debosky: In my opinion and by virtue of the titles he has won, Yes.Your myopic opinion doesn't count for owt on these pages! You once opined RB would shore up the leaky Chelsea defence. You categorically stated RB would deliver in the Cups! None of those have happened! Your man crush on RB is disgusting! No one is questioning what RDM achieved last season - it was impressive. However, will you compare their records and make an objective assessment of who is better? Then which part of your boil ridden mouth was pyalising tosh, when you were busy rubbishing this which you just stated ![]() |
nateevs: I am not supporting Benitez, I am just asking this based on your logic.Point is RdM has proven his mettle! Let no Debosky and other ninnies of his ilk come here to spew megede-fegede saying RdM is an unknown quantity! |
According to Debosky ever the kook, Arrigo Sacchi is a nobody in the pantheon of managers, because all his exploits were with Milan! ![]() |
debosky: Una don dey misyarn again - who the fcukk is RDM in the pantheon of managers?? Let RDM go and win two La Liga titles with a lesser side like Valencia when Barca and Real are the big spenders. Let RDM move to a new league and win the UCL without playing 10-0-1 formations. If he can do any of those things without one of the most expensive squads ever in the history of the game then you can compare him to Rafa. You be abirun! According to the warped analogy of this tool, until you have won every available trophy in every country, you are an unknown quantity in football management. Then such legends as SAF, Arsene Wenger, Guardiola et al are nonentities then , since their successes have been with single clubs! RDM has proven his mettle, the 16th minute of every match at Stamford Bridge is testament to this! Cvnty Rafa is NOT better that RDM #Fact ![]() |

Ibime: I couldn't care less if Fegor Ogude or any of those nonentities were playing like headless chickens in 94th minute. None of those animals play for my club.Perhaps you forgot they had numerical advantage ![]() |
Ibime: No it's ikechukwu uches fault.Your witch-hunting/faulting-finding knows no bounds! You must shar crucify Mikel for whatever. ![]() Mikel is even to blame for Keshi not pulling a Mourinho-esque knee sliding on the turf to celebrate Nigeria's goal ![]() |
There is no arguing that fact! Stats Updated: 592 Appearances; 195 Goals; and 130 Assists |
chic2pimp: Isn't it about time Lampard handed over the penalty taking duties to Torres? Why If it's because of Frankie's advanced years, forget it! Francesco Totti is 36 and he still takes every spot kick for The Giallorossi.... ![]() |

dayokanu: Anyone who knows about European football would know Lazio reached their peak under Cragnotti winning Winners cup, Super cup and Serie A between 1998 and 2001So had Cragnotti not self imploded, Lazio would still hold sway over Italian and European football eh ![]() Liverpool's demise from the top of English football must have been caused by financial meltdown then, Hillsborough-Gate perhaps ? ![]() Lyon's inability to recapture the Ligue 1 since their stangle-hold was broken boils down to their Arabian sugar daddy bolting! Aye o lo titi Oga.... Nobody go reign forever! Benfica's inability to cut it among the Elite in Europe as they once did definitely has nada to do with their finances! Even the insane duopoly in Scotland has been broken up not to be seen for at least another 5 years! Everyone here knows that your question to me was to provide teams with homegrown first teamers. If I so wish I can list Prime FC of Osogbo or even Ijesa Warriors Besides I got here through the front page. ![]() |
So we are now talking about the calibre of teams abi ![]() I thought I was supposed to produce TEAMS with a number of club bred first teamers ? ![]() With all your braggado about the number of 'home grown talent' in the team you support, I'm ready to bet with my left nut that 'home grown talent' was never part of the indices used to arrive at the list you have up there. You still haven't answered if Lazio 'died' as a result of Cragnotti's palava, or was Portsmouth's financial crises caused cos "they took the money away" or gross mismanagement ? |
Kilo n shey yin nah ? ![]() Numerous teams easily beat this your benchmark of six! Ajax, Borussia Dortmund, Al Ahly, Santos, and a host of others have numerous first teamers who are either %100 homegrown, or rose through the ranks! ![]() |
Our definition obeys the UEFA definition so you can form your own UEFA and decide what homegrown means therein
UEFA is not renowned to be an authority in the field of language/linguistics/vocabulary/grammar. So fûck UEFA and their horrible definitions! |
dayokanu: So tell us how many clubs in Europe that have more than 6 players in their first 11 who rose through the ranksOshey ![]() There are a lot of them! dayokanu: Obviously na football newbie you beIt's easy for you to find all the horrible examples to butress your point. You still haven't tackled my Malaga example too. They are flying high when they should be in turmoil as you lot would have us believe ![]() Lazio didn't 'die' after Cragnotti's palava, and Portsmouth is a clear case of gross mismanagement! |
Have u asked ursef what will be the FUTURE of chelsea, psg, citi, etc when their owners die?
You must be equating the workings of these football clubs to the workings of a bread bakery for you to think the club dies with the owner à la bakery when Alhaji dies! Malaga is a clear example to the doomsday prophets. They are still flying high even after the 'death' of their benefator! |
lol at y'all going bonkers on the simplest of tasks! ![]() Define home grown and put these players in the bracket and let's see how perfectly they fit in! So far the club claiming to have 'grown you at home' (pardon my diction ) isn't where you started out to be a footballer, you are not home grown! I don't care if the club struck the deal to sign you up with Iya Agbebi or you were older than Pope Benedict XVI before you came on board. Your history on a particular endeavour (in this case football) must be %100 rooted to a particular place for you to be homegrown in relation to such a place. Anything otherwise, you simply rose through the ranks! |
dayokanu: In Bayerns starting 11.I think the phrase home grown is too loosely and lazily thrown around in footballing parlance these days. Of all the players you listed here, none of them fits the adjective 'home grown' in the true sense of it (I stand to be corrected!) I think rose through the ranks describes this lot better, no ![]() Football today is about the big clubs with the big bucks. Everybody operates the same cycle! You spot a gem or potential gem, you snap them up. Simples. Clubs like Bayern do theirs early, while clubs like Chelsea do theirs late. Except you show me a club with 6 players in their starting 11 as you postulated that were taken in when they were as young as 4,5,6,7,8 and whatever years old, or their footballing career began with, including youth career is with the said club. Only such have legitimate claims to having 'home grown talent'. |
Guardiola joins FC Hollywood, and all of a sudden the Bundesliga is the best league the world over! Some nimrods are even claiming they've been watching the Bundesliga since the days Gerd Muller! ![]() |
