The link you provided is written by someone who probably is not aware of what your country did in 2007..Anyway currency exchange rate value is nothing if the purchasing power purity is not favourable. Try compare the price of goods in Nigeria and the price of the same goods in Ghana that's when you will realize that despite the zeros your removed your economy is still in shambles. Any riff raff can take note of those digits and swindle him yet again. Withdrawing via the cou term seems to be his best bet.

If the paragraph above is not tenable, another option is that when he gets a new card, help him scratch off the 15 digit number in front and the 3 digit at the back.

Aside that I have communicated with my sis through whom I would be sending money to my dad..His account that has been compromised will only be used for his pension,though like I said early the ATM card has been blocked..So let's see how it plays out.Thanks a lot dear

Freezing the card can only be effective if the thief carries out these crimes using dad's ATM (which I doubt is the case).

It's was through the ATM. Before he started using ATM we didn't have such problem.. In fact I was told this morning that there was a time he misplaced the ATM, only to find it days later..So I believe that's what afford the fraudsters the opportunity to take advantage of it.

If the said account is his pension account, then he can't change the account number. What I would advise is still the freezing of the account. When his account is frozen, only your can be able to withdraw money over the counter. He nor anyone else cannot withdraw via an ATM, POS, online platform,m...nowhere but the counter, thereby checkmating the fraudster. Note that this would have to continue until the problem is corrected. Please do this fast.
