kimbraa:What is the essence of religion and faith, if having the two makes no difference to ones disposition and public image? Faith without works is dead. Have you not seen your reflection this morning? Yes! Every one of those poor beggars queueing to collect the crumbs left over by the behemoth is a carbon copy of you with less. The way your church treats that nameless indivdual who may or may have not been a tithe giver is the very same way your church will treat you or your children should they lack more than what they need. In the bank of "God" you can only make cash deposits but cant withdraw, or question its crazy growth... Where do you think this anti-populist movement was born? It was born in your chuch by digruntled church goers who saw no alleviation to their plight dispite handing over fistfull upon fistful of Naira to the behemoth called church. Then what is the essence of making offerings, when there is no difference in your situation and the situation of those on your right and left? You need the cash, yet you hand it over, a sick needs the cash yet you hand it over... Your spouse, relative, friend; you hand it all over. And the one who is given does not ask if you have given rights to where rights are due; for indeed many have rights upon your wealth, starting from those closest. Those who read the Taura and New Testament know and advocate this. The pastor accepts your toil in the name of God and you reciprocate with an exaggerated gesture of contentment and confidence. Then what is the essence of faith when it is blind to the needs of the suffering and exalts the greed of the land owner? Is a pastor not a land owner? How many of Gods' prophets owned land? Yes we know of David, Solomon... Just two out of dozens? And these two happen to be monarchs... Where are the land owners in the bible? Men who built monastries upon monastries? You cant find them in the bible because they are not there. Do you need a visual representation of the bible since you seem lost? Look at the jews... They were around centuries before you. How many rabbis have their own synagogues? How many synogogues are there in Jerusalem? When Jesus said that he will tell you to move from him, he does not know you, you think he was joking You are mentally ill if you believe that Jesus when he returns will rest a night in one of your million pagan shrines. You think Jesus preaches lechery? Men using the wealth of others to seduce the wives and children of their congregation? You think the jews really accept you as followers of Jesus despite many of you being opportunistic criminals? Jesus had issues with the jews becsuse of their love of material wealth, so I can only imagine the issues Jesus will have with you and your gods in robes called pastors. You are nothing but a pagan apologist. Even when proof is given to you youre ready to defend wrongdoing, or are you somewhere living under a rock oblivious to the many crimes of your pastors? Youre a liar. InshaAllah the reckoning is near and you will be exposed. This life is fleeting so take and do whatever you want with it. But the party of God will enjoy for eternity in bliss. |
marvin905:Madness is using the peoples money to lavish on personal property and prostitutes, and when exposed for malpractice blames the devil. You are blind to your own madness and yet want to expose someone elses... If Jesus is your father, then where are his properties you have inherited, his concubines that bore his generations? If truly the man lived in such austerity and meagerness, why was he denying himself the fruits of earth that Nigerian pastors continue to enjoin upon themselves as though God commanded them to do so? You are on but a new religion with Jesus's name being copyrighted to endorse money laundering and embezzlement. Jesus and the lives of Nigerian pastors are diametrically opposed, that much is 100% certain. But why are you surprised, isnt there a tacit concensus that everything we do in Nigeria is grossly aberrant and selfish? If Jesus had 1% of the wealth amassed by Nigerian pastors, then truly we are safe to say he lived well as did his followers. Jesus lived and died a popper and here is one of the reasons his name demands so much respect globally, even amongst his enemies and strongest critics till date. Jesus never allowed riches to contiminate or give the perception of contaninating his mission. Did he build a single house? Rent a hotel? Travel in class? Hmmmm In Nigeria we have "prophets" who use the wealth of others to do all the above. Many even borrow money from high interest lenders in order to maintain the lifestyle of prosperity; with tithe money going towards loan repayment and interest. No pastor in Nigeria is willing to exchange earthly pleasures for legacy of such magnitude and this is why when they die their names and works are quickly forgotten, even by those who loved them most and swore by their miracle. Maybe we can blame it on Jesus' lack of understanding of the old Testament. Nigerian pastors reference chapter after chapter of the OT whenever a new venture needs financing. Ventures that promise to bring millons more into the fold of faith. But never do they use Jesus' example, since such ways cannot be monetized. Jesus is only used when pastors want to lull their sheep into sleepiness and servitude, like hypnosis. "Jesus never fought back" "Jesus was always gentle". God knows that most of us are liars, and our love of wealth surpass of love for Him and so He has Wisely given us a measuring stick to judge acts supposedly done in His name in magnanimous personalities like Jesus. An act like building a church, supposedly noble in name but can it hold up in deeds? How many churches is needed to bring people into faith? Since when has the Message been overided by structures? If churches are so inextricable to the message of Jesus, let us feast our eyes on churches built by Jesus... In 35 years he lived under constant persecution, his chuch must be the mecca for christians. Not a single chuch will you find and that is because church's mean nothing if the men who attend them are wicked. God has given church's no relevance yet Nigerian pastors make them the focus of the call to faith. So who is fooling who?! The life of Jesus and the life of Muhammad (pbutb) were exactly the same. Both worshipped God in His biggest chuch, planet earth and both placed no emphasis on buildings and assets, things that we know pollute faith and deeds. Until recently building churches was the sole responsibility of the government and christian authority in Europe, but now everyone has one. Are we then to conclude everyone is faithful? You need to wake up before death wakes you up by force. |
Boyprevail:No Daddy Freeze will not beat you or even touch you. But when poverty has beaten you and you cannot bank on a single kobo you have been saving for years in the bank of "God" you will know what it means to have been scammed. |
Praktikals:Arab spring was foolishness too... Never try to stop the oppressed. |
46O1CE:Hey whats your problem? Stop being a bully! Are you a fraud apologist?! Do you believe a criminal has more rights than a hard working, tax contributing citizen? To OP, report those mofos. You have your life to live. If they cant live in peaceful coexistence with fellow tenants give them some much needed attention, FROM AUTHORITIES. DONT FOR ONE SECOND allow yourself to be victimised. My only advice is that you approach the matter with adequate diligence and caution as you do not want repraisals. Be mature about it and teach those career lacking mofos a valuable lesson. |
Greenarrow01:You silly goat, who are the gov, are they not you and I?? Can they not tamper judgement with mercy? If ppl like you continue opening their mouthes there will be a mass exit of employers and businesses... What becomes of a govt with no economy? Do you know? Shut up, sit down and save us your rhetoric. |
Greenarrow01:You my friend are a fuckwit! Seriously you just defended the demolition of all erring enterprises. Tell me, which comes first, development or legislation? Where was your facking laws when that area was arid? Laws can indeed be moulded, so stfu! Gov only pay attention to developed lands while ignoring miles of bush. Who develops these lands before gov suddenly decides to impose legislation? You are an aimless slowpoke, inane observer. Nigerians and foreigners need a naija gov that is pro development and enterprise. |
Daeylar:She was also a victim blamer and so would you. Getting hit by a bus and then blaming the driver does not erase getting hit by a bus. Prevention is the way! |
kzubyar:Whoever you are, do not make jest of our beloved religion. Though you might consider your intentions just and worthy of acceptance into our hearts your manor of approach is disgusting to any sane Muslim with knowledge of his or her religion. Translating the Quran in order to prove a point should be done in verbatim. You cannot add your own interpretation to what is traditionally accepted as translation. The Quran is not a play thing. Your translation of this verse is cringe worthy: 22:15] If anyone thinks that GOD cannot support him in this life and in the Hereafter, let him turn completely to (his Creator in) heaven, and sever (his dependence on anyone else). This explicit verse is referring to our holy prophet; admonishing those with him. Its correct translation is: "Whoever should think that Allah will not support [Prophet Muhammad] in this world and the Hereafter - let him extend a rope to the ceiling, then cut off [his breath], and let him see: will his effort remove that which enrages [him]?" (22:15) Also always quote references from the Quran, give it the respect it timelessly deserves. |

Can free trade be blamed for the flood of Nigerian migrants into Europe and America? Is Nigeria doing enough to protect its indigenous industries? From protectionist subsidies of Europe and America which allow big conglomerates to dump surplus products in countries with high cost of production thus stealing jobs meant for the youths. Buharis agricultural vision cannot work without the sort of levies that Trump is advocating. How much of our chickens and goats are sold on European markets? Of our Textiles? Shoes? Since Nigeria is a great dumping ground for everything foreign, it should be given a special status to export its goods without punitive hindrances. However, EU forces Nigeria to sign pacts that forbid protective levies. Jobs are the key to ending mass migration. Nigeria must be able to maintain healthy industries without fear of cheap imports. Protectionism worked for Germany after WW2 and can work for any country. We need to get strong on protection; love for your brother what you love for yourself. We need to allow our youths to fabricate European products. China started its entire economy on building fakes and imitations, so too Taiwan and Vietnam. Now theyre able to engineer new competitive products that have global customer base. We Nigerians can also imitate. Then learn from imitations. There is not one model or one route to success, one must forge his or her own. |
GavelSlam:OK. |
chukzyfcbb:Who is talking about me? The naija banking system needs to fail. |
soberdrunk:You must not know what they call a psychopath. All her emotions are manufactured. She has no feelings, zero love, can switch in a second, murder your ass on the whim. This man is doing the right thing. |
Shame on all of you useless banks; poverty breeding, arrogant scumbags. May your losses double in the incoming years. 12 billion is small, we pray for 12 trillion. ![]() |
Fires that should by default be gutting and burning down presidential villas and national assemblies are busy adding more frustration to the already pressed and impoverished. Nigeria, it is time we give sense to these unexplained spontaneous infernos. We must educate these fires, guide them, sponsor them and instruct them to be the worry of those in power and not the pain of the victims of those at the helm of power. An entire market burnt to the ground and no accountability? No legislated compensation? How often must this happen before we feel sincere sympathy and prevent future destruction of livelihoods? |
Stupid question deserving an equally stupid answer. How can a country begin to appraise its education when every institution but the 'National Assembly' is grossly under funded? Nigerians are always asking the wrong questions. A better question would be does Nigeria's FG give any respect to human rights? One of such rights is a right to equal education for all irrespective of social class. Does Nigeria enforce the values of human rights? If so politicians would not send their children to school abroad in fear of reprisal. We deserve better. |
Lucky escape. |

RETIREDMUMU:You were born when again?! Islam is the fastest growing religion on earth. Forget dogma, this is a fact. Xianity died during Europes renaissance years; churces today are but musuems and rituals are used for charade parties like the recent Gala night. And before you start spewing trash, xtianity was murdered by the very same people that yoked it around your enslaved necks. Allahu Akbar! Islam can never be so sullied. Continue celebrating days that never were while we enjoy our glorious history - 1400 years and counting. |

Are you harming me or harming yourself? My Open Letter To ... Banks Section: Graft, Nepotism As an employed banker you might feel the array of dilemmas and challenges facing Nigeria are not in your scope of vision, that you're a cut above the rest or maybe you're still relishing your escape from nationwide poverty. But let me remind you, or warn you that this disease called destitution is only recovering from your success - in the homes, schools, Universities, streets of the nation where millions of short-changed youths languish about in the hope of attaining relief. But you know such confidence is feeble and myopic. You know that there are simply not enough industries to tender this burgeoning youth population, your just-about-stable demographic are far from forced redundancy and some of your mates are still awaiting their big break. Yet here we are, adding millions more to a distressed job market. Lend me your audience The problems faced by the youth is very much your problem. Remember your children will be there one day, competing with millions of other qualified youngsters, many having waited decades for a chance to showcase their talent. Your children will face such challenges as staving off "possible" employment and becoming an entrepreneur, and deciding whether or not crime pays better than unemployment. Everyday choices of todays youth. Or should they all become petty traders, with kiosks polluting every nook and cranny of the cosmopolitan? In a last-ditch effort to resist generational poverty? Or do you think government agencies, parastatals, armed forces, NGOs, conglomerates and traditional agro-industries can bear the weight of our growing young population, expected to eclipse China by 2040? Have you not heard of, or seen the streching morning queues outside bakeries of disillusioned graduates competing for day pays of ₦2k? Graduates? Do you honestly believe we are safe from gripping poverty and accompanying crime wave? I left the United Kingdom and my career as a Network Security Analyst because I foresaw a Nigeria in total ruin. Call me a patriot or a believer, but I must boast of one thing; I have never met a young Nigerian like myself. My genuine commitment to this cause is indescribable. BUILDING a company instead of buying show piece cars and renting hotels so I can be a stalwart, an ambassador of hard work and persistence; an indigenous employer, empowerer! I do not have the powerful connections, political relatives; cannot offer you shady contracts. But are those qualities requisites of development and nation building? Many Nigerian youths cant even tell you the astronomic cost of building materials, specialist labor and govt levies; concerns that await them after employment. How many individuals of my nature have approached you? No, you'd rather lend your audience to 'men in black' than consider the welfare of the next generation, your childrens generation. I have bank statements that list my expenditure and financial commitment within the last 1 year; ₦45 million. Sent photos of proof; you sent a banker to meet with me at my venue to confirm. My 1 acre of prime real estate in Lagos as collateral wasn't even enough. I spent more of my own money and thus reduced the asking amount, from ₦40 million to ₦15 million. If all fails, the current exchange rate is favorable. I can't bare the thought of losing my business so will decide to work off the repayment. These are all practical measures to safeguard your interests. What else do you want? No, you'd rather ignore such plight and pretend you are living in an economic boom, attending to flamboyant pastors and ignoble civil officials as if they exclusively have the dexterity to understand loan repayment protocols. And yet you complain of non-performing loans... Do you not see beyond your pay check? Every day of your inaction is a day closer to inevitable gloom and widespread disenfranchisement. We need industries, not charities, not a church for every block, not empty houses used by some politicians to launder billions. As a banker, the power of industry creation is in your hands. You are the banking institution, you are the policies; the yes and no. And you will hold yourself responsible for the disintegration of the economy. Nigeria only has a handful of billionaires; people that can inject adequate capital expediently, its counterparts have them by the ton. Why? Because their bankers took action, on time, and created industries that bore industries through wealth creating schemes, youth empowering projects. Nigeria has the Mark Zuckerberg and Bill Gates, but it doesn't have the belief. Our nation is racing towards cataclysmic economic depression and it will forever haunt me if I did nothing. I apologize if at times I sounded personal, that's just me being me; hurt and demoralized. I hope the day does not come when you will look back at this letter as prophetic and not the intended aerial observation. I am not a beggar, just a concerned citizen. Thank You. |
