This is the worst time to lay off staff. After staying at home for 5 week, you resume by getting sacked. Where will these people get new jobs from when everyone is affected? It's better to temporarily review salaries than totally letting them go.

The picture I posted are exactly the state of the chairs. There is a tear on the leather, and I always mention it to everyone who showed interest in the 7 seater. The 7 seater has been kept in a room since October last year and ofcourse it was dusty. This man wasn’t buying the chairs so I didn’t discuss any defect with him.
I didn’t post pictures of the AC and Gen on Nairaland but I sent to most people upon request.

The Rusty Gen is almost brand new but was abandoned for a while and rain water did justice to it; and the AC is in perfect condition but for the missing pipes which I gave him a discount of 5k.
If the items were really bad, do you think he’ll be interested in buying them after his initial inspection?
This man entered my family house in Abuja and still called me a scammer. Thanks for your consideration but I’ve learnt my lessons.

If truly my items were as bad as he claimed why did he insist on purchasing them? I only asked for a deposit so I can reserve the items for him till Saturday which is not out of place. He refused and insisted on coming to pick them on Saturday by which time the items were long gone. I can choose not to pick his call as I owe him nothing. The security man informed him the items have been sold and he’s here crying like a baby.

I understand you. I believe you did what you felt was best, but still, don't argue when you're told that asking him for deposit will always send a wrong message. Go to jiji, that's what scammers do. Ask for deposit, then block you afterwards. I advice you should not use that line next time.

Also, you didn't address the issue of the condition of your wares. Did you post the brand new pictures as against their current looks? They may not be as bad as the guy painted, no problem, but did you post pictures that do not represent the real-time looks of the merchandise? If yes, that's not cool, especially for the price you quoted. Imagine how people were praising your chairs, only to see something different when they come.

The AC is old with dents and scratches, missing parts e.t.c
The Gen is rusted....rust has taken away some parts
The chairs are torn and old.

I spoke with him on WhatsApp, went to the location for pick up, he directed me to another person only to discover these things.
I asked for discount for the repairs, he only agreed to remove 5k, l accepted and we agreed that I will pick up today.
Only for him to call me that I should send money to show "commitment"
I told him to bring the items to me and I will pay immediately.
He now said he will wait till our agreed day which is today.
I've gone to the location for pick-up but he's not taking his calls.

Proceed with caution people.
This is my experience.
