Politics › Re: Fashola Is Not Qualified To Be A Presidential Candidate by nitrogen(m): 10:17pm On Dec 30, 2012
solomon111: ACN propaganda in full-force.
Na2day?
Abegi.
How dare you compare fashola with oshiomhole?
Oshiobaba that has been dealing with political strongmen since his days at NLC and even now in edo state.
Is it fashola that is been bullied about by Tinubu in lagos state, that is an expert in governance?
Guy abeg go hug transformer.
Comparing fashola and oshiobaba in governance in Nigeria is sacriledge.
Fashola is no fit to loose oshiobaba's shoe-strings.
kennytidistar: Perhaps you are waking up to reality as regards your recommendation, but the man(oshiomhole) is still a rookie (as someone earlier pointed out) and freshie in politics.

you are wrong here, oshomole is smarter than fashola, no be noise, come to think of it, oshomole understand nigeria political terain even more than your so called fashola. Considering the political cv of oshiomole, he has always dine with the federal govt as a labour leader where is fashola then? Some of you children on nairaland amuses me sometime, do you know ACN would have lost in edo if not for oshomole? You may not know the underground work oshiomole did to retain his position but dont even compare fashola with oshiomole the gap is there. Fashola is only priviledge to be a governor of a ready made state by the federal govt that it.
You sure, Oshi that betrayed workers back in the days, quite a decietful and tactical man, that will still go back and collect money from them smart politicians (is that the meaning of smartness to you?).

See! people voted for ACN and not Oshie, may I tell you this, it was the first term of fashola in lagos state that paved way for ACN in many states in the SW, during campaigns in 2011, reference was made to Mr fashola's achievements during his first term.

Forget, the guy is a rookie in good politics,I still maintain that, btw, we have different types of politics.
Politics › Re: Fashola Is Not Qualified To Be A Presidential Candidate by nitrogen(m): 9:32pm On Dec 30, 2012
Seun: If I'm a PDP agent, why did I vote for ACN in the governorship elections even though I didn't even know the candidate? And why am I recommending Oshiomhole as the better candidate? When did Oshiomhole join PDP?
Simply because, you had no choice and your vote wouldn't even make any difference.

Perhaps you are waking up to reality as regards your recommendation, but the man(oshiomhole) is still a rookie (as someone earlier pointed out) and freshie in politics.

Fine, fashola is a tough man, but that is needed to make this country great, we need an action man and not a dullard, that can not only form policies but implement them for the betterment of lives in Nigeria.
Politics › Re: Fashola Is Not Qualified To Be A Presidential Candidate by nitrogen(m): 8:53pm On Dec 30, 2012
Seun: Shouldnt helping the poor (as opposed to oppressing and tormenting them) be a important component of any plan to make Nigeria better? How can we claim that Nigeria is getting better if things are actually getting worse for the poor among us? Don't the masses matter anymore?
Everyone knows that you are a PDP agent, your type will never be frank and realistic for once.
Politics › Re: Fashola Is Not Qualified To Be A Presidential Candidate by nitrogen(m): 8:48pm On Dec 30, 2012
Firefire: :oAll politicians in the current Nigeria democracy are the same. (They are all been circulated from PDP to ACHen.
Fasola is a strategist who use his 1st term in office to sell himself to average Lagosians, knowing fully well of the aqgreement between him and his godfather Tinubu for a single term. (Fasola work like mad).
Tinubu and ACHen has no any option that to allow the dude go for 2nd term if they want to retain Lagos in ACHen.
However, after FASOLA won the second term ticket; PLEASE WHAT HAS HE DONE?
Fasola has done nothing I mean nothing compare to the NOISE in his 1st term
All the 1st term project has FAILED.
No good road in Lagos.
Infact we are wating for the useless ACHen canditates in my area (Dont ask me where). We are going to stone them if possible to death.
Useless elements. promising neccessity to life but never deliver anything.
Time will tell for the people stealing Nigerians money. NIGERIANS are wiser now that before no bojuboju politicians again.
Fasola your days in ALAUSA are numberED, you used to be my hero but you have failed to performed in your SECOND TICKET WHY.
FASOLA FOR PRESIDENT? GOD FORBIDE. He will be worst than the present SUGOMU.
Look at another clown, if you aint okay with it, and you are not from this part of Nigeria, please pack your load and go to your 1000 times better village, and if you are from this part, then you have shamed me.

Ungrateful being!

aguiyi: u are dancing round in circles my friend. what you posted up there is not an answer but a question.bro, i have seen firecrackers in display outside this country.

i expected fashola to advocate the manufacture and use of less harmful ones.

would fashola say he has never used a firecracker or would you nitrogen or oxygen say you have never
From those words jinxed together you call a post, it is quite clear that you are one of the biggest illegal importer of fire-crackers into the country, see! If policies are made as regards this, it will definitely not favour you, and if its importation is completely stopped, still the same.

What baffles me is that, you people like businesses that are illegal and harmful to the society, you even rejoice when policies or laws aint made.

Let me tell you this, if you don't know 'doing business at the expense of the safety and security of lives is nothing but wickedness and brutality to humankind'. Don't worry, it will catch-up with you someday.

BTW, you haven't answered my questions up there.

Politics › Re: Okonjo-Iweala & Sanusi Disagree On National Debt Policy by nitrogen(m): 10:42am On Dec 29, 2012
Hello, debt is good, but a situation where these monies are used for recurrent expenditure is bad, when over 50% of the budget is for payment of salaries of those that just go to work everyday doing intangible stuffs, or where a house with more than the required members in it, and these can only say 'nay' and at the end of the month, they cart away over 25% of the total budget. That is the problem, we need infrastructures with those debts acquired, at least, 65% should support capital expenditures because that will invariably aid development.

I think that is what is giving SLS headache, but most will always come here and spew rubbish. They love criticisms, castigations and what have we. As for me, both should sit down and get things right in order to move the country forward.

God bless Nigeria.
I never called any one urchin, I just said "it seems" that's because of the way you guys communicate!
Also, Urchin is not a vulgar word (like fool, idiot, retard, and so on), here's the meaning: "a mischievous roguish child, esp one who is young, small, or raggedly dressed".

I don't have problem with your opinion, but if you will go through many political threads, and read through most anti-GEJ/PDP supporters' comments, you will understand my thought.

PS: PDP supporters are not exonerated but its mostly the ACN supporters that behave this way. Its a trend that has almost made me stop visiting Nairaland!
You are really high on something sir with those vulgar words that you have been using, airing one's view about something is now wrong and calls for shitties like those up there?

I can only say that whether he is becoming an authoritarian or not, he is doing what is required of him, leave him and let him be, stop criticising, if he is blocking your chop chop things, please go to another state, but have it at the back of your mind that it is the north or the south-east and don't even think about staying in the SW.

I crave your indulgence for not pointing out the need for authoritarians to move this country forward, all you people want is dullards and thieves, right? Permit me to tell you this, if we continue to crave for the adoption of the type of democracy outside the shores of Nigeria, we are thinking southy, until we are developed, we should not even think about it.

Fact: Authoritarians are needed to rule this country for now especially with the high level of corruption, insecurity, under-development, and what have we.

Deal with it.

take dat: Aturu is a rabble rouser, what has Fashola's complaint on buildings in Lagos Island not carefully planned and its congestion got to do with Aturu's lamentation on fire crackers? If buildings in Lagos Island had followed the normal town planning laws, some houses would have been saved during the explosion and if govt decides to embark on a demolition exercise it is the same activists that will complain that the government does not favour the masses. Fashola has no powers to ban fireworks, he has no control over our borders and ports.

toptop: I work with a Pension Fund Administrator, as a business development officer. Purely into marketing. I am not in any way satisfied. I decided to go for ICAN because economics is not that professional. I felt that with ICAN, i could eventually establish my own firm and be self employed when things go too hard on me (based on the uncertainty in nigerian financial sector). But my desire now is how to optimise both qualifications, bearing in mind that my present job cannot afford me such opportunity. Please i need candid advice.
Why the bolded? No choice or what?

Seriously, nothing wrong with this, that is their belief and they quite respect it, only that I just always ask this, 'how convenient are they in those?'
Politics › Re: Aturu Slams Fashola On Lagos Fire Comment by nitrogen(m): 9:34pm On Dec 28, 2012
baba pupa: Sadly, Okada killed more lagosians than fire tragedies, but the same people talking rubbish now are still fighting the state government for creating and enforcing laws to save their lives. They say he's anti people, they say he ie elitist, they say he care less about the messes.

Imagine if without this tragedy the state took action against these busineses and even shut them down, its still going to be the same noise and criticism by the same lawless people...

You don't want to die or suffer tragedy, but you still don't want to be regulated, you still don't want to obey the law. Everybody is dying to have it both ways.

Fashola and many well meaning nigerian leaders must know that their primary duty as chief law enforcement officers of their stares is protection of life and property and they must do what's best for the society no matter the noise and criticism. Do your job and let the chips fall wherever.
My brother, thank you, you are really on point here, when you try to prevent, they complain, when you do not, they castigate, that is the norm, so all fashola has been doing is to ignore them critics' comments and idiotic insinuations and do what is required of him.

Ride on Mr Fashola, others have been and are still looking up to you.

mafiacent: negativity > Positivity in Nigeria
The President of Nigeria (A very Religious Country) attends a big religious event, willingly knelt down on the alter of God and his people prayed for him.

My opinion = No wahala

General Opinion = Blah Blah Blah

My point: (Religious) - No man is bigger than God (If he admits there is one).

(Political) - Men like Pastor Adeboye can't be ignored, why? What is the population of R.C.C.G. Also, you may not realize it but people like this have significant roles to play in preventing a Religious War in Nigeria.

Conclusion: Jonathan is human, what you make of the situation is simply your perception. not Right and yet not wrong.
What is this? Please next time, be coherent.
