CrimeNDLEA Arraigns Church General Overseer And One Other For Drug Traffickings by Noerection(op): 7:48am On May 13, 2023
The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has arraigned High Priest Nnodu Azuka Kenrick , the founder and General Overseer of Seraphic and Sabbath Assembly, and two others before a Federal High Court sitting in Lagos State, for drug trafficking.

The High Priest, his co-defendants Udezuka Udoka and Oyoyo Mary Obasi, were arraigned before Justice Akintayo Aluko, on Friday, May 12, 2023, on a count-charge of conspiracy and unlawful possession of the hard drugs.

While the High Priest was arraigned on fourth count-charge of conspiracy, unlawful export of 14.90 kilograms of Cannabis Sativa and Methamphetamine and procuring both Udoka and Oyoyo to unlawfully export the drugs, the duo were arraigned on all the count charge of conspiracy, unlawful export of the drug.

The prosecutor, Mr. Abu Ibrahim told the court that they committed the offences with one Chisom, now at large, on February 9, 2023.

Mr. Ibrahim told the court that all the defendants were arrested with the drugs at the NAHCO Export Shed, a Customs Point of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja-Lagos.

He told the court that the offences contravened sections 14 (b); 21 (2)(d) and 20 (1)(a) of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency Act Cap. N30, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 2004, and punishable under Sections 11 (b) and 20(2)(a) of the same Act.

All the defendants pleaded guilty to the charges.

Following their guilty plea, the prosecutor after reviewing the fact of the matter, through an exhibit keeper, Fredrick Atoni, urged the court to convict and sentence the defendants in accordance with the sections of the NDLEA Act they were charged with.

But the defendants’ lawyer, Chief Benson Ndakara, expressed rude shock over the defendants’ guilty plea, saying that he was taken by surprise with their change of mind, after dissipating extra energy and time to prepare and file their various bail applications.

Chief Ndakara however, pleaded with the court to temper justice with mercy in sentencing the defendants, on the ground that they are first time offenders without any record of previous conviction.

Justice Aluko after taking submissions of parties convicted all the defendants as charged, and ordered that they be remanded in the custody of the Nigerian Correctional Services (NCoS) till when he will pronounce their sentence on the charge.

PoliticsSupreme Court Adjourns Nnamdi Kanu’s Case To Sept 14 by Noerection(op): 2:56pm On May 11, 2023
The Supreme Court on Thursday adjourned the hearing in the suit filed by the Indigenous People of Biafra for the release of their leader, Nnamdi Kanu, to September 14.

The PUNCH had on November 3, 2022, reported that IPOB filed a suit at the apex court against the verdict of the Appellate Court which stopped the release of the leader of the Igbo self-determination group.

The lead lawyer for IPOB and human rights activist, Ifeanyi Ejiofor, had in a statement said, “We have appealed to the Supreme Court, to set aside the ruling of the Court of Appeal, staying the execution of the court’s judgment discharging him, and placing a further bar to any further detention and prosecution of Nnamdi Kanu on any charge/indictment before any court in Nigeria.

“Recall that on October 28, 2022, a three-person panel of Learned Justices of the Court of Appeal (Abuja Judicial Division), granted an application for the stay of execution of the judgment of the Court of Appeal, pending the determination of the appeal filed before the Supreme Court by the Federal Government.

“After a thorough review of the said ruling by our defence team, eminently led by foremost leading Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Chief Mike Ozekhome (SAN), an informed decision was taken by the erudite Senior Advocate, and the entire team, that the said ruling, which has no foundation in law or facts, placed before the court, should be immediately appealed against, for it to be set aside by the Apex Court.

“Our well-informed position was given a final nod by our indefatigable client, Nnamdi Kanu, during my last visit to him.

“We therefore, by this medium, inform the general public, and Umuchineke in particular, that we have filed an appeal against the said ruling of the Court of Appeal delivered on October 28, 2022, and will proactively follow up on the administrative process to ensure that both appeals are given accelerated hearings in line with the extant fast-track rules of the Supreme Court.

Prior to the hearing, Kanu’s special counsel, Aloy Ejimakor, had urged the Supreme Court to ensure justice in the trial of his client.

Same thing IPOB have said! However, there are some really evil people who are fuelling this sit-at-home primarily out of pure hatred for the Igbo….their dislike for Mazi Kanu and their hatred and fear for the secessionist agenda come a distant second! They get a boner at the thought of the south-east economy being negatively impacted in any way by this sit-at-home and this is why they support it! Notice any thread about the daft efulefu ekpa and sit-at-home….they fall in to give a rousing support!

PoliticsObi Fed People With The Sacred Apple, Nigeria May Not Be The Same Again- Nnamani by Noerection(op): 2:28pm On Apr 06, 2023
Chimaroke Nnamani, a senator for Enugu East in the National Assembly, has accused Peter Obi, the presidential candidate for the Labour Party (LP), of using his campaigns to further ethnic and religious prejudice in the 2023 election.

Peter Obi, according to Senator Nnamani, who ran for and lost the Senate seat to Kelvin Chukwu of the Labour Party, “deflowered the virgin innocence of political patriotism and nationalism in Nigeria.”

In a statement on Sunday, he claimed that while quietly telling the populace otherwise, Obi ran a religiously motivated campaign.
But, Senator Nnamani argued that Nigeria might not be the same again after what the Labour Party’s presidential candidate performed during the campaigning for the 2023 elections.
“Peter Obi deflowered the virgin innocence of political patriotism and nationalism,” the speaker declared.

Nigeria may never be the same after he supplied our people with the sacred apple.

Akelicious report that, Nnamani claimed that Peter Obi brought into play during his 2023 presidential campaigns the rift he allegedly created while serving as the governor of Anambra State.

The former governor of Enugu State also accused Obi in his statement of using religious warfare under the guise of Labour Party politics before nationalising and embracing it for all Christian dominance among Nigerians at home and abroad.

“What was in whispers and hush tones, Peter proclaimed loud in decibels in Cathedrals and Holy Sepulchres,” the Enugu East Senator lamented.

“The Roman Catholic-dominated politics that Peter learned and imposed on the people of Anambra when he was governor served as a prologue to his nationwide efforts.

Peter “spread ecumenically across the Religious landscape the Family Trinity of the Roman Catholics of Mary, Joseph, and Jesus as the Labour Party’s symbol of Father, Mother, and Child.”

The legislator charged that the Labour Party’s nominee had used his campaigning to pit some parts of the nation against one another by playing the racial and religious cards.

Nnamani claimed that Peter tried to convert people by saying, “Do not vote for me because I am a Christian,” but that “the code was clear and its subliminal assimilation final.”

“For his ethnic war, he spread across Igbo-domiciled places in Nigeria, particularly markets and commercial centres,” he continued.

He chose Christian-minority communities in Northern and Central Nigeria for his campaigns. His dual opiate of religious intolerance and tribalism has formed a national landing to never leave again.

The Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, has stated that anyone with proof against the Chairman of the Lagos State Parks and Garages Association, Musiliu Akinsaya, popularly known as Mc Oluomo, should file a suit of attack against him.

Adejobi made this known in his response to a Twitter user, AjammaS, via his Twitter handle on Tuesday morning.

The tweep, AjammaS, claimed Adejobi and the police failed to protect voters during the election after he demanded people to take MC Oluomo’s remark about Igbo in a viral video as a joke and assured them of safety during the election.

AjammaS wrote, “Sir, you are also guilty, if I may say. This is what you said in the TV interview, and I quote. ‘MC Oluomo threat is a joke, let’s take it as a joke until he perfected [sic] the threat. I urge everyone to go out and cast their votes.”

“Now Nigerians heed to your calls and went out to cast their votes and unfortunately you failed to protect them as you promised. They were attacked by MC Oluomo and his boys, some were murdered, brutalised, blinded, some are currently receiving treatment in different hospitals.”

Responding, Adejobi asked tweep to file an attack case against Oluomo if he had evidence of attacks against him, adding that Oluomo has no immunity.

He said, “You can take the case of attack up with MC if you have a case or evidence of attacks against him. Many people and lawyers, even the deputy gov of Lagos, have said it severally. He has no immunity, so if you have a case of attack against him, take it up.”

“There is no need to pass judgement or do trial on Twitter. Very simple. Many of you just follow others to raise this issue on Twitter.”

The Force PRO had described the threat by MC Oluomo against Igbo as a joke when a video had surfaced online of MC Oluomo threatening Igbo in Lagos State against voting for another political party except for the All Progressives Congress in the state governorship election.

You can take the case of attack up with MC if you have a case or evidence of attacks against him. Many people and lawyers, even the deputy gov of Lagos, have said it severally. He has no immunity, so if you have a case of attack against him, take it up. https:///CC4e6UW3tE

Reacting to the video on Channels TV, Adejobi said, “I saw a video of MC Oluomo with one Mama Chidinma – an Igbo woman – debunking that threat; that it’s not true, it’s just a joke he was making with a particular woman. So, let us take it as a joke, like he said.

“But, nobody has the right and audacity to tell Nigerians not to come out and vote; it’s not allowed and not proper. MC Oluomo has come out to debunk it, so let’s leave it that it’s not true. The Commissioner of Police in Lagos has debunked it and MC Oluomo himself has done the same, so Lagosians should go out and vote for the candidate of their choice.”

The Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Obafemi Hamzat, had said that MC Oluomo, a staunch supporter of the APC, and the President-elect, Bola Tinubu, must be arrested and prosecuted if found guilty of breaking the law during the just-concluded elections in the state.

Although the deputy governor said he was not calling for the arrest of anybody, he said the facts should be examined and “if in truth he (MC Oluomo) has broken the law, he must pay for it.”
