Very funny, I had this discussed with someone this morning, seriously, millions are made weekly by these churches, don't you think they need to taxed? #JustAskingThough# |
PetroDolla: nigerian music gets fairly good airtime in Ghana, but to characterise it as RULING Ghana is downright pathetic! So, you are through with ya rantings? ![]() |
PetroDolla: Lots of dumb and fuelish comments, as usual……............Omo ghana |
eminemkayc: psquare sings crap musikBad belle!! |
wesley80: ^ it sure does. wish you'd touched more on the local prospects though. Do you think it wld be a waste within Ngr? and how do you think CISA compares with CFA?And what makes you think you can compare both? they are different entities, the only thing that binds them is 'both are professional courses'. Sefini. |
iamSi: i Believe nigerian pastors would think otherwise_ this section is still OKu got me cracked up with this. |
Jarus: it can be as low as 60k per month, entry level accountant in a small entity to 5m per month, GCFO in n IOC. and both are chartered accountants. So your question get as he be.Is that possible? |
AjanleKoko: Source: http://www.businessdayonline.com/NG/index.php/news/76-hot-topic/48248-shanduka-mtn-deal-highlights-sa-scramble-for-solace-in-nigeria-marketThe truth is Shanduka should not have come near MTN, anyway, it is just 3%, but we should not be surprised, when it moves at a geometric rate to a considerable percent, then those worries and perhaps, problems will surface. |

Jarus: These apostles of self-employment are here again, with their business of demonizing salaried job. Well, good for you, but spare us those fictions you bandy around. We are happy as paid workers, 'serving' other people. Only that these self-employed friends have not allowed one to rest, always asking for money from those of us that are servants.Bros, you got that from my mind? Seriously, i keep fighting with my 'motivated friends' on this, i try to make them understand, but they are still on a long thing. They have forgotten that most of these authors started from somewhere (paid jobs), while only one in a million made it right-away at the onset. Sincerely, if i am to start a business with a fund of 500k or a job that puts 150k or even 100k in my purse at the end of the month, i'll opt for the latter. |
^^^^^^ i dey wait you ooo |
.............this IFRS thing, anyway, if any has got something on this IFRS thing, kindly forward it to me, i need it for my exams. Thanks. |
Welcome to Nigeria! My advice to you, keep applying for jobs and don't turn a blind eye on a Masters degree abroad in fact aim for schorlarhip, partial or full from a good school. When you are done with your masters, they won't look down on you anymore. As for which is better state or federal, you definitely won't win those folks just trying to make themselves happy.
True talk. @op, it is about you proving to them that you can, and that you are even better that most of them. |
Hardly can i forget those stories that we were told by our teachers in bible study sessions when i was young, one that just came into my mind is the story of how Jesus Christ went to visit Lazarus, the man he woke up (after he was dead for four days), by the way, Lazarus had two sisters, Mary and Martha. When he(Christ) got there, he sat presumably in their parlour teaching, now, both of Lazarus sisters were in the house, but not in the same place, while one was at the master’s feet listening to his teachings and eating the spiritual food, the other was busy preparing the earthly food. Maybe, out of fustration, Martha came to tell the master (Christ) of her supposed Mary’s negligence, but the master simply rebuffed her claims and told her that Mary was doing the right thing by hearing the word first before any other thing. It was therefore obvious that Martha simply misplaced priorities and did the wrong thing at the one chance and time available. Nowadays, we all do things in a Martha-ish way, there are cases where we neglect the things that are necessary and we do the things that are not necessary. A situation where an undergraduate neglects the main reason why he/she is in school and all he would want to do is to party, drink and dance around with his friends is strange and Martha-ish. When a leader, whose part of his main responsibilities is to ensure the safety and security of his subordinates and subjects, but he is found attending summits and seminars where he is just an observer, while the security of his subjects has been breached, it is absurd and Martha-ish in nature. A Shepard that is expected to feed his sheep accordingly but neglects that and instead exploit the obedience and loyalty of the sheep by riding on their backs, it is un-called for and as well as martha-ish. Many times we simply leave the main reasons why we were given chances and we’re side attracted to the non-necessities, it is absurd, such opportunities might just not come again. We should not misplace priorities. Please do the right thing at the right and required time. |
Hello folks! This is an old thread, but I still find it interesting enough to want to share my own experience. In all my years of work experience, I had never been as frustrated as I was on Wednesday, the last working day of this week. The previous day, our main generator which was just serviced the previous weekend blew, we contacted the vendor and the unit in charge, then, fixed the backup generator which is smaller and continued our work. Even though it was tripping off and on, we were able to conclude our transactions for the day. Then came Wednesday! Before 6 am, I had been notified that three of my tellers who were pregnant had been hospitalized, two for threatened miscarriages! On my way to the office, I got a call, another of my tellers, rushing her baby who had a domestic accident to the hospital, a FMC, and of course, that’s a whole day’s business! Already, one of my tellers was on vacation, the person I back up who also backs me up was on vacation and one other teller already had my permission to be absent due to a personal emergency. I was down by seven staff and by the time we opened our doors by 8am, I had just one paying teller and one receiving teller. My branch is the busiest branch in the state due to location, therefore, crowd is standard, even with full complement of staff, so you can imagine the kind of crowd we had on this day, in view of the long holidays. We were managing nicely, even though customers were harassing us, because they are not used to that kind of arrangement. Then! Around 12.30 am, my problems began. First, the small generator which we were using tripped off. no PHCN light, no generator! We quickly got the local vendor, he came fixed the generator, the moment we put it on, all the bulbs in the branch blew! Our UPS, photocopying machines, printers and four ACs blew! You need to have seen customers’ reactions and yet, they refused to go to our sister branches. Some even called head office customer care; trust them to go ballistic on customer disservice! We got bulbs immediately and when phcn gave light, we plugged direct and continued but the light kept going at 2 minutes intervals. As that was not enough, I got low cash level alerts from three of my ATMs almost at the same time. And these were ATMs I loaded the previous day and I didn’t even have mint notes or sorted cash to load them, I no even answer them! I had unimaginable pressures from left, right and centre. All sorts of calls from top management, and my supervisors and oh! God! Customers nearly killed me. I was mandated to go and hire a generator; I did, but guess what? The moment we changed over to the hired generator, and put on our systems, the four systems in use blew up! That was the climax. I got my team to balance manually, and we all went home terribly disgruntled. It was later in the night that I realized I hadn’t even taken as little as a drop of water all day. All I’ve done these holidays and weekend so far is visit my ailing staff and work with all sorts of people to fix up my branch, sort cash and load my ATMs. What a way to spend such a long weekend!
, that day was really tight for you oooooo. |
see film show for here o!! ![]() @naijababe, lol at the "go and sin no more" thing. |

Very 'kerezi' thread! bluediva, please carry go jare, you know what, our main problem in naija is that we always want sympathy , am not surprised sha, because most are victims of tradition and circumstances. Please better their lives by scolding them the more, or betterstill make them worst by sympathizing with them, but i can bet it that you prefer the former. @sir AJ, lol at the 'scapegoat' thingy. |

spicy v: San/Chlor isn't exactly a strange combo, quite extreme though. Being a San/Chlor, you'd be very extrovertish and restless. Very active infact your loved ones would often want to lock you up in a cage. You will also be the centre θf attention whilst commanding respect. You are a natural leader as leadership is all about influence. The sanguine is natural at influencing people, he attracts people like magnet because θf his friendly and charming disposition. The choleric is also very great at influencing because he is visionary, a starter and great at motivating and pushing people to accomplish things. You'd also be loud and self absorbed lol. You'd be very blunt, often hurting peoples feelings with your quick tongue but quick to be full θf remorse. You like to have your way and would resort to persuasion and manipulation to get your way. You hate details, have issues with impatience and anger.Hmmmmm! You got a lot of me up there. I will try and do what is required of me soon. |
