Non Yorubas kindly stay off the thread.

I know your intention is to get it deleted.

I think most Nigerians would feel shocked by the huge difference in environment when they go abroad.

You are? huh

The question is not for non Yoruba Nigerians please.

I can't be discussing with greedy and jealous people. undecided

And given your signature, it shows why this question is necessary.

So, Amotekun, what is the role of Yoruba women in your organization?

What you want to avoid is having it look like all you care about is the material gain involved and not your welfare.

This is the type of situation where a wife having her own resources applies. I don't think arguing and fighting over anything less than N700 million is worth it.

Just my opinion.

IT'S LIKE YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING. I KNEW WHAT TO EXPECT BEFORE LAUNCHING THIS THREAD.
ABLE BODIED ADULTS EVEN UP TO 50 YEARS OLD ALLOW THEIR PARENTS DECIDE FOR THEM.
IT'S ONLY IN NIGERIA THAT TWO PEOPLE WHO HAVE BEEN TOGETHER FOR UP TO 15 YEARS, WILL DECIDE NOT TO MARRY THEMSELVES, NOT BECAUSE OF ANY PERSONAL DIFFERENCES, BUT SIMPLY BECAUSE THE MAN'S MOTHER DOESN'T LIKE THE GIRL, OR THE GIRL'S PARENTS WON'T LET HER MARRY FROM OUTSIDE THEIR CHURCH.
YOU CAN NEVER CONVINCE THESE FOOLS THAT THEIR PARENTS ARE FALLIBLE BECAUSE THEY ALREADY SEE THEIR PARENTS AS SECOND IN COMMAND AFTER GOD.
THEIR PARENTS TELL THEM WHO TO MARRY, WHAT TO DO, WHERE TO GO, SOME EVEN WHAT TO WEAR. AND THESE ARE GROWN PEOPLE, MY MAN, IS IT NOT CRAZY?
Is something bothering you? huh

Especially considering this post of yours:

Someone who seems to be an Igbo lady is asking something about women's part there.

Is the outfit Yoruba men/non Yoruba women or could somebody let us know how it's supposed to be.
RomanceRe: Will You Marry A Guy Or Lady Against Your Parents Wish? by nlPoster: 4:38pm On Mar 03, 2020
Such things are based on a lot of factors:

Is it the culture where you come from, to marry someone your parents disapprove of

What reasons did your parents give

Why are you marrying someone your parents don't want you to marry

How involved are your parents with you and your decisions as an adult

Folks, phenotype means features, not clothes.

Do we have people's permission to refer to them as Nigerians only because they wore Nigerian clothes and no other reason?

I was only trying to let you know that the issue of “standardized uniform” was not aimed at aiding unity among the students like you said.

Of course there was never an incidence to back that up, even from the links you provided.
Modified.

The same also happens in other states , it's not only Osun state.

The first paragraph. Yea you're absolutely right. I remember i experienced some of those incidents too back then...

As for the 2nd paragraph, well that might be his motive for doing it but i still believe it really doesn't make sense.
Not sure what caused the issues at that time, but it was rather unusual.

There was also some opposition to the standard school uniforms but it was implemented anyway and I guess it did achieve the intended effect. I just hope the fights dont pick up where they left off.

Funke Egbemode is a commissioner?
I was surprised too but God should help her. After all, he put her there so she must be capable.

Her column is usually about sexually liberated women or philandering men.
