BadBreathBoy: This guy called bad breath have haunted me all the way from primary school down to secondary and even to my university level.
I am still a young 19 years old guy at the peak of youthfulness but this guy is just ruining everything for me. My self-esteem, public speaking skills, social life, confidence, in fact, everything has been smashed with a sledgehammer right in my face. I have turned into an introvert because of this bad sickness but will cover it up with "Money on my mind" shït.
I have tried everything possible guys. Below are kinds of stuff that I have tried and it is not working.
1. Visiting a dentist. 6 months ago, I took all the money I had to go over to the dentist in search of a solution. Had to wait for hours before getting attended to. When the doctor came in, she first started with some words of encouragement.
Telling me I might not have bad breath and all, people might be thinking they have it but don't blah blah blah. (So me that have bad breath I don't know what I am saying right?) After much talk, she recommended flossing and cleaning. That exercise where water passing through a tiny hole at high speeds is used to remove plaque from in between your teeth. I had to shell out a whopping 4k for that plus the extra card of 500. All the money I saved was gone just like that. It didn't work!!! Bad breath still held me down.
2. Brushing twice a day. I did this for 1 week straight up without any improvement relative to the hard work put in. So I became less consistent with this. Toothpaste I have tried includes, Oral B, MyMy, Maclean, Close up, name it. Didn't work.
3. Garlic and ginger. Some persons here on Nairaland recommend that ginger and garlic can be used to drive off bad breath. The prescription was to swallow it whole before going to bed at night then brush in the morning to remove the after-effects. I tried this for one week. Didn't work.
4. Mouthwash: I have wasted more than 4k in buying mouthwash but these things are just 2 hours wonder from the moment of application. I get fresh breath for the time being but after like 3 to 4 hours, the bad breath keeps on coming back. Still didn't work.
5. Hydrogen peroxide: Someone also recommended I use this to chase bad breath. It also works for sometime after which bad breath comes back. I even tried to dilute less than normal for maximum effects but the only thing I got was an irritating burn on my tongue. I am so not using this guy again!
6. Walnut: Some said walnut could be my Savior so I had to buy them in large quantity to chew but it didn't have long-term effects. So I ditched it. I don't have money to waste as I am still a student.
7. Chewing a combination of bitter leaf, scent leaf, and guava leaves: Out of intuition, I decided to try this combination. My common sense inferred that since it was bitter, it should probably have some effects on the bacteria in my mouth. But alas! Bad breath wasn't even impressed one bit. I even had to stuff them in my pocket and chew on them while going to class. This was a big flop. Didn't work at all.
8. Agnes Nwamma Herbal powder: I don't know what to say about this one, because it was even better that I just didn't brush for that day. Very useless in fighting off bad breath.
The funny thing that leaves my jaw-dropping is that my dad doesn't even brush, he uses a chewing stick but still has a very fresh breath than I that used mouthwash, baking powder, toothpaste and still chew the chewing stick to top that.
9. Chewing gum like Clorets, Methos: I have to be frank about these gums, they kind of aggravates the bad breath. They are simply applying salt to injury so I just stopped using them altogether.
Pls Nairalanders, help me out here. There have been lots of people who found a solution to their problem on here, so I doubt mine will be different. Pls, I need something else to try that will not dig a hole in my pocket as I am still trying to stand on my feet. I need a permanent solution not 3 hours wonder.
Lala pls push to the front page so I can get a large set of solutions to fight this off.
I don't want to resume school like this. I am tired, I am weak, disheveled, exhausted, dejected, depressed, anguished, melancholic, in fact, I have tayad like this.
My confidence and esteem have been crushed by bad breath. Shyness, inability to have streamlined chat with people, playing deaf and dumb, using hand signals whilst communicating, smiling like a peacock when my opinion is required, staying away from girls, snubbing people, rejecting positions that have me talk to a crowd has taken over!!
Pls, abeg, mbok, biko, I need a solution. A permanent one at that.
Start taking lemon tea, that's the end of your problem
Kiddogarcia: Mine was the day she told me she give no hoot about the happenings in the society during the endsars protest,as long as she and her family was safe, others were not part of her business. I knew we had to end whatever we thought we had,how can someone I call my girl, could be that insensitive towards the cause of humanity
Gadahfi: Social media users from Northern Nigeria have attacked British Broadcasting Corporation (Hausa Service) for publishing a picture of King Salman of Saudi Arabia shaking hands with German Chancellor, Angela Merkel.
BBC Hausa had on Tuesday morning published the picture of the duo together on its online platform. “Saudi King Salman emphasizes Germany's importance to freedom of expression,” the photo was captioned.
But some commentators from Northern Nigeria accused the British media organisation of ‘undermining Islam’ by using a picture that shows the custodian of Islam’s holiest place in a handshake with a woman.
Some also accused it of ‘working for Jews’ and warned the staff to be cautious of what they called the “wrath of God”.
Earlier on Monday, social media users from Northern Nigeria lashed out at people of Niger Republic, accusing them of losing their faith and being on the verge of becoming infidels after online Hausa medium, Damagaram Post of Niger Republic, published a picture of a lady from Damagaram participating in a beauty pageant.
In the photo, a girl identified as Maimouna Harouna was asked to be voted as ‘Miss Zinder’.
The post, however, didn’t go down well with a number of Northern Muslims, some of whom quickly condemned and described the action as “haram”, an act forbidden under Islamic law.
Before then, 26-year-old Hausa actress, Rahama Sadau, was accused of stirring controversy and blasphemy after she shared some of her photos on social media wherein she wore a backless dress, which brought out her curves.
The development generated controversy with several conservative Muslims lashing out at her for going against Islamic tenets of dressing.
I don't really care if dangote or anybody is granted presidential whatsoever, but my question remain why would a country stopped producers from exporting goods? Its sounds weird to me..Somebody pls explain to me if I am missing something
StagethemTVee: One crazy thing about this situation is neither side is right all the way. They just need to pause for a minute and really LISTEN to each other. The Government should listen to the pulse of the people and learn why and how things went wrong while the End Sars organizers should also look back and see where they missed it and how the mayhem and looting could have been avoided.
Endsar protesters didn't stop police from performing their duty, which is to arrest the thugs.
Pls somebody enlightened me..I thought the border closure was only for imported rice, and other goods manufactured in west Africa are allowed to come in..And I also never knew exporters are stopped from exporting goods, what country does that?you stop your country from exporting? Somebody pls enlighten me.

Because he is a music artist makes him lose his empathy for the downtrodden like you right?whenever a failed leader is questioned ,that simply implies that the person is interested in politics by your own little mind right?

Miracle2020: can you borrow me your mother sense? We will never allow political coup to succeed in Nigeria. Useless fools. Buhari will be there till 2023 and there after a Yoruba man take over. Corrupt pdp politicians will never get our treasury again.

KEVIND: Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador says it is too early to congratulate Joe Biden, president-elect of the United States.
After securing more than the 270 required votes to win the presidency, leading American media organisations projected Biden as the next US president.
But President Donald Trump, who has refused to concede the election, filed multiple lawsuits to challenge Biden’s victory.
Speaking with reporters on Saturday, Obrador said he would wait for “all legal issues” in the US presidential election to be resolved before congratulating the winner.
“We don’t want to be imprudent. We don’t want to act lightly and we want to respect people’s self-determination and rights,” Obrador said.
“We have a very good relationship with the two candidates. President Trump has been very respectful with us and we have reached very good agreements, and we thank him because he has not interfered and has respected us. And the same goes for Biden.”
Canadian leader Justin Trudeau; Irish Prime Minister Micheál Martin; Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison and Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari are among the world leaders who have congratulated Biden.
misano: The 1999 Constitution of Nigeria did not specifically ascribe a clear cut decision making role to the office of the vice president, so I will not wrap this piece around his office as Nigeria’s vice president. An office that has been described in some quarters as ‘spare tire’, “senior personal assistant to the president with fat salary’’, the description is endless. As such I will not be addressing you much as VP in this piece due to your almost none existing role in the constitution, I will be talking to you as one who can be Nigeria's president one day.
So, as the presidential election draws nearer, the question before a few Nigerians is this: Will Osinbanjo make a good president? The painful answer is NO. He is no different from the current president. If you didn't like the Buhari's administration, please you most likely not like Osinbanjo's administration.
Yemi Osinbajo had continually defended some inglorious policies of the Federal Government giving excuses for them. One example is in his recent outing to the launch of a book to commemorate the 80th birthday of Olusegun Osoba, Osinbajo told the world that it is wrong for people to insinuate that the president is protecting herdsmen and Boko Haram groups. So, if the president is not protecting them, then the question will be ‘what is he doing about the situation’?
As a politician who might have a dream to lead Nigeria as a president, Nigerians expected Prof. Yemi Osinbajo to take actions concerning the many challeges facing the country or at least tell the president of his displeasure at the rate in which innocent Nigerians are being killed needlessly across the country.
No part of Nigeria is currently immune against the hunger in the land, the attacks on the highways where people are kidnapped, police brutality, girls being raped and killed almost on a daily basis.
Osinbajo is a technocrat and that was why a lot of Nigerians were excited when he became the number two citizen of the nation. People then heaved a sign of relieve that at least for a change we have a VP who will not be a stooge and would be a departure from what the country used to have in persons of VPs but with the actions of Osinbajo on the current mayhem in the country it is clear that he is no different from the current president. The country has never had it this bad in terms of oppression, safety from killer police officers, unemployment & insecurity.
Need I remind Osinbajo the story of Easter in the Bible; she fasted, prayed and moved. She spoke out. If she had fasted and prayed and remained in her chamber, the Jews would have been extinct today. What is Osinbajo afraid of? Who is he afraid of? If you ceased to be the VP of Nigeria today, I am 100% sure you can’t go hungry for the rest of your life. I saw you prayed at Pa. Reuben Fasoranti’s residence, really? The Bible says prayer without work is dead on arrival.
He is been carefully not to lost his support from north and even the president himself. It's called tactics, and you should know this.
Trapnews: So much for a man fighting for the common man, the comments here are unbelievable. Nigerians are ingrates. You all deserve the kind of leaders you have.
I am fully in support of this movement. But Sowore has been warned to stay off,he is a politician and we don't want any politician..No sorry for him
Moferere: should be shot at sight? As much as I am not in support of another protest, bet it with me, write this down, any day they protest, someone close he will be will be shot with stray bullet.
