A Nigerian man on Facebook has talked about the values missing in the curriculum of Nigerian employers, how to value human being. He did this in a post in which he called out convenant university for being a serial offender. Read what he wrote: A tale of Two Worlds... Western Institution (email): Mr. Samuel, we will like to have a 15 minute interview with you on Skype. Can you give us a date and time between 1st and 6th of November that will be okay for you? Me (email): I am happy with 10 am of Saturday 5th November. Western Institution: That's great then, look forward to speaking to you. *** Nigerian University (SMS sent around 6 pm Sunday): You're invited for an interview at Covenant slated for 8.30 am on Tuesday morning. Me (phone call): Hello, I just got your message for an interview. I live in Benue, I am supposed to start preparing to be in Lagos tomorrow for an interview the next morning? Nigerian University (indignantly): Oga is job we're talking about o. Me: Okay, your notice is too short, I can't make it. Friends: Oboy just do am like that, even if na night bus, just go. Me: Nah. I am not that desperate. I want to work with people who value people. This is a major turn off. They don't even care that I need to prepare for the interview. They don't care I need to meet financial obligations as well as other things to be in Lagos. They don't care if I even made an appointment for Monday before. *** See the difference between a society that values you and one that treats you like trash? I am supposed to come to your university to add value...you're not doing me a favor because you will be paying me 120k. And this is what happens when a society defines its values primarily around money - dignity is sacrificed. PS: Covenant did this shit of a two day notice twice. I bounced the interview twice. They are a university, an institution that people are trained at, not a band of unorganized bus drivers. A country of "Do it like that, because time is going." https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=2253180758040650&id=100000462444857

Facebook user, Mbe Nwaniga, gives us insight into how he thinks the "no election" order of IPOB will turn out. Hear him: The NPN was so desperate to "capture" Anambra in the 1983 election.A few of their largely young political strategists pushed by youthful exuberance probabaly thought they understood the complexities of the Igbo political culture so they suggested that President Shagari grant the almighty Odumegwu-Ojukwu state pardon and bring him back to help in their campaigns. They sponsored massive media campaigns and emotive street propaganda beginning from 1982.Newspaper headlines concocted appeals to Shehu Shagari from millions of dead children, even Ojukwu's mother and scores of angels in heaven cried to the president to "bring my son back","bring our messiah back","give us Ojukwu or there will be no elections in Anambra state or any part of Igboland"...Well,you know that our love for Ojukwu is still unequalled to this day. The Shagari/NPN led federal government buckled under the debilitating pressure despite protests from the apprehensive military who nearly capitulated fighting the Ojukwu led Biafra just a decade ago.Our supreme commander was offered pardon and membership of the ruling party. The day he came back from Ivory Coast was the greatest street carnival in Nigeria. From the airport in Lagos to nearly all major roads and streets ,millions of jubilant Igbo sang "Papa anata,Oyoyo",Onye ije nno" in wild street parties. Ojukwu was registered to contest for the Senate and mobilised against the Jim Nwobodo/NPP led government in Anambra. They hoped to transform our idolisation of Ojukwu to a political victory. Then came the election proper after a few months. An obscure Commissioner; Edwin Onwudiwe defeated Ojukwu by over 12,000 votes in an election that the police, army and federal agents tried so much to rig. Those Igbo chanting for Ojukwu on the streets just a few months ago simply decided at the polls that Ojukwu should not be the one to represent them even at the Senate. You would pay a million to see the look on President Shagari and the rest of Nigerians faces at the time.We pulled a heavy prank on them, didnt we?What kind of people are these Igbos!! Hahaha.Odiegwu oh! The unprecedented massive turnout of voters in Anambra this November would put that same look on our faces.Lets call it Igbo National Prank 2. Should we bet on that? https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=10155520074514289&id=647374288

A Facebook user, Mr Mbe Nwaniga, has shared his experience on a flight with Mr Peter Obi sometime last year. See text below: I have always liked Peter Obi from what I have heard and read about him but I keeled over when I met him by chance on October 21 last year.I had been in Lagos for 5 days trying to sort out a few things. Then they said I should go to Abuja and collect some documents waiting for me there or wait in Lagos for another week for them to send it officially from Abuja.I decided on the first suggestion. Very early next morning I was in the airport trying to buy a ticket to Abuja. It was a Friday morning and i can't say why all the tickets were up to 10k more than the price they stated on their website last night. I settled for the 6:50 am First Nation flight to Abuja. It was the cheapest ticket that morning.Midway on our seamless journey,a man in a couple of seats in front stood up and went to the toilet.I was like;"is this man not Peter Obi,the former governor of Anambra?". On his way back to his seat,I stopped him and asked; "Oga,o na oburo gi bu Peter Obi"?(Oga,are you not Peter Obi).He answered yes and told me that he had to go back to his seat so he won't block the aisle and inconvenience those wanting to use the toilet.I followed him back to his seat and introduced myself as a fan as well as an online political commentator. We started off on why he was traveling so easily on a cheap economy ticket but I had to return to my seat as I was blocking the aisle and some passengers started complaining. We agreed to continue our discussion when we land in Abuja but while I waited for my two luggages at the conveyor belt,he left in a hurry to catch his appointment. I looked at all other passengers leaving the first class cabin and couldn't faintly recognise any of them. Then the question started. How can this man be traveling like this? How can he be so ordinary and easygoing? Why on earth did a former governor and one of the richest men in Nigeria travel on this aircraft economy ticket and used that same toilet? Why didn't he pay for a first class ticket like those other "big men"?.Did he eat that burnt Agege bread they served us? How come he is so different?Could this man be the very person Nigeria need or he is being overly dramatic like the rest of them? This questions remain nagging voices inside my head till today!
Good day everyone. Please I need advice on this. I have an Infinix HOT 3 phone, and since yesterday, when I want to download, the image below shows, telling me to upgrade to the latest version of Infinix Hot 3. My question is will I lose all my files and apps if I download this latest version? Thank you so much
Don't. If there's a new version it should be in your system update app, not that stuff you're showing us. That's likely a virus. |
Dammiesugar:Mind checking your pm, Dammie? |
My own calculator on hot 4. Check your phone well.
|
wizzywisdom:Just untick that box and proceed. if it says you should switch to sdcard, just say yes. |
Hakeem12:Yup. 4th update. Downloading the new one now.
