First, it was NYSC advising Corpers to keep ransom incase they get kidnapped. Now the police is advising people not to defend themselves when they get kidnapped. Instead of doing their duty, they've decided to become abduction advisors.

If it were to threaten or kill innocent protesters, we would be hearing words like; " the police swung into action" or " police clamped down on".

The other day it was FC Taraba players that had to sleep outside the government house gate as a form of protest to make their grievances known to government about the backlogs of salaries been owed to them

Following the earlier directive on the suspension of new SIM registration by network operators, the Federal government has directed all operators in the country to disconnect every SIM card not synchronized with valid National Identity Number (NIN) by December 30th 2020.


This came after an urgent meeting of key stakeholders in the Communications industry convened by the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Dr. Isa Ali Ibrahim (Pantami) on Monday, December 14, 2020.

The meeting in its resolution insisted that all telecom operators must from Thursday, December 16, 2020 require all their subscribers to provide valid National Identification Number (NIN) to update SIM registration records.

Hi, I am Lady Bee: a wife (met my husband here, story for another day in another room !), mother, teacher, virtual assistant (both home and abroad), life coach, broadcaster(OAP), biographer, freelancer, content writer, community developer, data scientist and artificial intelligence enthusiast.

I started out early by going to school like everyone and I did studied a course of my choice; looking back now, I discovered that the Nigerian-System needs us all to make it better. MY bitter-sweet job hunt experience were elucidated below with lessons extracted:

1. Survival:
The first thing you need to do is to get the earliest job that will put food on your table, have a time frame in mind and work hard towards savings. This job should be within your locality so as to eliminate the cost of transportation or you relocate near your office.

Shared apartment is needed at this level (I shared accommodation with an aunt whom I was responsible to; she even screened my suitors before endorsing MY NAIRALAND HUBBY; !).

2. Development:
I worked in this survival mode for 5 years (patience is the key), but I did so many trainings (free and paid) and that is why I can tell you that I am into so many things. I got married and we had a son , things were obviously becoming better till my husband's investments CRASHED (story for another day , he came back stronger and better anyways )!

I kept on developing myself and here I am today... every year I make sure that I get trained on at least a thing (EVEN IN THIS COVID -19 YEAR !).


3. Lunching Out:
Create a job (solve at least a problem in the society)

This level is not for cowards, but strong willed individuals; lunch out to make your dreams come true; leverage on your contacts during your developmental phase, have mentors who have similar goals as yours and have made a level of achievement ahead of yours.

Service rendering is key: I started virtual assistance job free of charge and I can tell you that during the LOCKDOWN, I earned over 100k assisting friends and family with clerical jobs from my small apartment.


4. Do not give up, THE SUN SHALL SOON SHINE!

Are financially stable men looking for you to marry or to sleep with?
Before you insult me or broke shame me,pleaseknow that I am very very comfortable and as such wouldn't look at a 30year old woman in Nigeria twice for marriage.
The earlier you all understand this the better for you.
Unless you are very lucky but no big man marries women that aren't in their youth no more.
I mean who get that time to dey jump from one fertility clinic to the other or seeing your old skin almost everyday in the name of marrying old woman and worse still upon all my money?
