The serious hatreds displayed on nairaland by Nigerians towards other genders for example, I do wonder who should be blamed for it? huh

@ olu317

The first picture you posted on this page is similar to the one known as the gatekeeper.

What features are you emphasizing and comparing to the Olokun art?

The outfit as you can see, is similar to the dressing in the other art showing the rulers.

Most of the 2005/2006/2007/2008 members members are still here, many have other monikers.

They're watching over the forum I guess.

It would be nice if they wrote about their journey since their early days.

How much do you depend on nairaland or questionable strangers to guide you in your normal decision process?
Culture › Re: When Did Nigerians Start Travelling Overseas After The Founding Of Nigeria? by nlPoster:
That was the post war generation.

There were Nigerians travelling to North America before that, but for some reason they're very low key. One of them later became the Nigerian prime minister.

It's either their numbers were not very large (which I doubt but I could be wrong), or perhaps I should be asking if it was the other way round. The rather confusing thing is the main immigration that's well known is via Brazil (the returnees) and before the creation of Nigeria.
Christianity Etc › Re: The Great Tribulation Relative To The Time Of Rapture by nlPoster:
Seun:
There will not be a great tribulation (global persecution of Christians) anytime soon because Christianity is the most popular religion in the world. Christians are more likely to be persecutors than the persecuted today. Persecution happens to minorities and the powerless; Christians are numerous and powerful.

They all claim they are here to while away time and catch fun, but we all know they are here to meet their "Mr right" or "The one". They are hypocritical and it's OK.

No way, something tells me one of these ladies coming here wants me to discover her. she could be the one for me u knowgrin
Your lady or ladies should be in dating section cheesy

Romance is for women who define what romance is. Hence the romance novel genre is dominated by the female gender because men dont have time for all that long winded stuff.

nl males have taken over romance under the mistaken impression it has something to do with them. That's why they keep bringing sexuality topics here all the time, they confuse the two.
Culture › Re: Yoruba Hebrew Heritage by nlPoster: 5:55pm On Feb 05, 2020
The problem I'm having here is this careful distinction between who is Yoruba and who is not "properly " Yoruba.

Too subjective, explain better.

For those you say are Yoruba but not authentic, what are the parameters used for this conclusion?

BadRadio:
I am looking for my wifegrin
You can find her in dating and meet up section wink

Romance is general, besides it's supposed to be for females, they're the ones known for romance affiliation and even the literary world reflects this.

Can you as a man read a romance novel?

True that, I think.

Theydontcare:
With all the chest beating and quest to dominate one another, they are actually not indigenous people of Africa. The Bantus are more indigenous than all theses tribes. Why fighting. Let these tribes combine their effort and rewrite their history as a people. Consolidate and grow from there.
Every Nigerian tribe is now indigenous African.

Studied hard, gettin' my degree
But no one seemed to notice me

Painter man, painter man
Who wanna be a painter man
Painter man, painter man
Who wanna be a painter man
