As we get older, more experienced and less impulsive; the younger ones are making new discoveries and getting all excited by it. Full bid can turn to full offer in a matter of seconds. |

Agbalowomeri: Na patience we dey buy and sell for this market. Anybody wey no know is on a long thing 😂
Meanwhile I don move one step down on my babes class make I no wound😂 The only way we would see GTCO below 30 for a sustained period is if Q2 result is abysmal. And while that is certainly a possibility it is very unlikely given the current interest rate environment. |

yMcy56: My big boss, you were right about the pricing of our stocks, it doesn't make sense seeing them at ridiculous prices honestly.... especially when we consider the great revenues being made despite the harsh operating environment...
....but it is what it is for now, FA aside, pls be cautious and always seek 2nd opinion from the experts who's being on ground for long so you can monitor the market to pick at very good bargain prices.
Not saying your GT call is/was wrong o, after-all it didn't obey Oga Agba's southward call, he has not been able to enter since he exited .......but just some words of caution from your pikin in the biz.
You're welcome sir. I no know wetin Oga Agba see oh but I was/am grateful for his challenge to my opinion. He made me adjust my spreadsheet to factor in one off FX gains and after doing that I saw that there was a clear dichotomy in banking stocks. This dichotomy made me dump my FCMB and add more GTB and some UBA. To be honest I almost dont want the stocks to rally just yet. I am looking to raise some more cash to buy even more. I firmly believe that too much of a good thing is a great thing P.S Abeg how my grand mother go dey say she be my pikin |

Raider76: Well one market authority said that GTB wants to always be different. They will surely be acting differently if they allow their SP to rise significantly before the RI, as the other banks so far seem to be keeping their SP low, perhaps to allow the major shareholders and big investors to mop up the RI. CAN YOU GUYS PLEASE STOP WITH THE ACRONYMS. I don't understand what you just said |

yMcy56: More of big boss self. I've been hearing or reading about his moniker from some Ogas here for quite a long time.
But, I'll just say he should be cautious of Nigerian banks, especially with these POs and RI stuffs.......though pumping possibility is there sha. Ha! My Madam at the top. No be so oh. My excitement for GTCO is not short term. Right now I believe the currency devaluation is well over done. Very soon the benefits of the painful reforms would start to kick in and I want to holding when all the big ogas come and buy. Nigeria companies are being priced as though we are a war torn Nation and that doesn't make sense. P.S I am not a Tinubu guy and the better times may not even come in his administration |

So In my head I'm looking at like 46. Though I am looking to raise funds to buy some more later in the month/next month (Assuming price stays in this range). But guy reason am oh! vacanci: is it the Table-shaker Q1 report for GTB that is making it undervalued at current price?
Is that a sustainable result? I dont see why not. They actually lost money on the fx side of things so even if there was a one off item it certainly wasn't fx |

sky2891: @nosa2, Please, what's your fair value for GTB? @currentprice copied. Over N200. ROE is currently 68% (Highest in the industry, if not the entire market) PE is 2.41 Forward PE is 0.71 These numbers are after totally discounting any fx gains. This bank is probably worth N400 but I will start taking profit at N200. I HAVE NEVER SEEN A STOCK THIS CHEAP. EVER!!!! Only down side i can see is the high Book Value |

Raider76: Recapitalization makes short to medium term outlook for banking stocks hazy. While the picture of the way the exercise is going to take place is clearing the post recapitalization issues such as dilution effects are difficult to predict. This fear is irrational. You are buying the business as it stands. And as it stands its a very good company selling at a ridiculously cheap price. |

Mankind2024: @Veterans Nosa2, you can't quit VFDGROUP! This group is destined for success. I haven't seen clearer or better financial reports from any listed company than VFDGROUP's. Be like a farmer - a seed planted in VFDGROUP may surely yield a bountiful harvest. Unlike some listed companies where the winner takes all, VFDGROUP's objective seems to prioritize investors' interests in their plans, indicating a more inclusive and sustainable approach to business. They surely had a bad 2023 for the first time in their history. Given the current market environment, VFD group is well priced at best. There is no bargain there |
Investment › Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by nosa2(m): 4:10am On Jul 02, 2024 |
Just did the numbers for VFD group and the EPS printed for Q1 is wrong. They printed N10.34 but the actual number is N2.07.
I just lost money on FCMB because of this sort of misleading numbers. I'm not doing it again. |

bovali: I think I'm gonna be posting a snapshot of my portfolio at the start of each quarter cause that was the second b2b quarter of 40%+ returns. Also because streetinvestor is always mocking me for not dropping advise. That being said, i will never recommend anyone to invest in what i don't have stake in. DD advised as always. Side note: I'm still upcoming so don't laugh at my portfolio. I have 45m in cash that i will use to average down if needed. You dont have GTB? you need to look into it oh. Probably the cheapest stock on the NSE right now |
