It's well. Satan is a liar.
I think, some of us, if not all, have areas where Satan holds down to buffed us after we get saved.
For me, it was cigarette smoking.
What made me very disturbed was that, I never smoked cigarette before. Not one stick, all my life. NEVER.
I can say, God shielded me from a lot of foolishness most teenagers engage in. Like I said before, God used dreams to draw me close to Himself at a very tender age of about 11 or 12. Then, not long after that, my mum got born again in deeper life. My father is a great, deep and strong Catholic. Imagine the conflict. We the Children were caught in the middle. Am very close to my mum, so I tilted towards her. I listened to all she read for me from the Bible. But I still followed my father to Catholic Church, until I went away to Uni. I never did anything wrong without knowing it was wrong, because my mum will open the Bible passage and hand it over to me to read.
I went to secondary school from home, so I was so innocent about a whole lot wen I got to school. I never knew a girl could buy cigarette, talk less of smoking it. I totally never knew anything about lesbianism until my third year in school. I lived in the midst of these young ladies, who were doing these things yet I wasn't seeing or deciphering what was going on, although they never did any in my presence. But the talk was all around me.

My friends attended All Girls School, so they came out ready, while I went to a mixed school, so I was very mumuish. I was kind of popular (if that's the right word to use) in school, because of my Circle of friend. "Big girls", I never knew they were into all these, they knew I was a 'JEW' (remember that term? ) when you refuse to conform. They avoided me in that aspect, until one day, I was confronted by one girl , accusing me of snatching her girl friend. I innocently asked her why we couldn't all be close friends? Her responds was, I don't share. I still didn't understand, I then went to complain to a more senior person from their twon about the treatment I was getting from this girl. The lady asked me what I expected? When I was naively asking all the stupid questions, she realised I didn't know Jack about anything, she busted out laughing, called others to laugh at my mumuishness. She was the one who told me what it all was. How this one is paired with that one, like a thunderbolt, everything exploded in my head. Everything i saw in the past, but didn't connect started fixing up like a puzzle.
My friends got to know that I now knew, and tried to initiate me, but it was too late. I was to old and had I guy Jare. The one who accused me before, tried to make me smoke, because they started smoking openly in my presence. I really wondered how they could hide the smoking from me for long. Even wen I walked into them smoking, it was still a mistake. So, now, they needed me to become a partner. I refused. They started making jest of me. One of their boy friends who they smoked together rebuked them and told me never to let anyone make me do what I didnt want. That encouraged me. I never joined them. So you can imagine, my pain and frustration to see myself smoking cigarette in my dreams steadily, when I got saved.
For years, it happened. The worst part was, anytime my prayer life is very strong, thats when it happens frequently. I will wake up in the morning angry and upset. I prayed and prayed, It kept on happening. I become afraid to pray.

Another thing was, I was seeing myself in the dream naked. This troubled me the most. Thank God, I never had sex in my dream. I don't eat, I don't swim. Even if I cooked the food, I won't eat it. I don't know how I usually know, but, I tell myself in the dream, that I don't eat in the dream.
Most of the 10yrs of my incapacitation I lived a faster life. But this dreams kept happening. I almost felt depressed, that God wasn't hearing my prayers. How can I be fasting and smoking in my dream, the very reason for which I'm fasting? It was so devastating.

I wrote down what the Bible listed out as sins, and was checking my life, which I had over came, which I was struggling with. But I never came across smoking as a sin. But it still worried me.
Every night before I sleep, the lasting I say after prayer is, list out thing I don't do in my dream
I will call my name and say,
You don't eat in your dream,
You don't drink in your dream,
You don't make Love in your dream
You don't swim in your dream. In Jesus Name, Amen. God answered the prayer.
I don't know when He did it. I just wasn't dreaming any of the dreams again. I think it's been years. One day, I remembered that I use to smoke in my dream, but couldn't remember when it stopped.
My dear, keep praying. God knows you hate it. It will stop.

I met a guy in school where am presently running my masters programme, he is into his phd programme at the moment, there was nothing dramatic about our meeting, we started dating 2month after, and it has been a sexless relationship so far, i have a business dt I run coupled with some professional certificates I am pursuing, I guess all that makes him love and want me (i am business oriented, cos I am of the mindset that a lady should be able to fend for herself) since i wont be a burden to him.
he is the one sponsoring himself in school, at the beginning the feelings was mutual, for me it wasn't love, I liked him and I thought this will grow into love, I guess he starts to love me more, this feelings would have been reciprocated until I discovered our level of exposure does not align and it began to reduce the feelings I had for him.
Suffix me to say, I have NEVER ask him for money, and I have gotten him gifts couple of times, but I felt there are things a guy should do as the man in the relationship to command respect.
To mention a few, ve been going to his place so many times, not for once has he paid my transport fare even though he ll always walk me to get the bike after haggling the price, he ll just wave bye.
On our first outing, this guy priced the bike price to the extent of getting to the 7th bike before we could go because of 30 naira difference, the way he always price transport fare anytime we are going out is so shameful, we ll keep alighting from taxi all because of 10 naira difference. Till it got to a time i always offer to pay the difference so we could get going.
Everytime he comes around to see me he always want to eat, and i always prepare good dishes for him, if he comes around and i am broke i ll just tell him i am yet to go get ingredients from th market, he ll just drop 200 to buy indomie for the 2 of us.
There was a time we were gisting about swimming and how I was looking for who to teach me and he said when we go home to meet his people in the village he ll teach me how to swim in the village river and he was serious about it, I was pissed off (cos he would have said the same thing if my friends were around).
Sometimes lastmonth, he invited me for a wedding in another state, I told him if he wants me to come he ll pay for the transport fare, which he didn't pay for eventually, at the party I was sprayed 1500, on our way home I showed it to him, he collected the money from me, saying we are ONE now, i was thinking in my mind, are we married? I felt he shouldn't have collected it. At least show you are the MAN.
He is backward socially, everything about him has been books and more books, I had to teach him the meaning of smileys in chats, simple things like lol, lmao e.t.c cos when i send any of the aforementioned to him when chatting, he ll reply "e wo ma re o"( meaning what is this). He has not tasted or seen baked beans before, does not know what hot dog, pizza, sharwama is, I told him its not about spending your money on these things that matters, but trying to know what goes on around you.
He is always bored when he is alone and wants me to be keeping his company all the time, which I refused cos I told him am not in the relationship to be keeping his company, I told him to get busy, make friends, go out more,recharge your go tv and be watching news or movie. (he said subscribing everymonth is a waste of money) cos I have a business to look after coupled with other commitments, he ll be complaining its because I dont love him.
He does not know what is in vogue at all, I took it upon myself to teach him, but the more I am doing this the more the feelings is draining, because he is not taking the mantle of a man in this relationship, I have been an independent woman for a while now, taking decisions for myself on many issues, I need a man that I can respect his decision and defer to.
Based on this, the physical chemistry is no longer there, I for one love to kiss, but when I kiss him, I feel NOTHING and its one of the reasons why there has been no s** in the relationship.
I want to break up with him soon, I know he is going to be devastated cos he is so emotional, and he believes he has a wife already( which is me) but I want to be sure my reasons are not too flimsy to leave him, and if I should hold on and see if things ll change.
On the good side, he loves me,he can help out in the house chores (I don't allow him though) he ll be a good father, he is willing to learn and change, very reasonable when we r discussing issues, he is likely to be a one woman type of man.
Should I still hold on ??

Please all N'landers follow me thank God Oo I wouldn't have know today. At about 4:30pm yesterday I left my house at akobo Ibadan and I decided to take the railway track to Ojuirin Akobo, on my way I had my iPhone 6 in my hand and my original iPhone head phone blasting Olohun o je by Pasuma and Qdot. I was lost in the music that I didn't notice my environment. A carriage train was coming with high speed behind me, something just told me to observe my environment when I did I saw everyone looking at my direction,shouting, making hand signs but I couldn't hear anything but I understand the hand signs, they were telling me to get out of the track, 2 girls at the age of 7-9 ran towards me and they are making the hand sign immediately I grabbed them I took off my headphone, to my surprise the train is NEAR. It keeps the high tone horn blasting... After 5 seconds(without exaggeration) of me getting off the track the train passed by me with high speed about 80km per hr... My heart dropped from my chest to my feet and the only thing that came to my mind was my 6 month old daughter...

So my brother please kindly change your mindset and blame the system in lagos because in other south west states and most states in the north and south-south, landlords don't charge agreement and caution fee. They are paid only the actual rent nothing more.



My brother you need to understand that your agent is actually doing you a favour because without them you can't even find out the house in the first place. They also protect your interest incase there is any landlord/tenant conflict and also help your retrieve your "caution fee" when some landlords don't want to refund. 1. God-fearing does not men a good man: hiding in one church or the other has become one of the best ways for people to hide their dubious clandestine activities. Once you claim to be a pastor or religious Nigerians are quick to label you a ‘good person’ and give you cool nicknames as ‘brother’, ‘sister’, ‘daddy’, ‘mommy’. Therefore criminals are having a field day in Nigerian churches and ladies are learning the hard way that ‘brothers’ in church are turning out to be ritualists, fraudsters, criminals, women abusers, womanizers at home. Church is just a cover-up of ugly night activities. I will prefer a worldly man with character and values than the so-called god-fearing men.

2. He’s Not democratic: A true religious man is never a democrat in the house if he is the type that follows the teachings of the religious books strictly. Religious books are very male-centric. They are very clear on a man ‘being the head of the household’ and a woman being conservative and submissive to a man. Therefore, if you want freedom in marriage maybe you have to rethink marrying a man who wants to serve his God the way it is written in the book. You cannot eat your cake and have it. You want him to be God-fearing, yet you want to have equal rights in the house? No! No religious book (Bible or Koran) condones that except you are the type that cuts and joins quotations to justify your objectives.

3. Most Are Ladies Men: Pastors and religious men are very charismatic when they dress and preach at the pulpit. We ladies shout, scream, jump, clap and eulogize them. We fall in love with the charisma. Hei… that strength and charisma goes beyond the pulpit. Once we marry them the first thing most women would like to do is to start checking and controlling the very quality that attracted us to the men. Nope!..it’s never going to work, dear. He ‘ll remain the charismatic man, the ladies’ man, the man every lady wants to be with, the man every lady in the church worship his attire and loves, etc. That will keep you on your toes for the rest of your life. You just have to deal with that. The same applies when you marry a wealthy busy celebrity. You cannot slow him down.

4. Some have Ugly Past: Every religious man has a past and that past is actually what shapes their actions and behaviors today. The past may not be good. A former cultist or armed robber could have repented today and become mild and quiet’ it still does not stop the brutish nature from creeping in once in a while when his human nature takes over. Example, If he enjoys rough forceful s*x with women, being a born-again now isn’t going to change that in bed. Be prepared to cry in bed at least once in a while. If he grew up in a cult trusting no one around and always suspicious, being born-again now isn’t going to automatically restore his trust on u or anyone else. If he was an armed robber who shed blood, he will still pass through karma. Even Moses did for striking the rock (God) too hard, David (the man after God’s heart) did for killing a man and sleeping with his wife, St. Paul died through persecution (hanging) too. Karma is a b**tch!

5. They May Live on Faith and Lack: Truly religious men are more likely to live uprightly by turning down bribes, stealing at work, defrauding people and cheating clients. They will most likely depend on their income no matter how meager. (Please forget about the flamboyant pastors in Nigeria. The world has told us how they get rich but we choose to be naive) You are more likely to live with a man who will live on faith and manage what he has. If you love money and flamboyant lifestyle, a real and true religious man is not for you then.
They may be strict and male Chauvinist: You will have a man governed by principles and not easy to bend rules to make you happy. Most ladies will find them too strict, sometime male chauvinists and arrogant. Not the type of man who will leave Church Fellowship to help you babysit so you can go do your hair. Not the type of man who will pay bribes to get your daughter school admission, not the type of man who will jump queue at the bank to get your urgent withdrawal faster. He will live by the rules.

The Advantages

Despite all of the above you are most likely going to have a man who will be content with what he has (even little), happy with whatever you are and look like, not putting you under any pressure to look slimmer and s*exier. He’ll be most likely strong in the face of challenges/ rocky relationship, not easily influenced by the advice of relatives, friends and environment. He is the type of man who will sit by your bedside when you are sick, hold your hand and pray, see you through difficult times without complaining. But honestly you won’t have it rosy at all. I mean a true Christian, a true Muslim, a real religious man who follows the teachings.

It's three days to say goodbye to 2015. Its been a good year for me. One of the things I really thank God for this year, is meeting the godly folk I met on this forum and in this thread. I am so grateful to God, because I can ask and receive counsel from brethren here.

Well, to some, its been a year of unfulfilled dreams, unachieved goals, delayed desires. But not to worry. Man count years, God doesn't.

My devotion this morning was more or less a discussion with the holy spirit. I ask questions and I let him answer. So let me share our dialogue.

there's a way I study, a sermon can come out from just 1 verse.
so here we go.
introduction; Reading this passage of the Bible, we are made to understand that Lazarus and his sisters were the Master's personal friends. They knew Him closely. He visited them often. He ate in their house. They looked forward to him coming every time he was in the region.

Like every human, Lazarus fell very ill, sick unto death. They knew He could heal him without issues. They had seen Him heal others, so they sent for Him, He didn't come. probably didn't even send a word back to comfort them. They knew that Jesus knew how serious the matter was, he didn't need to be told. They still went on to inform him about it. He still didn't showup.

Lazarus Waited for his friend until he died. His friend didn't come. 4days after he had started decaying, he came. To do what now? To mock? to watch us mourn? One may ask.

Martha may have asked. Master, what is the point of you coming now? IF YOU HAD COME WHEN WE SENT FOR YOU, MY BROTHER WOULD NOT HAVE DIED. Now he is dead. its too late. What is the point of having you as a friend, if you can't be here in a time like this?

From January to December, I have prayed, fasted. trusted you, obeyed you. won souls, evangelised, I gave to the poor. I never missed any church service. I followed every instruction through. Yet, am still here. Do you really care?

Why this delay? Its just three days and the year will end. Shld I ve gone to do it as my friends does it? Why am I still single? shd I go ahead and marry an unbeliever like my friends? shd I ve visited that prophet or prophetess? I prayed for that contract. I did everything right, yet they gave it to the other person.

I prayed for the fruit of the womb, my period still came. This pain is still here. My visa is still delayed. I thought that by this year I could complete that project. NOW THE YEAR HAS Ended. What's the point of trusting you. Or is it true like the atheist say, that you don't exist? So on and so forth.

When I read this, was when my questions started.
I said, okay, now what? Lazarus has been dead 4days. Now decay has set in. What's the point?

Here is where I got stocked.
Holy Spirit, what does that even mean? How is Christ the Resurrection? (knowing this time, he had not died nor resurrected yet) I closed my Bible, closed my eyes, closed my physical ears, switched on my spirit man.

I heard him say, Open your eyes. Look at the sun. He said, defined the sun, I did. He said, give the characteristics of the sun. I did.

The sun gives life, light and heat to earth. The sun is the light. It's not part of the light. Without the Sun, life on earth dies. Every brightness is likened to the sun, not the other way round.
(Life may not die immediately in the absence of the sun. But it's dead, it's just a matter of time)

He said, so it is with Christ. Christ is Life. He can give life to who ever or whatever, at anytime he dims it fit. The issue is not whether He can give Life. The issue is, Is He willing to give it, and when?

Martha said, EVEN NOW whatever you ask.

But they asked Lord! Why didn't you give? Why didn't you ask your father for healing for your friend Lazarus, why let him die first?
Which would ve been easier, to heal him or to raise him up?

He said to me, The case of Lazarus is the same with the case of the man born blind. It has nothing to do with his parents or him, just like it has nothing to do with Lazarus being sick, dying and getting resurrected.
He said to me, there are two issues here.
1 Lazarus' Family/Blind man.
2. The general public(Jews) or in our case gentles
He said, "For me, it is not about healing the sick or raising the dead, it's about pointing man to God".

Whatever is normal doesn't fascinate man, so man remains with the Idea that's it's all about himself.
He dies in his sins, without knowing it.

But my heart breaks to see man go the way he is going. So, I have to raise questions in their hearts by doing this things. If I had come when Martha sent for me. The Jews wouldn't know what happened. If Batimeus didn't grow up blind, many Jews would not ve sought to know how possible that could be. If I had gone when Martha sent for me, they wouldn't learn patience and discipline in ministry.

If I had gone when they wanted me, the name of Lazarus, would be just be a name. But today, anywhere the name Lazarus is mentioned, people know him. MY DELAY MADE HIM FAMOUS.

He said, there's a time for waiting. Not fasting or prayer. But RESTING IN ME. ALLOW ME. WAIT.
He said, His Children are too much in a hurry, that's because they measure achievements by what their friends have. He said, too many of His Children are too anxious, fearful of failure, terribly bothered about too many things.

Worrying about things not turning out the way they planned them or the speed they expected. so in a state of anxiety and fear, they pray and fast. And in that state, I will not answer them, becos I do not want you to come to me in fear. Come to me in love.

He said, I want you to tell me your challenges, not because I don't know them, but I want you to depend on me, in love. Tell me what you want, BUT don't tell me how you want me to do it, and When you want it. I don't walk/work with your time. I will do it, in my time.

He said, He created everyman to handle just one assignment on earth. But man is not even interested to find out what his assignment is, that's why he is so worried trying to do 100things that doesn't concern him.

He said, The spiritual is not fascinated by signs and wonders. And I don't perform signs and wonders to show off. It's not to flex ego. There are only necessary to raise questions in the hearts of men, and for those questions to gets answers men will have to draw close to the Master. When they come, then we can sit down and talk about issues. They will then see that they have been looking at things wrongly and are getting it all wrong.

He asked me a question that broke my heart. He said, My daughter, do you think I hate you? I said no Lord. He said, 'I see you. I hear your thoughts', It breaks my heart when you cry. I wish I can take you to the future, so that you can see what my plans are for you, but I Won't, not becos I can't, but becos, I need you to trust me, Rest in me.

This morning He gave me three words. He said I need to learn DISCIPLINE, COORDINATION, AND ORGANISATION.
He said, there's work to do, there's no need to rush. If you ever have a need to rush, know you are walking ahead of me. Align your steps by Me, He said. Don't work outs side of the plan.
If you want to work for yourself, then walk off, but if you want to work for me, then walk by me, not looking at the clock that tells you how old you are.
As at when I needed Isaac, was when he came. As at when I needed Samuel, was when he came, as at when I needed John the Baptist is when he came.

Remember you are the clay. The clay doesn't tell the Potter when, and how to be formed, or what the Potter shd do with it.
He says, look away from the clock. Look up to me. I have the answers.

God bless you all... I need some advice... I previously danced to worldly music I.e Micheal Jackson moonwalker in times past... but then even as a solid zealous Christian ..I noticed an error. I noticed distractions of these past obsessive music even though I pragmatic and determined never to play or hear them..I resist them highly, loathe after its deceptive tricks and evil passion of flesh because of how evil the instruments and music intentions are, so for long time, I never like wordly music.. here is the contention, I noticed that most times, I unconsciously sing micheal Jackson songs or it sings in my thoughts and I unknowingly dance to the rythm depending on where my mood swings to .. (note: this is not frequent tho, rarely occurs but very strong when it happens ) I have renouced every thing relating to demonic music but Micheal jackson is a perfect depiction of satan appearing as an angel of light.. mistake I made in time past which I am correcting now... seems he used bewitching spells on his followers-- not too sure. but please SOME one help me on what to do.. I have resisted this influence several times and even if it was. a food for the soul.. if the person decides his soul will not feed on this evil music.. its enough!!
