chelseabmw: £133 million for Juan Mata, Kevin de Bruyne, David Luiz & Romelu Lukaku. grin grin

Ladies and gentleman, Jose Mourinho For You!!
cheesy
The only real coup there was the David Luiz transfer.

Mata was easily worth the 30+ mill pounds.

I feel that the De Bruyne and Lukaku transfers in time will be seen to be monumental mistakes.

The profit on both is only about 8-10 million give or take, and barring injury crises I expect both players to be worth at least double what they went for in a few years.

Lukaku in particular has the potential to be one of the best strikers in the world in a few years time...he's only 21.

I read somewhere that comparison of the number of league goals scored by the age of 21 sees Lionel Messi with 57, Michael Owen 55 and Wayne Rooney 44 - Lukaku has 65.

That's why I'm soooo pained.

Ibime: Why argue with someone who is obviously a fool?
Can't you see his level of literacy? He keeps calling Torres Enino instead of El Nino. Leave the dimwit alone jor.

Daftness...Daftness everywhere...

xp17: we don't just need a player who can score against small teams, we need a player whose presence can intimidate sturdy defenders and tores is better off in that standard.
Last season Lukaku scored against Liverpool, Arsenal and Mancity.
The only club in the Top 4 last season that didnt chop it was the one Lukaku was ineligible to face.
How is Torres better in this regard? Daft statement Number 1

lukaku cannot be trusted with big games, especially with other European counterparts, but Enino has proven himself over and over that he's for bigger competitions and he has won trophies both for Chelsea and Spain which lukaku is yet to do.
Did Lukaku get the chance to play in the big games? He's been farmed out on loan twice in a row so what is the basis of your assertion that 'Lukaku cannot be trusted with big games'? Daft statement Number 2
the major problem with Liverpool last season were the strikers. yes, they did scored lots of goals, even more than every other teams, but they were deficit at helping the defenders out. sturredge, steering, and Suarez were never seen helping out with the defenders, they always seat their as's up waiting for a counter attack.
Strikers are attackers. That is their job. Why on earth should a striker be DEFENDING?
Daft statement Number 3

you see those sires called Enino and AdeDrogba, they are always helping out in the defence line and have been doing that since 1903, with superb and never missed tackles, likewise coasta. but the lousy kid 'lukaku' thinks scoring goals and getting self glory makes you a good striker, no! it doesn't.
Daft statement Number 4

Costa was fantastic last season, but has only ever scored more than ten in a league season on one occasion- Lukaku has done so four times. Costa's shot accuracy in the league (57%) was also lower than Lukaku's(67%) last season.

Lukaku won 38% of his aerial duels (compared to Costa's 21%) and was dispossessed only 1.7 times per game in the Premier League compared to Costa's 3.6

Daftness....daftness everywhere...

Pataki: Torres perfectly fits into the game plan/strategy of Mourinho.

All you plastic Chelsea fans should get behind your coach and support him for this brilliant idea of finally getting rid of Romelu and freeing up some cash for your club.

Romelu was a god @ Everton simply because Everton players centered the game around him. Can that same method be replicated @ Chelsea? What you Chelsea plastic fans do not know is that every player inclusive of your strikers fight for their glory. Romelu will not function at optimum best in such environment. Same mistake that happened with Demba after moving from Newcastle to Chelsea.
And whose fault is it that his employers have no faith in his abilities despite scoring over 30 league goals in 2 seasons?

When they were caught, why was the belt not detonated by the suicide bomber?

Suicide bombers are usually ready to die when caught, so why did these ones try to run away?

Maybe the belt hadn't been activated yet when the girl was caught....

mithel: all i am saying, everyone is doing like they dont know no matter how much he impresses, mou would have done a Costa-torres-drogba-lukaku(4th choice) ....we have seen this kind of thing play out many times, when lamps was playing ahead of de bryune nko??

Meanwhile, mourinho smoke something ni??so we loan out bertrand.... leaving only Felipe luis as natural LB,and knowing mou's unconditional love for ivanovic, azpi to stay on the bench a lot this season...my hopes aint high at all
IMO I think that what we've seen is a clash of egos a la Ferguson and Beckham.

Lukaku understandably felt he had done enough to have a team built around him. At West Brom and Everton he was a big fish in a small pond and expected to keep his big fish status at Chelsea.

Jose is willing to cut off his nose to spite his face, he insists that he must be the biggest fish in the huge Chelsea pond and Lukaku simply had to go and seek out the love elsewhere.

Bottom line, both men win.

We lose.

lalaboi: 1. . Which is exactly what was expected of him. He was not patient enough. HE could have eaily displaces Torres if he replicated those goals he scored on loan. Imagine We went almost a whole season with Torres as the ONLY striker with no bloody competition. Are you telling me Lukaku would not get games? Torres playes almost 60games that season alone!

2. Wether you like to admit it or not, Sturridge playing as a 9 is not suited for chelsea! If we dont have that target man up front to hold up play you cant do shiit. Costa signing and Drogba coming back should tell you what the deal is.
Strurridge is still Selfish AF.
Easily displace Torres bawo?

Lukaku has scored more goals in his last 2 seasons than Torres has in his last 4.

That Torres is even allowed to breathe the same air as Romelu is justifiably enough to piss him off gaan...let alone having the manager identify the dud as being higher in the pecking order.

It's like a PHD holder being forced to work under an obvious Olodo with a pass certificate from Iganmode grammar school...

obailala: I have simply explained to you what the malaise is, IMPUNITY.

Corruption is a major problem in Nigeria, but impunity is the greatest problem which nourishes this corruption... Impunity is the ONLY reason why Nigeria is synonymous with corruption.

Berlusconi for instance was charged for tax evasion and sentenced to prison. In the next 100 years can you honestly say tax evasion can send even a local government chairman to prison in Nigeria?.. by all standards, that isn't even a crime in Nigeria because corruption has already been infused into our culture.

If IBB, Abacha's children, OBJ etc were charged to court and imprisoned for their blatant looting of our national wealth, do you honestly think corruption would be as wide spread as it is in Nigeria today?..

If only our leaders could have a single iota of fear as regards stealing public funds, don't you think the nation would be better?.. Impunity remains the biggest problem in Nigeria.

..and just before I go, Yes! the degree of corruption in Nigeria is thousands of miles ahead of what is obtainable in those developed countries you keep mentioning.. the reason is obvious from my explanations..
I don't think you understand the meaning of the word 'Impunity'.

You do realise that in a lot of countries serving government officials are immune to criminal prosecution through out the duration of thier tenure?

Now the fact that Berlusconi for example, who has been charged with several criminal offences ranging from child sex abuse to collusion with the mafia to embezzlement and tax fraud, was finally sentenced to 1 year of community service is not the point here.

Berlusconi has always acted with impunity and for good reason. He has only been convicted once in 32 court cases. ONCE.

And even then he was given the choice of how he wanted to serve his own sentence, eventually opting for 4 hours of community service a day for a year.

How is that different to what obtains in Nigeria? The mere fact that prosecutors have so far tried to nail this guy 32 TIMES shows you that Berlusconi does what he wants with no concern for consequences

General Franco of Spain seized power via a very bloody coup and ruled Spain with an iron fist for almost 40 years.

Nicholas Sarkozy, France's immediate past president has recently been arrested for embezzlement and corruption. No surprise there as he had been legal counsel to Silvio Berlusconi for years

People like you are sadly daft enough to believe that the white man is a saint.

Corruption is EVERYWHERE and in EVERY GOVERNMENT, yet western governments seem to thrive IN SPITE of the embedded corrupt elements.

There must be another reason why Nigeria and by extension African Countries are so dysfunctional.

You don't need to think hard. The answer is right in front of you.

obailala: Now I see you must belong to the lot who excuse our societal ills because you strongly believe we aren't alone.. Always screaming things like, "Nigeria is not the only corrupt country"... I weep for the so called intelligence you claim..

Now back to the statement you tried to counter, do you really think those other countries mentioned have an EQUAL and widespread level of corruption and moral decadence as Nigeria?.. If so, how come they still prosper but we only retrogress? .. have you ever asked yourself that question?

Yes! corruption existing everywhere however, the Nigerian corruption dish is served with a very special spice called IMPUNITY which makes it irresistible and unstoppable.

IMPUNITY = "if I steal and I'm caught, I am 99% sure I will not still go to prison"

With impunity over the decades, our corruption has grown to unbelievable heights which dwarfs what is obtainable in those other countries mentioned... Now that is why they progress and we don't; our corruption is at a totally different level.. Nigerians really need to shelve the complacent argument of "corruption exists everywhere"
Lmao

You have no idea of what you are talking about.

Corruption is corruption and can never be eliminated from any government.

And for all your talk about impunity, was Silvio Berlusconi any less brazen in his criminal exploits than Obasanjo? Was General Franco less brazen than Abacha? Or how is corruption in Nigeria any less different to what obtains in Russia and China? Abi did we not just see former French president Sarkozy arrested on embezzlement charges like another former French president Jacques Chirac before him?

There is no area of the world that has a monopoly of corrupt and criminal minded individuals in government. They are geographically dispersed.

So I put it to you that corruption is not the cause of Nigeria's problems today. Corruption is merely a symptom of a deeper malaise in the Nigerian system.

You need to start asking yourself what that malaise is. cheesy
PoliticsRe: Infrastructural Neglect In Nigerian Barracks by Nihilist: 4:00pm On Jul 29, 2014
Definitive: It is about what we say all the time - the Nigerian mentality. We, us, your Dad and mine - are the government. We aren't ruled by the military or some monarchy.

If we decide to annihilate the three evils bedevilling our country: Corruption, Ethnicity and its attendant Nepotism, then we'll begin taking the very first few steps to cleaning this augean stable in the mess currently known as Nigeria.

It took Hong Kong 10 years. Maylasia also turned around. I believe this is why many are advocating for the tall Katsina General to rule this country; but he wouldn't do it alone. Many believe that he is disciplined and forthright. Indeed, that's what Nigeria needs at the moment.

We must disavow this 'make I chop my own mentality.' We must ask to give the society, rather than take from it or amass some ill-gotten wealth.

The average American, British, Finnish or government official thinks first about his country before he thinks about his personal gain. The system works in their climes. Corruption has grinded ours - yet we: U and me, are the ones who have oiled the wheels of this decay... It isn't time to point fingers, that's why I've not alienated myself - even though I've played no personal roles in government before now...

The way out of this is by changing our orientation about our country, voting sane men into power, questioning the authorities per unit time and remaining faithful, honest and forthright - even in our personal and daily activities.

The average white lie, the little cheating in 'business', the lassisitude we attach to our daily responsibilities - even outside of government - are all that has added up to stagnate out dear country. Money alone wouldn't do it, it is about revamping the mentality of every one of us.

I submit!
cheesy

LMAO

So you really believe that Westerners are morally superior to Nigerians?

That the western government officials are not corrupt?

And that westerners don't tell 'white lies' or don't engage in 'the little cheating in business'?

Hahahahaha

Your writing style indicates a high level of education.
