Dansuqi: How come obaseki own is scanty? You are pained
Have you see Obaseki in Esan l Land yet?well Obaseki does not share money, and beside he is doing ward to ward campaign not local government campaign like your acid pouring cultist fake pastor is doing.
Dansuqi: We are not interested. Majority are with pastor
Majority of your household I guess..I am from Esan,I knw what's happening in Esan. Tell your fake acid pouring pastor to stop sharing money and see if up to 100 people will attend has rally.
kahal29: Contrary to what you, Obaseki and his other online supporters want us to believe the crowd of people actually hailed them. They were neither humiliated nor booed.... See the original video before the doctoring as evidence and proof.
duwdu: I'm not a local and do not belong to any political party, but history tells me since the APC came into national prominence, it had been winning most elections at the state level, while the PDP has won most elections at the national level, in Edo State.
That's the reasonable conclusion to draw from the fact that Mr. Oshiomhole won in everyone of the 18 LGA's in Edo State — including Esan land — in 2012 as he was re-elected the Governor of the state on his usual platform of their party, the APC.
In addition, all the current elected and serving members of the State House of Assembly — including of course those representing Esan land — were elected on the platform of the APC. So, where's your boast coming from? And for good measure, the coming election is at the state level where the APC has been the decisive winner in recent memory. So, again, where's your boast/assertion coming from?
I'm not claiming to be a soothsayer on the coming election for the governorship seat in Edo State, but analyses like I've stated above clearly do not support your worldview.
But hey, what doc I know, right?
Good luck!
........ P34c3
I don't knw where you got your statistics from, but in any case let me use your statistics to prove why Esan will vote for PDP.Your analysis proved that Esans are not partisan, we rather vote for candidate instead of party. And as it stands today who do you think is more saleable between POI that's not tested yet and Obaseki that has been tested?Of course Obaseki..Let's even assure my above reasons won't count, now see why Esan will vote PDP...
1,Obaseki has promised to handover to Esan man,i think that's appealing enough to support him.
2.Oshiomole is no more in the good book of Esan people, I guess you watched the video of what transpired at iguenben palace yesterday?
Fine, you may say Oshiomole is not the one contesting, but obviously Oshiomole has took it upon himself to make sure iyamu wins,so voting against APC is a way of punishing Oshiomole for disrespecting our monarchs and by extension Esanland.Hope this helps
Dansuqi: How will pdp win 90% of esan votes when apc won 40% in 2016 and 2019
APC won 40% in 2016/19 fine. Now most people in APC have decamped to PDP in Esanland, and beside that most Esan people are aware of Esan Agenda, which is to produce next Governor by 2024,and Obaseki has promised that,so for now we don't care if he fulfil his part of the bargain, but we will fulfill ours by voting for him.
ToshAT3: Will Edo Voters Accept Obaseki’s Citizen-Centric Offer?
As the race for who occupies the government house of Edo State after the September 19, 2020 gubernatorial elections hots up, the incumbent is dangling before the electorate the chance to take power to themselves by voting into office a leader who is citizen minded. Lovers of democracy, irrespective of party affiliations are desirous of seeing Edo people rise up to the occasion with their votes, come September 19, 2020. Those who have access to the promises of the incumbent Governor of Edo State and flagbearer of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP in the coming elections are delighted with his position that “Making Edo Great Again is a mass movement for the popular participation of all Edo people for rapid, sustainable development based on a circular economy and sound financial management.” The general feeling amongst Nigerians is that the politicians have held sway for too long and that the time has come for the people to take their destiny in their hands by voting pro-people aspirants into positions of authority. And because the Benin Kingdom have always been at the vanguard of civilization, Nigerians want to see this clearly demonstrated in Edo State with the coming gubernatorial elections. The people must speak with the votes to take their freedom from unscrupulous politicians and godfathers, feelers from political activists indicate. Interestingly, in Obaseki’s manifesto, in which he pledged commitment to “citizen participation and government of accountability, he invites the people to join him in the quest to “Making Edo Great Again” (MEGA). Drawing from his experience in governance and investment banking, the MEGA manifesto highlights six strong promises to the people of Edo State. They include Citizen-Centric Leadership, Economy & Industrialization, Infrastructure, Government as an Enabler, Technology & Data Driven Governance, and Governance Reforms. Looking at the recently launched app called Edo MEGA, one is tempted to believing that the offering is appealing to Edo State voters, particularly as the manifesto draws from proof-points of the dividends of democracy that the people are reaping from Obaseki’s first tenure, now drawing to a close. It is in the public domain that the incumbent governor of Edo State, HE Godwin Obaseki has been at daggers drawn with his predecessor in office, Adams Oshiomole over issues of hijacking governance and godfatherism. It is easy to understand why the average Edo voter will align with the current governor. The odious issues of ill-governance and godfathers have partnered to hold good governance by the jugular and defraud the people of the dividends of democracy pan Nigeria. Even active participants in the game of politics in Nigeria agree that the stranglehold of godfatherism is the most singular threat to democratic and good governance in Nigeria. So, whoever, dangles the juice of citizen-centric governance is most likely to have the people behind him, mostly if there is any little evidence to buttress the claim, as Obaseki has. Proof of his ability to lead a people oriented government include, massive education reforms, tagged Edo Best and his clearance of the outstanding salaries and emoluments due to civil servants and pensioners in Edo State. It will be recalled that Stephen Oshawo, Chairman, Ward 10 of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Etsako West Local Government Area of Edo State, which pulled the rugs from under Oshiomhole’s feet as national chairman of the party, by suspending him from the party, disclosed that while the deposed national chairman was governor of Edo State, civil servants and pensioners went cap in hand for their due. According to Oshawo, “Oshiomhole did not pay my pensions for eight months during his tenure as governor of Edo State, but it took Obaseki less than one month of assumption of office to clear it.” Testimonies like this which resonate across Edo State are what watchers consider will sway the vote casting by the electorate come September 19, 2020. And with Obaseki offering citizen participation and accountability, it is an offer that political analysts consider would be too tempting for the people of Edo State to turn down. According to the manifesto, Obaseki promises a massive action against poverty with deliberate efforts to make every Edo citizen rich through agriculture, infrastructure and transportation. He further avers that, “my mission today, just as it was four years ago, remains to spearhead the transformation which is required to pull our people out of poverty.” The incumbent governor while attempting to show respect to the citizenry acknowledges that “Edo people are very enlightened and politically savvy, much more than most of us politicians give them credit for.” Beaming with optimism that Edo people will take his good offer by voting massively for the People’s Democratic Party, PDP in the coming elections, he noted, “This election is about the promise of Edo.” As events unfold towards the Edo 2020 gubernatorial elections, it would be interesting to see to what extent the electorate aligns with Obaseki on his stance that “we must set out to consolidate the project of building a new Edo State, where true democracy thrives.”
duwdu: I yam not understanding again ooo... The Monarch says he's the paramount owner of Esan land....
Is this the same Esan land some have repeatedly claimed on here is the strongest foot/stronghold of the PDP in Edo State?
Can a kind soul please educate an outsider such as yours truly?
........ P34c3
first of all Oshiomoles late wife is from irrua..Remember last month osho started his campaign from irrua. And the ojirua wanted to honour him with chieftaincy title of Esan land, the other kings sent a message that ojirua has no right to do that..That's why it took Oshiomole some time before he went back to Esan land for campaign. I am from Esan, I can tell you without missing words that PDP will win 90percent of Esan votes.Take this to the bank.
Top1gun: Don't worry another person from Esan land will come tell you how foolish your submission is then you will reduce your %to 70 till you admit you are left with 3% vote for Obaseki.
Stop being foolish. Esan Kings had issue with Oshiomole and you expect their subjects to vote for him,you must be dreaming.
osydennyz: 90% of the people from Esan are solidly behind the PDP... they've always believed in the institution... unlike APC which is a gathering of power grabbers and criminals...
Don't mind him, can't you see I didn't quote him again?
Mo3891: He was a government consultant in revenue collection at public parks he collected Hackney permit, LGA land use charges for markets and parks, as NURTW levy, with thousands of workers
.
And that earned him so much money to build hotel? Is it not obvious he was a government of his own? Many university professor don't have half of the money that guy has,yet you think it's OK to continue like that..This is why Nigeria refused to developed, a lot of Nigerian supports nonsense too much.
There are Political Mentors and there are Political protege
Never confuse Political rascality of Obaseki as a fight against Godfatherism, infact he is installing himself as a violent Godfather
Refusal to innuagurate 14 elected lawmakers is Godfatherism
Sacking Commissioner who didn't decamp to PDP is Godfatherism
Plotting the removal of your former boss as APC national chairman is Godfatherism
Demolishing Kabaka's Hotel, and Chief James Ibori's GRA house in Benin is Gangsterism
Destruction and vandalism of Edo Assembly Complex is Godfatherism
Sacking council chairmen for not decamping is Godfatherism
Conniving with Ameachi to terminate Captain Idahosa's NIMASA security contract which he employs hundreds of edolite only for Ameachi to fix Rivers people
.
I only have one question for you. What work is kabaka doing that earned him so much money to build hotel?
Modarun: He hehe from singing "Obaseki pepper dem o" to this. The biggest mistake APC made was allowing Oshomhole pick a candidate. Even as it stands the APC chairman in Edo said APC doesn't even have a candidate.
hahaha, then go hear am,abi den say they don't want good thing? A man that's working you said you don't want him..After the election they will finally realized that Edo is truly not Lagos.
Judeerons32: Where did you see the monarch. The onojies were seated in front of him.he had to look sideways outside to see d heckler. The video of the guy been dragged outside is online. If you don't know let me educate you the Ojuromi was dethroned for supporting Ize iyamu yes the same POI and also slapping a woman for supporting Obaseki. Apc likely will not win Edo Central it has always been a pdp zone just like the south east. But the margin will be negligible. Oshiomhole unfortunately for you is not contesting. Poi is and he is likeable in Esan land. I ask you what has Obaseki done from Okaigben to Ewatto to igueben.
Which POI is likeable in Esan? Don't let me insult you oh..For your info The Ojuromi slapped the woman for voting for APC instead of PDP,so POI is not even in the picture here..You asked what Obaseki has done in Esan,That should be our concerns not urs,we are OK with his performance in Esanland..
Judeerons32: Obviously it wasn't a monarch who challenged his explanation. Obaseki supporters were all over town on over drive with propaganda. There entire slim chance is based on massive turn out and landslide in Esan land. So they would lie and do anything to preserve that zone. Unfortunately there is only so much lie can do
U knw nothing about Esan land..The one that challenged him is the king of Ewatto,Stop fighting a lose battle..By the way,Where you guys expecting Esan votes? When your oga openly disgraced our monarch? You must be dreaming.
IamWonderful: Waoooh inviable Ebonyi fake news dispensers are really working round the clock to project evil always against APC, just wait and see your doom staring at you in the face
Aladdin1: How can you be peddling rumours.we all watched apc campaign team in the palace of the onojie of igueben been well received.this is my problem with obaseki and his pdp minions instead of capaigning with his achievement as governor.you people would resort to lies, slander, defamation and calumny.its really bad.
