In my opinion a good initiative has been defeated here;

1) The CBN should have limited the notes to be changed to N500 and N1000 notes. Most of the illicit funds are stashed in these two denominations.

2 This would have allowed a simple higher value note to be in circulation and available to the citizens.

3) Its obviously clear now that the CBN risk assessment of the commercial banks and telecom sector to absorb the increased demand of going cashless was faulty.

4. Faulty inspection of distribution of the new motes by commercial banks not backed by punitive measures.

5. Prompt inceneration of deposited notes by the CBN with 100% to CBN, 40% cash return to commercial banks and 60% cutover to cashless transactions.

We have passed the critical point.

The CBN should print or send more of the N200 notes into circulation. They are less attractive for hoarding under any guise.

If truly the above pics are Wike's boys then all his rant and scheming was for his personal interest.

Its his choice and right though i wish majority of Rivers people will vote their conscience without any form of inducement or intimidation from state actors.

I finally experienced this today.

I needed cash this morning and went to use our neighborhood POS operator. She said all she has this morning is N2000 ( NO CASH EITHER NEW OR OLD)and each note has a N200 charge as against the previous N100 that would have been charged for a N2000 withdrawal. Implications of this is N400 is been charged which i had to turn down.

I've always said the small notes N100 and below needs to be readily available for small purchases.

Which brings us to value of the note and number of times used during circulation.

As a realist, I'm not expecting him to solve 100% of Nigeria's problems because that would be living in delusions. I don't even expect him to solve 50% of it, because reality is... Good analysis though i wish APC had fielded PYO. Truly you can't take strategy away from BAT but Obi-Datti looks like a divine mandate.

APC is the Goliath out there while LP is little David.

If it were possible, i wish LP, PDP, NNPP and others should merge first.

On this i agree with Kwankwaso. The person who asked that question was undiplomatic. There will be alliances and shifts till the eve of the election by the strong contenders.

Not all decisions will be made public to the media. Even when you desire someone to step down you also need to provide a soft landing such that the person will be relevant politically beyond that decision.

It has to be a WIN-WIN for both or all who formed that alliance.

A good example was CPC+ACN+AD=APC back in 2014 though that meager has formed a sour taste in the mouth of most Nigerians today.

DJ Goodie's family alleged that he was killed on Christmas Day at about 1:00 am after a scuffle at the County Lux Comfort Hotel in Marikanani.



The DJ was rushed to Mariakani Sub-county Hospital where he
succumbed while receiving treatment.


Asides from alleging that DJ Goodie's employer attempted to interfere with investigations into the incident, the family also accused the club's management of booking the deceased as an unknown patient at the Mariakani Sub-county Hospital even though he's worked for them for six years.
