Hello wonderful people.

I have always followed the Peugeot thread even before i got mine. And the information i get from this platform emboldened me to buy a Peugeot car. Also this platform has really helped immensely in keeping the lion on the road to the amazement of other 607 users.

I own a lion(v6, 607, 2006 model, facelifted model). I haven't had any issues with it since i bought it(infact i don't have check engine on, except there is an issue and immediately i resolve it, it goes off).
I was travelling about a week ago and my speedometer suddenly stopped working and the steering became very stiff.
The onboard computer shows a speedometer sign with an error symbol. The multifunction screen also displays "speed sensor faulty".
If i park the car overnight or for some days, by next time i start the car, it starts to work perfectly for the next 15 to 20minutes before it goes back to status quo.

I have scanned the car and the scan result points out that the speed sensor at the front passenger side and rear passenger side needs to be changed.

Please i will like to find out
1. if anyone has experienced same and
2. if by changing the said faulty sensors, the issue was resolved
3. if anyone has an idea of the cost of the sensor
4. and the contact of any trusted Peugeot parts dealer who i can get it from.

P.S: I am resident in Ibadan.

2. if the scan result said faulty speed sensors, there's only one thing you need to do first, replace the sensors. very simple
3. I can hook you up with a toks seller in ilorin. not so far from Ibadan.

I haven't driven my 206 1.6L in like 4months now and the engine oil inside (mineral) inside is still fresh, just Waka 350km before I abandoned it since January dis yr.
I want to take the midget on a long walk today. so I wanna ask pls what's the maximum period that mineral oil is supposed to stay in an engine and is it necessary I change the oil, since the engine oil is still fresh.

Both cars are good. Pls don't buy the naija used ones. Buy toks...i repeat do not buy naija used without professional inspection.

We just bought a naija used 307.
It was bought tokunbo 3 years ago, means that 1st naija owner used Quartz5000 on it for the 3years. Plz is it advisable that the new owner opt to the recommended Quartz7000 without fear of engine beginning to smoke. Thanks.

NB: personaly I advised him to keep using the quartz5000 on the same engine. Would like to hear from you boss. Thanks.

hello gazzuzz, after I rotated my tires this morning, (brought the rear tires to the front and vice versa) later today i experienced steering shake at speed 90km/hr and above. even at idle the steering was also shaking small small...pls did i do wrong by rotating the tires or wetin spoil?

Pls help me out, my Peugeot 206 wont start in the mornings until after like i try like 4-5 times with my foot on the tutle. After that it starts at the 1st kick throughout the day untill the next morning when the trouble starts all over again.

If you experience overheating that goes away while car is on motion and reoccurs whenever car is in traffic or operating idle?...you may have a problematic water pump.

1. With key turn you the fuel pump will prime the fuel rail so car starts immediately. 2. you should use a voltmeter and a pressure tester to confirm.

3. you should use a voltmeter and a pressure tester to confirm. peugeot vehicles have a very unique electronic system, in the peugeot 407 the fuel pump will prime when you open the drivers door with the key out engine off.

Hello Gazzuzz.
Pls help me with this 3 questions below:

1) With the ignition on, the fuel pump is supposed to produce a kind of humm sound right?...

2) Is the fuel pump suppose to produce humm sound with every turn of the key? I've always noticed I could only get the sound 3 times out of 5 times of turning on the key.

3) pls what do you think happened in those 2 times I turned the key and didn't get a sound from the pump?
