You have little understanding about how things work in this country.
RECs position given to the Academic personnel's I don't think is constitutional and can be changed by same political office holders if they can't get what they want. So you will realize that to change this nation would require all hands to be on deck or a civil response. Understand the Nigerian factor before coming publicly to speak.
My point is simple, let the educational sector take it's rightful place along with health and security, then we will begin to see things fall in place with rule of law. Don't just speak because people are talking, understand the peculiarities involved before speaking. Thank you

Policy implementation has to do with political office holders and not academicians.
For a known fact, our budget allocation has never had education has a priority and never has it being well funded.
I speak from facts because I love education but not in the field.
You can't be praising the west when yours is ill managed.

It's 2.47 am here but I can't sleep, I hardly sleep these days.

My whole world is crumbling.
I have been a regular guest here for awhile now but had to register this morning, I need somewhere to pour out my heart, somewhere to dump my frustrations.

I came from a good, not so rich home but my parents were so hardworking.I had a good moral upbringing, went to tertiary institution and graduated with good grades.

While in school, I never had a boy friend though I had a lot of "chykers", never went clubbing, didn't socialize much.

Few months to the end of my NYSC, I met my husband. We got talking and boom, I fell in love with him. He is my ideal man....he doesn't drink nor smoke, gentle and soft spoken.

He wasn't earning much but it didn't bother me. I believe in working hard and growing with my man.

Now my regrets...
* The "angel" I married has refused to get a job after losing the last one during COVID 19.

He said he can never work in a private company again. His target is multinationals.

I encouraged him to pick up a job with private company while hoping for a bigger fish at least to support in taking care of the needs at home but he said no.

I'm left with taking care of our 3 kids, feeding, school fees and virtually every need at home. All he does is press phone, gamble and sleep.

Now our rent is due, no money.
I married as a virgin, married for love and not money, work my ass off, doing so many side hustle to shoulder the expenses at home. I'm tired. I regret all these.

When I see my "unserious" classmates on social media and sometimes offline, I weep. See them living large. I thought all the sacrifices I made way back will pay off now.
I have made up my mind that if he doesn't fix the rent, I will move back to my parent's house.

While I agree with part of your submissions, it is imperative to make a correction to one of your points.

The British never created Nigeria as a country.

The British created Nigeria as a business enterprise to be headed by an indigenous CEO/President while the British Royals kept the majority shareholding and control of the board.

If in doubt, ask yourself why is it that anyone who seeks to preside over Nigeria must first go to 10 Downing street to make their intentions known while also submitting their CVs for a possible interview and assurances secured from the applicants on how they intend to make the business enterprise more beneficial and profitable to them (the board of directors/majority shareholders)?.

To pass their interview and to be deemed as fit for the top job, of course, you will have to give them assurances of a prosperous Nigeria under your leadership.

However, it is pertinent to note that "A Prosperous Nigeria" in this context is hugely different for "Prosperous Nigerians".

While the former is what concerns and benefits them as the real owners of the business enterprise "Nigeria", the possibility of the latter goes against their dividends and hell no way you will be getting their support for the top job.

In conclusion:

If you set out to work for the prosperity and betterment of Nigerians, it would mean you starving the shareholders of their premium payouts. No serious business person dey put hand for that kind kalo kalo business.

I am legally married to this man and we have 3 sons together. Recently he purchased some land which he actually told me about but when I checked the documents of all the land I only saw Mr(his name in full) and not Mr & Mrs (his name and surname) or Mr (his name ) and Mrs (My name ). I disagree with you. The pump price increase is more than 200%. That's the reason they are requesting for such. It's logical and simple. We will adjust. It's a matter of time. Take a good look again at their manifesto in 2015 and measure what we were told.
