babyosisi: In Nigeria she may not escape In the USA with enough evidence if abuse, she can walk There are many examples of abused women getting off when proven It is a legitimate defence You must think the legal system is in the pits for you to think it can be arm-twisted like that. What evidence of abuse is there in the story? Who says telling a ruse story of abuse acquits first degree murderers? A 19-year-old housemaid to the Ovudahs, who gave her name as simply Loveth said she witnessed how Ovudah died, saying she first noticed that Charity added something to her husband’s food thatfateful night.
She said: “I was the one who served the food for my aunt’s husband but my aunt added something that looked like salt and mixed it together".
“So when Oga came back and started eating I was monitoring him. After about 30 minutes he started behaving strange and fell off the dining chair, rolling on the floor and shouting for help."
“That was when my aunt came and stabbed him till he gave up”, she said. In case you missed this part She poisoned him, to probably render him powerless or defenseless, then she brutally stabbed him to death! 100 lawyers with %100 records pespectively will not get her out of that quagmire! |

AjanleKoko: Hmm. Well, statistics say the contrary, you know. A team played over 300 games in five years, 2009 to 2013, and lost less than 15 of those games, a winning streak in the high eighties. Even worse is the statistic that only four of those defeats have been by a two or more goal margin. And in only two of those four defeats have Barcelona failed to score a single goal. Interesting, isn't it?
That kind of deflates the 'Barcelona can be stopped' theory a little. Yes, of course, they can be stopped. But how many teams have been able to stop them? For those who managed it, how well have they been able to replicate their 'stopping' formula? Thank Ogun say you delf sabi say you can be stopped. Many teams have replicated it jo; Real Sociedad nko? Chelsea nko? You still aint got nothing on Inter |

Johnpaul88: I was reading the analysis of Barca's loss against Milan in Zonal Marking the other day, and the writer pointed out that that loss was the only one he has seen in the last 5 years that Barca really deserved to lose. Take for example Barca's loss against Chelsea last season over two legs. Yes we lost, but not without a fight. Chelsea was never comfortable at any point in the match and this culminated to Barca having 37 chances at goal and hitting the woodwork 6 times and missing a penalty. But you can't say the same thing with our loss at Milan or against Madrid. Even at the start of the season when Barca lost 2 - 1 to Madrid playing a man down almost 70 mins, they created enough chances to still draw the match and win the cup. It's difficult to see Barca play bad when everything is equal. You are choosing an angle of convenience to argue from. Have you not been watching Barca the last 5 years yourself? Why do you have to rely on what some writer says to buttress whatever, when you can make your own deductions? Even going by the permutations of this same columnist of yours, did Barca not deserve to loose that Copa del Rey second leg by that 1 - 3 margin? Shey all them teams wey una don dey wallop have been so beaten because they didn't put up a fight? Or because even their best fight was not enough on the day? That 5 - 0 drubbing of Real is not because they didn't give it a fight, they were simply out- manoeuvred Yes you lost to Chelsea with a gallant fight, but you still lost inspite of your gallantry, and that's what I meant when I said you can be outwitted even on your best days! You dey form o, you nor dey form o, you can be outsmarted! Your last line is not clear! |

^^^ I understand your premise. And I'm aware of what Barca is capable of. Now try and understand mine. You are making it sound like, whenever Barca looses or results don't go their way, its because they are not on top of their game, like it's voluntary. This is not true, Barca can be on top of their game and still won't be able to or allowed to do what they can do. Let me put it this way, Barca can be outworldly on a matchday, and yet tamed! Or has this not happened over the years? Has every game Barca lost been lost because they are not on top of their game? Whether the mojo is their or not, on their day or not, best men available or not, Barca can be outwitted! Apart from Spain, and to a lesser extent the tiki-taka wannabes in Turin, I don't know of any other team that slavishly employs tiki-taka or false nine o. Educate me. Every team have their styles that works for them. And also, for example, Barca's/Spain's tiki-taka is boring to some(including me), while they find Bayern's/Italy's at EURO 2012/Juve's passing game with it's dynamics and tweaks exciting. I make bold to say tiki-taka as we have it in this era started with Luis Arragones' Spain at EURO 2008. You can make a case for Barca taking it to outwordly levels subsequently. Wetin me sabi be say, Barca didn't bring back tiki-taka to our consciousness this era! |

Johnpaul88: No team in the world can match Barca when they are on top of their game - and Madrid knows that. I don't understand what you mean by that Sire. You make it sound like Barca can voluntarily decide to be "on top of their game" and also decide not to be "on top of their game". Can you not be knocked of your perch and/or your game's pedestal and forced not to be "on top of your game" by some teams |

Will Bayern Rid Their Chelsea Demons Against Juventus, Or Will It Be Germany VS Italy At Euro 2012 Again?
https://u.goal.com/187100/187182hp2.jpg
The Bavarian giants are among the favourites to win the Champions League, but they have a huge psychological hurdle to overcome against the Bianconeri in the quarter-finals.
There is something strange about the final tie drawn from the pot in any football draw. Whereas the earlier match-ups are met with either a sigh, a murmur, a gasp or a giggle, the exact make-up of the last fixture seems to take some time to set in with the assembled dignitaries as they work out which two teams remain undrawn.
Friday's Champions League quarter-final draw here in Nyon had a very different feel, though. The very second Barcelona were drawn out, it took those present all of a millisecond to realise that, while Paris Saint-Germain had been handed the toughest draw of all, what was left was the most fascinating contest of all.
The clash between Bayern Munich and Juventus is truly one that will represent a modern rivalry of epic proportions. While FC Hollywood stand for the burgeoning force that is the Bundesliga, they are also a reminder of the German failures of recent times. Beaten finalists after underwhelming performances in both 2010 and 2012, their squad contains a handful of players who have also made a habit out of promising much and delivering little with the German national side.
On the other side of the fence are Juve, a club whose embarrassing 4-1home defeat to Bayern in 2009 was a sign of where the club was at the time. Pavel Nedved sat in the stands that night with his head in his hands, his eyes fighting back tears. On Friday, the Czech was amongstthe Juve delegation which met the news of their Bayern re-match with the confidence that this is a very different Bianconeri beast to the one dumped so unceremoniously out of Europe by Die Roten three seasons ago.
https://u.goal.com/194500/194578hp2.jpg Better luck next time? | Lahm has suffered on the big stage regularly.
And there is plenty of reason for the former Juve winger to believe, given the fascinating link between the club and Italy's national side over the years too. The current incarnation of Antonio Conte's club is just thelatest to have their successes reflected by those of the Italian national side. As the Azzurri have risen from the ashes of their 2010 World Cup disaster, so too has the Old Lady recovered from her state of ill health just a couple of short years ago.
Never was this better exemplified than last summer, when Juve's Scudetto triumph was followed up by an unlikely run to the final of Euro 2012 for Cesare Prandelli's Italy side, which just so happened to be heavily-laden with Juve players. And it was in their semi-final victory over Germany that they showed the greatest signs of just how good they can be.
That result also crowned a hugely dissatisfying period for die Nationalmannschaft 's Bayern contingent who had been tipped to toppleSpain in the final. Just weeks earlier, those same players had suffered the heartache of a defeat in the Champions League final to Chelsea. They were overwhelming favourites, they were on their home turf, they were meant to be reaching the crescendo they'd threatened for so long, and yet they fell short yet again. It was like Germany's 2006 World Cup campaign all over again, when Italy snatched a win with two goals late in extra-time in the Dortmund semi-final.
A Bayern side that has combined wonderful attacking football with clever pressing, the intelligent use of pace and real heart still has very little to show for it, while Juventus have quickly returned to the top of Italy's tree. Juve have what Bayern want: that ability to grind teams down when it really matters. The Bianconeri may not have shown it for a while, but there's no denying it's in their DNA. Bayern have been playing well for a long time, but come the big night they have always found themselves wanting.
However, psychology works in two ways. You either just can't win (like Spain prior to 2008) or you just can't lose (like Spain ever since). Bayern have so much in place, and all they appear to be missing is their threshold moment; that result which proves both to themselves and to the wider world that they can rise to the big occasion. Yet Juve have that Italian knack of standing tall at the most important moments, offering Bayern one of the toughest tests they could have been given in the last eight.
The two clashes will provide a fascinating insight into the psyche of Bayern Munich, and may give the clearest indication yet as to whether die Roten are finally ready to shake off their nearly-men tag. This will be the last eight's most enlightening fixture by some distance. http://www.goal.com/en/news/1717/editorial/2013/03/16/3827573/will-bayern-rid-their-chelsea-demons-against-juventus-or-will-it-?ICID=HP_TS_19 |
