A Catholic priest has been kidnapped while he was travelling to Anambra state for his father's burial.

Rev. Fr. Valentine Oluchukwu Ezeagu was travelling to his village, Igboukwu, in Aguata Local Government Area, Anambra State, when four armed men came out of the bush in a bad spot at Umulolo in Arondizuogu, forced him into the back of the car and sped off with him.

The kidnap took place on Tuesday, Dec 15, the Office of the Secretary General, Sons of Mary Mother of Mercy Generalate announced in a statement.

His late father's vigil Mass is to hold on Wednesday, Dec 16, and his funeral on Thursday, Dec 17.

The Generalate is asking for prayers for his "immediate release" so that he can attend his father's funeral.

That said, I strongly condemn the Kankara GSS attack. The government should do everything possible to arrest the situation and bring the perpetrators to book! More military personnel should be deployed as a matter of urgency to ensure that all civilians are safe and sound. Nothing must happen to anyone otherwise the repercussion may not augur well for the government.. [s]But I strongly believe in the leadership/capability of President Mohammadu Buhari and I am 100% sure he'll handle this issue professionally and intelligently, [/s]being an experienced, brilliant and intelligent retired General.

While we await the outcome, I appeal to my brothers and sisters in the North to remain calm and patient.

Hi Nairalanders, ur advice is seriously needed here. No insults pls.
I've been struggling with Masturbation and pornography addiction for the past 15 years.
I've tried all I could to stop but all to no avail.
I've prayed and fasted so many times with no tangible result. What happens is that;
I'll stop for like six(6) months without endulging in it. But once am down I see myself in the act again.
It has been filled with ups and downs all dis years.
Anytime I endulge in it the aftermath is filled with regrets, guilt, shame and loss of inner power.
