as Syrian soldiers backed by USA, UK, Russia and other Christian countries are about to annihilate them. So don't worry, they can't even think of such again to talk of doing it, never again! ![]() |

The Most Reverend Nicholas Okoh, the Primate, Church of Nigeria in the Anglican Communion, says the Church would partner the Federal Government in finding solutions to the challenges facing the country. Okoh said this on Friday while answering questions from State House correspondents after a closed door meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja. He said the church was disturbed by the reported clashes between farmers and herdsmen, vandalism of the country’s oil infrastructure and insecurity in parts of the country. “We are all looking for solution to issues of the herdsmen; we are looking for solution on the issue of vandalism. “We are looking for solution to the issue of security one way or the other because the people are asking us. “And we want to have explanation for the people whom we lead, and among other things. “He gave us detailed explanation of what he is doing to ensure that these things are solved. “So, we have hope; we have a message for our people.’’ Okoh, who is also the Archbishop of Abuja province, expressed satisfaction with the efforts the President Buhari-led administration was making to overcome the problems. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the Archbishop, who was accompanied by a group of Bishops, prayed for the progress and development of the country. “We pray that this administration will succeed in all its projects, its programmes and plans to transform Nigeria to a better place. “We have many detractors – some are hiding, some are known; some are not known – we pray that You change their minds. “Those who busy themselves, scheming for evil, Lord change them. “We pray that our children will know a better Nigeria. “Thank you for all of us working in different sections to make the country better. ’’ Culled from: http://www.ngnblog.com/2016/06/see-what-president-buhari-told-anglican.html

So many concerned Nigerians are beginning to worry about the President's health, with many arguing that he may not be as strong as we assume owing to the fact of his too many presidential trip cancellations of recent. You will recall that President Muhammadu Buhari cancelled his official visit to Lagos State, the state that worked so hard to bring him to the corridors of power today....this came as a shock to many Lagosians, including the state governor, Akinwunmi Ambode who spent billions preparing for the coming of the number one citizen to his state. While Nigerians argued that President Buhari's Lagos visit cancellation came as a result of the president's health, others believe the President wasn't prepared mentally enough for the trip, though the opposition insists its about the President's health...and while these arguments continued, President shocked even his supporters again when he cancelled his planned official flag off of the Ogoni land oil spill clean-up yesterday, and instead appointed his vice, Prof. Osinbajo to represent him at the event. This caused a nationwide outbursts on newspaper stands, social media and offices, with people pouring out their disappointment with the president's Ogoni land trip cancellation. Though some of President Buhari's supporters maintained that the president knows what he's doing and cannot be coerced into doing what he doesn't wish to do, those at the opposition laughed at the president, claiming that he cancelled his trip just because of an ordinary assassination threat by an unknown caller on a London based Radio Biafra programme. Still, many Nigerians believe its about the president's health, and while Nigerians are still wondering what could be the reasons for President Buhari's consecutive official trip cancellations, comes another huge one - President cancels his official trip to Dakar, Senegal! This Senegal trip cancellation will make it the third crucial official trip the president has cancelled consecutively! Now, the question many concerned Nigerians on social media and newspaper stands are asking is: HOW STRONG IS THE PRESIDENT? Is everything okay with the widely supported president who swore to bring past corrupt politicians to book? I think, only time will answer this critical question, but then, we at ngnblog wish the president well in all his effort to bring change in Nigeria. A Chinese teenager hid in the cargo hold of an Emirates airliner during a nine-hour flight to Dubai where he hoped to make a fortune, describing the journey as "comfortable", reports said Wednesday. The 16-year-old stowaway was found after the flight from Shanghai landed in Dubai on Friday, the English-language daily 7Days reported citing police. "He told us that the bags section in the plane had been comfortable," said Dubai's assistant police chief for ports and airports, General Ahmed bin Thani. "He planned to come to Dubai after hearing about the lifestyle, and he was looking to make money," he added. Speaking through a translator, the stowaway from Bazhong in southwest China said he heard an online rumour that "even beggars" can make good money in Dubai , the paper said citing Chinese media. It was unclear how the teenager, who remains in custody in the Gulf emirate, got into the cargo hold, which is usually pressurised and temperature-controlled, unlike wheel wells where stowaways risk death due to freezing temperatures and a lack of oxygen. Teacher Vera, 24, already a mother of one developed a relationship with the 13 year old student after he asked for her number on Instagram. Police are on the hunt for a middle school teacher charged with continuous sexual abuse of a child after she claimed she got pregnant by her 13-year-old student - with the blessing of his family. Alexandria Vera, 24, allegedly admitted to engaging in a sexual relationship with the young boy since September, after they began flirting during a summer school session. Vera, of Houston,Texas, told prosecutors that she gave him her number on Instagram after he failed to show up to class and that the relationship developed from there. The boy asked Vera if they could hang out and she agreed. They then began taking drives in her car and kissing and soon started having sex on an almost daily basis, according to court documents. Their first sexual encounter happened after Vera went to drop the child off, but his parents were not home. They then went back to her house. And the couple didn't keep their relationship a secret - even at school. One student told Eyewitness news: '[The student] like grabbed her butt and everybody saw it. And then they were talking about it.' Lesson to girls and ladies: Before u woo or ask a guy out, pls make sure u are very beautiful; especially shape-wise because majority of men all over the world fantasize about having a very sexy-looking girl with that Kim Kardashian kind of shape. So to avoid embarrassment, if u know u are not beautiful to that extent, don't ask any guy out directly, instead attract them to u using other of your God-given qualities like- good manner, intelligence, business/financial acumen, career success, being Godly, etc. Leave direct asking of guys out for the obviously sexy, beautiful girls because most guys won't turn them down. Lastly, if u like a guy as a girl or lady, there are more effective ways of asking him out instead of making it public like this. One effective, classy way to ask a guy out or make him notice u online is by liking his posts, threads...always quote him with very loving comment....observe how he responds, then if positive, send him a PM telling him u just wanted to say hi...don't say more. And make sure u have your original, non-edited natural picture on your profile while doing all these. If he likes u as much as u do, he will take it from there. Opening direct thread like this may embarrass him....he maybe a shy person, he may have other girls here he's admiring and already talking to behind screen, and your going public with your crush on him may ruin his chances with others. So next time, tread cautiously, we are living in a male-dominated and wired world, don't follow boys and act like boys in everything in life, sometimes, think about your gender and the kind of society you live in. In all, it was bold of you, good luck |
