I strongly sense Benue State is about to get Redemption. The man of integrity will definitely do the Job. I now remember the late Rev Father Moses Orshio Adasu. REV FR MOSES ORSHIO ADASU: A RESOUNDING SUCCESS STORY Rev Fr Moses Adasu's tenure in office as Governor lasted less than two years owing to the fact that the third republic was aborted by Gen Sani Abacha who seized power in November 1993. That notwithstanding, in the short time he spent as Governor,Rev Fr Adasu remarkably and amazingly achieved so much. His outstanding achievements and enduring legacies are unprecedented and till date have not been matched by any Governor in the state after him. Below are some of the projects that Rev Fr Moses Adasu conceived, initiated and executed partly or in some cases fully within six months of his tenure; 1. Benue State University (BSU). 2. College of Education,Oju. 3. Benue Furniture Factory (land secured)). 4. New Benue Printing and Publishing Company. 5. Permanent site,College of Education, Katsina Ala (work had started). 6. A new Cement Company in Mbatiav (discussions had begun with Pakistani and other technical partners, work was scheduled to commence soon before his government was prematurely terminated). 7. A Pharmaceutical Company (to be part of Medical Centre at Apir). 8. Yam flour plant. 9. Makurdi Beach and Wonderland (work had started). 10. A Ceramics Company. 11. Alpha Plastics Company (part payment already paid to technical partners). 12. Benue Tourism Board. 13. Agricultural Development Company. 14. Directorate for New Industries (draft bill was ready) 15. A comprehensive water scheme 16. A Professionally Oriented University (Prof Ibu of UniJos donated computers, equipment, etc worth N10 Million) 17. A Paint/Polish Company (discussion were at an advanced stage with technical partners) 18. Domestic/Industrial Starch Company. (discussions started with technical partners) 19. Piggery. 20. Concrete Products Company (BENCO Roof Tiles) -work had started. 21. Glue and Garri Factory Complex 22. General Hospitals for each LGA. 23. Tarred roads linking Local Government headquarters. 24. Youth/Wonem Cultural Centre for all LGAs 25. An International Games Village (work had already commenced on an Olympic sized swimming pool) 26. Centre for Development of Traditional Medicine. 27. BENTHA(Tractor Hiring Agency) to become a limited liability company. 28. A new fertilizer distibution approach. 29. Owner-Occupier Houses for workers. 30. Buruku Model Plantation. 31. A Fruit Juice Factory at Katsina Ala (land acquired). 32. Medical Centre, Apir. (work commenced). 33. JS Tarka Foundation. 34. BNARDA, DFFRI, Rural Division of Ministries of Agriculture,Works to be activated and fully equipped to further open up rural roads. 35. Construction of 30Km of township roads for Makurdi and 20Km of township roads for Gboko and Oturkpo towns. 36. Affordable Labour Tranport Service for Makurdi, Gboko and Oturkpo towns and assistance to LGAs to establish same. 37. 330 KVA National Grid (through Rev Fr Adasu's efforts, contract eventually awarded by the Federal Government). These were projects and programs within barely a year in office. Other laudable policies initiated or implemented by him include; a new government- labour policy, a new approach to basic science education and a new media relations policy. Also appointments were made to reflect state character and to assuage historically neglected areas. For example, for the first time directors-general were appointed from Njiriv, Taraku and Etulo. Also a commissioner was appointed from Turan in Kwande. Father Adasu implemented people oriented policies and projects that impacted positively on all spheres of the state. He also reopened the College of Education Oju to heal the wounds of its closure in 1984. Copied. cc: Omenka and co. These are the kind of Aspirants you should support for the redemption of your state and not the usual corrupt Politicians who have sold your future and that of your generation. |

Woman throws stepdaughters into well in Nasarawa https://thenationonlineng.net/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/nasarawa-300x225.jpg The Police Command in Nasarawa State has arrested a 20-year-old Housewife, Aisha Isah, for allegedly throwing into a well her two stepdaughters, Zainab 4, and Baaba 2, over disagreement with her Co-wife. The Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the command, DSP Kennedy Idirisu, said this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Thursday in Lafia, Nasarawa. Idirisu said that the suspect was arrested from Yelwan-Bassa village in Kokona Local Government Area following a report of the incident. He said the suspect had confessed to the crime and expressed remorse over her action. He said investigation revealed that Aisha, who is the second wife of Alhaji Isah, was always at loggerhead with the first wife, Maimuna, and that all efforts by their husband to settle their differences were unsuccessful. The PPRO said Aisha claimed that the first wife was always instigating her children not to run errands for her, a development that infuriated her since she had no child of her own. That she had given birth to a baby girl in 2016, but the baby died after six months. He said Aisha had thrown baby Baaba into the well in April but since no one saw her, the family believed the baby accidently fell into the well and died. On Aug. 26, the police spokesman said, Aisha raised alarm that another child, Zainab, had fallen into the well and the husband dashed into the well to rescue the baby. He said the husband brought out the baby dead with her hands tied, which drew suspicion from the family and villagers leading to the arrest of Aisha. According to him, Aisha later confessed to the crime and also accepted responsibility for the death of baby Baaba in April. He said the suspect would be prosecuted as soon as investigation into matter was concluded. http://thenationonlineng.net/woman-throws-stepdaughters-into-well-in-nasarawa/ |

Word For Today Having the right attitude 19 June 2017 ‘You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had.’ Philippians 2:5 NLT "Philippians 2:5 NLT"::http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Philippians 2:5 &version=NLT How many jobs do people lose every day because of poor attitudes? How many are passed over for promotion because of the way they approach their work and the people around them? How many marriages fall apart? It would be impossible to calculate. No one should ever lose a job, miss a promotion, or destroy a marriage because of a poor attitude. Why? Because a person’s attitude isn’t set; it’s a choice. Chuck Swindoll writes: ‘Attitude, to me, is more important than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It’s more important than appearance, giftedness, or skill. It will make or break a company…a church…a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we embrace for that day. We cannot change our past…we cannot change the fact that people act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude…I’m convinced that life is 10 per cent what happens to me and 90 per cent how I react to it. And so it is with you…We are in charge of our attitudes.’ Paul writes, ‘You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had.’ He always approached people with love, grace, acceptance, and a heart to serve rather than be served. So if your attitude hasn’t been as good as it could be, make this your starting point. Pray: ‘Father, give me a Christlike attitude towards everyone I meet.’ Bible in a Year: 1 Chron 25-27; Acts 19:1-22; "1 Chron 25-27; Acts 19:1-22; ":: #Copied# |

Below is the eyewitness account shared by a facebook user...... WOMAN DISCOVERED WITH PENIS IN MAKURDI! A commercial sex worker (Ashawo) was arrested in a night club (xima) for stealing a hand set from her colleague on Saturday. During the investigation, the proustite in question was identified as JENNIFER by her colleagues & neighbours. While conducting a search on her, the woman police officer raised alarm that the suspect (Jennifer) fake her breasts by using rags in a bra. On the arrival of her (police) male colleagues a long big banana (penis) was visibly in between her legs. CONFESSION! The Boy (JENIFER) said she was initiated when she was 14yrs. That she dresses like a girl and goes out for commercial sex business. That when a man sees her, he hardly pass without taking him home for hired sex. That people pay him any amount he charge for sex. That she invoke a female reproductive organ (Toto, ikyur, etc as u may call in your languages) when the man starts having feelings. She doesn't know how the "TOTO" come but a spirit controls the appearance & disappearance of the female organ. That any man that enjoyed her invoked female genital will not have a child again. Many guys confessed to have slept with her and try to argue that he is not a man but he confessed that he is under a spirit that control the act. Guys be careful of how you live your life. I was an eye witness. #Copied#

Victor Anichebe released by Sunderland https://mtnfootball.com/bp_images/2017/06/xn701dmnbd091p9r0fs748u0o.jpg Nigerian striker Victor Anichebe was one of 11 players released by English club Sunderland AFC on Friday. The Black Cats suffered relegation from the Premier League at the end of the 2016/17 season and have now let go of a host of players, including former South Africa captain Steven Pienaar. Anichebe made 18 league appearances for Sunderland last season, scoring three goals for the club in their doomed attempt to avoid dropping down to the second tier of English football. Anichebe has also represented Everton and West Bromwich Albion in his club career. https://mtnfootball.com/news/713313/Victor-Anichebe-released-by-Sunderland |
