Jobs/VacanciesRe: My MPI Interview Experience. I Need Your Analysis Pls! by nmreports: 6:40am On Aug 13, 2016
jaybee3:
Your answers weren't convincing especially on the issues of loyalty and ambition.
The interviewer should have asked you why you were willing to take a lower paying job compared to your current expected experienced staff salary.

You interest should have been along the line of:
Flexibilty that their program offers,
The fact that it's a structured training,
The fact that you believe the company invest and support learning and development of their staff,
Your ambition to work for the company whilst helping them to achieve their strategic goals (You could suggest their implementation of 4G network or whatever)

In any case, I personally wouldn't hire you if you are over qualified because it's almost certain you will only increase my staff turnover rate
You will agree with me that sometimes, what makes answers convincing during interviews is how you convey the message. The "how" matters most times and we can't determine that. We are only reading his texts.

However, why did you say he will increase turnover? You mean resign again?. Want to learn.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: My MPI Interview Experience. I Need Your Analysis Pls! by nmreports: 6:24am On Aug 13, 2016
Very simple.

1) You are too experienced.
2) That doesn't stop you from proceeding to the next stage.
3) Because you are experienced led to the last question about your preference.
4) Lastly, the only thing that might affect your selection is the preference you chose. That is if they do not want anyone for that department.

Good luck.

Jobs/VacanciesRe: How To Ensure HR Administrators Get Your CV During Applications by nmreports(op):
For example;

A typical requirement is

Three years experience on the job.
An engineering graduate.
Must be HSE qualified.
A 2:1 from a Nigerian university.
Should not be more than 21. Though absurd.

APPLICATION EXAMPLE.

Dear Hiring Manager,

My name is Olabisi Omoge and I am applying for the position of an assistant production manager in your organization.

This is a typical role for me because I have had the opportunity to work as a production assistant with the XYZ company for three years before I resigned to focus on my HSE certification.

I have a BSC in Mechanical engineering, a HSE certification from XYZ institute and a three years experience providing quality support for the production department in my former company.
During my time in this capacity, I was awarded the most innovative staff of the year because of my passion and creativity on the job.

I will welcome the opportunity to meet with you to further discuss my passion and how my values can be a great contribution to your organization.

Please find attached my CV.

Regards,
Olabisi Omoge
.

Does this cover all the requirements? No! But it does capture all except the age.
Age can then be fixed on the CV since it was a requirement.
If it wasn't, please no need for age on your CV.

Cheers guys.
Always here to help... AND LEARN.

Jobs/VacanciesHow To Ensure HR Administrators Get Your CV During Applications by nmreports(op):
FOUNDATION OF THIS POST:
You would agree with me that several times you have applied for a position you are certain you are qualified for yet wasn't shortlisted. Now put yourself in the HR personnel position for once.

You work as an HR Officer and you have just rolled out some new vacancies for your company in the newspapers, with the current unemployment state in Nigeria, how many applications do you think you would get? And how do you think you are able to drive through the thousands of CVs popping in every second.

SOLUTION FOR HR PERSONNELS:
There is an application that HR personnel uses to make this job somewhat easy.

It's called HR softwares.
This softwares seives CVs and discards useless ones such that the HR administrator would not even see them.
It can be developed in-house by a company's IT department and it can be subscribed too. Eg; Human Manager, People HR, I think SAP but not sure and many others.

HOW IT WORKS:
In very simple steps:

1) I enter key word commands in the software.
2) It is set up to reject CVs without those keywords.
3) It is set up to discard or store those CVs that don't meet up.
4) Then it's attached to the company's recruitment email.

Quite simple. Works like SEO for those who are aware of search engine optimization. Eg; When you search for something on Google, it brings our related articles, images or websites as per your command. Simple.

VICTIMS:
It is not surprising that majority of graduates make this mistake.

A) Those applying for a job that they are not qualified for. Why waste your time (Of course there are exceptions).
B) Those that are actually qualified but did not follow the basic instructions/ requirements stated in the application process.
C) Those qualified but have failed to follow the basic rule of SEO when applying for these jobs.

SOLUTION FOR THE VICTIMS:
Very simple steps.
NB: Most complex things in life usually have simple solutions.

1) When applying, the first step is to ensure that the subject of your email contains the open position.
2) Ensure that your applications state and mention the number of years as experience in the requirements.
3) If there was a mention of the class of degree, make sure it is in your application, in the body of your mail or contained in your CV.
4) If the requirement says Lagos residents only, make sure it is stated in your CV, a Lagos address.
5) Like in Nigeria, where they ask for a certain age grade, kindly mention your date of birth in the application or body of mail but not necessarily the CV.
6) More importantly, ask for someone to take a second look at your CV and application for you.
One of the ways to be error free at work for example is a law that encourages you to ask colleagues to take a second look.
7) Lastly, be smart about it. Doesn't necessarily mean you begin to lie because it becomes a shame and embarassment when this is discovered.
Doesn't also mean you make your applications to lack sincerity, simplicity, to convey passion and explain your interest.

DISCLAIMER:
This does not represent how all HR personnel or very respectable organization conduct their recruitment exercises so do not make this a law. Kindly stay smart and open.

Jobs/VacanciesRe: Fidelity Bank Sack 200 by nmreports: 4:30pm On Aug 11, 2016
What do we actually need the source for?.
To be honest, what difference does knowing the source make?.

Isn't it visible to the blind that the nation is in the mud... has always been in the mud. We should expect this kind of news.
Whether true or not, the reality is there staring at us in the face with a look that could scare cobras.

Nigeria is one of the most difficult countries in the world to do business. Well... I have no source.

Sad but stronger than ever to see it through these hard times.
WebmastersRe: Can I Make Money With This Blog by nmreports: 7:27am On Aug 10, 2016
One thing is clear about blogging.
It has to be for a clear-cut niche, well written and you must be passionate about it.

If not, like me, you will jump in and out of it.
Check the blog in my signature and let's see why people think I jumped out of it.

Learn from people's mistakes. Blog about something you are passionate for, be consistent with rich contents. Don't rush to write.

So yes you can make money from it you do the above though it may take a long time.
Bless.

Jobs/VacanciesRe: 9 Simple Steps To Win The Heart Of Your Potential Employer by nmreports: 7:28am On Aug 09, 2016
sixtus3606:
All you've written can be done only as from your first day of resumption.
Works during interviews too.
Employers want to know if you are a fit.
If you are passionate.
Showing humility means not being arrogant and feel like you know all. You have to be teachable.

Doing your job well during interviews has to do with getting your passion accross to them through your words. It's a mastery. Letting them know you are reliable and ready and that you would be the best fit.

What you will be as an employee begins from the interview. Make good use of the opportunity.

Yes I know.
I guess my message wasn't well cut accross.
But thanks.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: 9 Simple Steps To Win The Heart Of Your Potential Employer by nmreports:
How true is this?
For me there are only two ways to win your employers heart.
1) Do your job exceptionally. In other words, show how you are ready for the job. Talk about how passionate you are and how they can count on you.
2) Humble yourself around him/ her. I.e Don't be arrogant.

When you humble yourself yet do your job well (or show that you can do your job well) then it means you are not an ass kisser. You are just smart enough to know how office politics work.

it started in 2014, my thoughts was something else about God Almighty, I wasn't able to think straight again, imagine a thought like God been stupid and all that which I can't even type...the more I tried to convince myself the more the thoughts keep coming then. I prayed about it and I was also told to forsake my sinful ways....thank God it left me between 2014/ 2015 that even if I remember I do laugh over it like it's gone and never coming to occupy my mind again.
Now it's 2016, it's back, it's turning me to something else....hope am not having mental issue, I keep soliloquizing all because I want to rebuke the spirit. I don't like waking up in the midnight all because these thought will take control of my heart with severe headache as if I want to die. pls help me FAM, is it normal? is there anyone going through these? has anyone ever experienced these? what can i do to be free, its affecting my prayer life also. pls help
lalasticlala OAM4J can u move it to front-page pls

Note- Atheists pls don't comment
There is someone I know who can help. His name is Jesus.
Constantly plead the blood of Jesus over your mind.
Constantly rebuke the thoughts.
You won't believe how many people have evil thoughts too but you just have to cast it out.
Always quote Bible passages.

"WHATEVER THINGS ARE PURE, WHATEVER THINGS ARE TRUE, WHATEVER THINGS ARE LOVELY, IF THERE BE ANY VIRTUE, THINK ON THESE THINGS".

"GOD HAS NOT GIVEN YOU THE SPIRIT OF FEAR BUT OF LOVE, OF POWER AND OF A SOUND MIND"

Always quote and confess these Bible passages. It will all flee away from you. It's an attack some men of God have called Mind binding spirits. Bind those spirits.
Remember: "WHATSOEVER THINGS YOU BIND ON EARTH SHALL BE BOUND IN HEAVEN".

Gold loves you forever.

We can be friends okay.
