toure has played that AM role several times. it's an opportunity for city to use an extra defensive midfielder. toure sits at the tip of the pivot!

Toure and Ramsey played the same position last year. Silva/Nasri were the creative forces for City last season.

The Chelsea game saw Toure paired with freaking Demichelis in the middle of the park. How was he expected to perform in tandem with that Whale? I remember Coogar was delighted when he saw the teamsheet and correctly predicted that Luiz-Matic-Ramires combo would destroy the city midfield

You make it seem like taking pens is the easiest thing in the world. If it was, then teams won't have dedicated penalty takers.

Attacking wise, Toure outperformed Vidal last season boasting more goals, a significantly higher pass completion rate, and a significantly higher take on rate.

Defensively, Vidal committed more fouls and was dribbled more than Toure. If you then compare the fact that Vidal had double the amount of yellows that Toure had, then you can understand who the real boss in midfield is.

How on this earth is Vidal better than Yaya Toure?

I think he's unlikely to be offered the top dog position at any of the big clubs at the moment, because he hasn't been able to replicate the bombastic form from his debut season.
