softboi10:What you have said is true though and I have two blood brothers that were once in that situation. One of them later went to learn vocational skills and after some months he started working on his own and got a volunteer offer to work for free at 32 years. After closing work daily he resumes to his personal business for close to two years before he later got a good-paying job. But the reason for his delay in graduation was that he started school very late and got delayed admission into University. The other one was our firstborn, when he was jobless at 36 he learned Webdesign after which he started designing on Fiverr and later advanced into coding. I know people are having challenges over the age issue which at times could be beyond their control. It could be as a result of family issues or their parent's mentality. I wasn't supposed to have spoken that way in my previous post but the way the Elzaczaky2019 guy spoke made me angry and got me to react instead of responding or ignoring his post. To those affected by the age barrier as a result of factors beyond your control I pray God opens your mind to see other opportunities more beneficial than this NNPC recruitment and don't rule out volunteering even if it is to end up doing other petty business after work so as to be able to compete favorably where you actually fit in. |
ElZackzacky2019:Thanks for making us know your mind. You don't need to blame the system always for your parent's fault. Ideally in this century, a graduate that has a purposeful life would have something doing at the age of 28years which should make him/her qualify for posts above graduate trainee level. So, you mean NNPC was not fair enough to put the limit for GT at 28. Why do you think the cap for NYSC is 30years? If you graduate from secondary school at 18, got admission into OAU or Lautech at 20, you graduate at 26 and finish NYSC at 27. So definitely you are qualified for the recruitment as GT in as much as you didn't graduate with anything less than a 2:1 but if you have made good use of your life between those breaks you would have been engaged in something meaningful that would have given you an edge over those kids below 24 years but that is not the way it is. Even some of those kids have added more value to their life than you have. The fact that you didn't make proper use of your life does not give you the right to blame the system for your problem. Please if you want to prove to me that the system is at fault and not that you are truly an irresponsible person tell me why someone above 28years shouldn't be applying for the EH role. |
Olamsoh:That's a better alternative. |
Olamsoh:Before you make an assertion, you give us a basis for coming to that conclusion. Apart from HR, Finance and Computer science graduates, which other field has more graduate employed than the Science/engineering? Problem with Nigeria is that we have few manufacturing companies in Nigeria. |
hayesconcept:I don't seem to get your message. Did i say i didn't make it to the interview stage? I'm only saying there could be an element of truth in the story of APL being released. It is human nature to believe things they want to hear so i don't see anything wrong with you being angry at my comment. Best of luck to you sir. |
Whether we believe or not, APL might have been released. I remember this on-going shell recruitment, when some of us are yet to get feedback about whether we have qualified for next stage or not we realised that some people have actually done final interview. The funny thing is that some people till date do not believe that ODVI has been sent to some people. NNPC might have actually started sending APL, but people will still think it is rumour till after 2021 just as some people are still asking if NNPC has conducted interview. I wish myself and every other expectants best of luck in life. ![]() |
Toluchenko:God bless you. Nobody knows what the outcome of this movement will be, but the only option we have is either to keep quiet or make everyone know what's going on and monitor the recruitment process. If we keep quiet, more interview will continue going on underground and in the end they would remove the names of most of those on Merit list. But if we shout out it is either they are cautious of their action or they ignore us. But most of the guys saying our shouting will amount to nothing are those i believe have someone inside processing it for them and they are afraid that if we shout out, things might not work out well in their favour. So they want us to remain silent but we will never remain silent. We are going to let everyone know what's going on and in the end if it works out in our favour, good, and if not we will always remember we rose up at one time to prevent injustice/corruption. #NNPCisascam, #Tape #enoughisenough |
Grupo:Boss, this your assumption is not valid. I used to think this way before until I started auditing big firms and realised some of this MD's/CEO's/BigMen actually run their twitter and linkedIn account personally. be guided while assuming |
Donas11:@bolded, in every competitive race no one knows the outcome except the decision maker. You might have thought your performance was outstanding but did you see that of your competitor? whether runs or no runs, there can never be anything like absolute confidence. |

Take Action Now It is no longer news that everybody is technically nobody. A large number of us depend on the government to take care of virtually every aspect of our lives forgetting over 180 million people exists in the country having same impression. Developed nations are what they are today because every individual takes responsibility for his/her immediate environment. The youths are the drivers of growth, whether positive or negative. In the pursuit of a better Nigeria, Azeez Ozigi is set to release Fightland to motivate the youth to take positive actions and has decided to drop the movie trailer today 25/07/2019 to commemorate the passing out ceremony of 2018 batch B corp member and remind them to take initiatives instead of waiting in perpetuity for government to better The growth of the nation lies in our hand, it is our responsibility. The youth is set to lead. Long live Nigeria. Long live NYSC. Kindly watch on youtube here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vm68P2lKDUY |

WhiteLavender:Thanks for drawing my attention to that. The reason I said that is because most company hire an entry level employee on probation. But as others have said, his contract letter is his best guide. |

There is an adage in Yoruba that goes thus "ori bi be ko ni Ogun ori fi fo" which can be translated as "Beheading is not the cure to an headache" I went to visit one of my uncle yesterday at magodo. On getting to his home, I met him and his friend discussing about omonile(land grabbers) in Lagos and how he fell victim of their scheme by buying two different lands already purchased by someone else in Lekki at different period of time which made him conclude that he would never buy a land or landed property in Lagos state again. I kept quiet listening to their discussion until I was asked to comment on their discussion. I realized from his words that he had the desire to buy a land in Lagos but he was only afraid of not being scammed again so I asked him, how many ladies has he taken home that later disappointed him? He answered my question with a question by asking what did I mean? with a visible sign of anger on his face, I apologized to him that I didn't mean to be rude and gave him proper insight on how to secure a property in Lagos state and he was convinced to the extent he fixed next weekend for inspection and realised where he got it wrong. A lot of people have fallen victim of forfeiting their properties just because they didn't know there is family dispute on the land they purchased, the land does not have proper documentation, etc. For you not to fall victim of forfeiting your landed property, consult a reliable real estate consultant. It doesn't cost you anything. We have got dispute free and titled properties in Lagos, Abuja, Portharcourt. Contact Yusuf through Whatsapp/phonecall on 07033452954 for enquiry. |
