From all indications, seems likely to be a panel interview - will find out then.

Congrats in advance. Please, when did you send your documents to the mail?

Butterflies in my stomach. I have been reliving the moment I get notified of my employment. Will i shout? Will i seat or kneel on the ground crying and thanking God? Who would I call 1st? Is it my mum who has been praying like she is the one applying grin or my best friend who has always been there for me, or my fiancé?

I have been day dreaming of the moment i get notified, i have started calculating what i would do with my 1st salary. New friends to make( smart friends, the best of the best), futhering my education, establishing my fashion designing school. This is going to be along week. Gosh!...

Well... Work can save me from my thoughts. Thank God for its Monday.

Sorry to say, this is why some people commit suicide.

How will someone plan all his/her life on something not 10% sure? Even if the whole process is 100% fair (totally based on merit) the probability of getting the APL is low. Why then do we have to give our self unnecessary BP by tieing our life to it before its arrival.

I'm just thinking, what better criteria could have been used to measure candidates interest or obsession for the recruitment apart from the number of times they check their portal?

Mind you, after I printed my interview invite, it is only nairaland I have been checking for update.

But trust me on this one.. Besides i have asked for jarus to confirm yesterday n nobody respond or back me up.. So how can one convince u ppl..

Panalyst and Jarus have already said it would be in January, so don't expect them to respond because if they are in line with your position boys on nairaland would insult them.

I believe it will be out this January

Balher is no different from Reno Omokri. Just because one has info of the number of private jets that attended the wedding ceremony or the pictures, doesn't mean he has credible info about NNPC recruitment.

or we can as well say, Reno Omokri has credible info about this NNPC recruiting?

lol, though it is true that balher talks too much but he has never given us a confirmed false information before.

The only men on this forum that have always provided confirmed info on this recruitment are Cavalier, Panalyst, Jarus and Balher. Every other persons with sauces are jokers.

Award should be given to Nigerians, as the MOST FEARFUL PEOPLE IN THE WORLD

You did test 1st of June, Interview 1st and 2nd week in July and you think it's a crime to ask for an update from the corporation 5 months after

Do you think it's normal?

if you think NNPC will cancel the recruitment because people are asking for updates, then i am sorry to say you ...

if you think NNPC is the pinnacle or the best place you can get to career-wise, then i am sorry to say you ...

We truly deserve the kinds of leaders that rule us in Nigeria if these are the kinds of youths we are breeding in this country.

Hello Sir/Ma,

The issue is not about asking questions. If you are actually following events you will know that last month NNPC posted that the recruitment will be concluded soon and when a guy asked question about the recruitment approximately two weeks ago, same reply was given to him.

so now, is spamming NNPC twitter handle the bold way?

We all know the best reply we will get is Soon, so why waste your time spamming the handle?

Indications shows that by January there would be training of new employee, so let's keep calm.

Whether merit or no merit more people would not get APL, so why do we over bother ourselves over what the probability of occuring is less than 10%?

Crime / Re: Lady Disfigures Her Friend's Face Over N950 (graphic Photos) by NOTGOINGDOWN(m): 1:35pm On Dec 03, 2019
MGab25:
A horrible incident has occurred in Umuahia, Abia state after a lady identified as Onyinyechi Abaruo allegedly attacked her friend over money.

The lady reportedly disfigured her friend Chikaodi Umeh's face.

According to the report given by a source close to the ladies, a disagreement over who gets to spend N950 between the ladies led to the attack. It was reported that the incident had occurred on Friday, November 28, after three friends went out for drinks.

It was said that two of the friends, Umeh and Nene, were at the bar together with Umeh's male friend.

Onyinyechi came to join later when Umeh's male friend was about to leave.

Umeh begged her male friend to give her money to entertain Onyinyechi who just arrived.

According to the report, the man gave Umeh N2000 to treat Onyinyechi and at the end of the day, N950 remained from the N2000 which made the ladies get into an argument over who would spend it.

It was gathered that Onyinyechi cornered Umeh and brought out a sharp object to attack her.

950 isn't the root cause. they already have issue before.

Lol. I hope this your supposed reason is to develop the country, right?

Swear that you are not applying because of the work life balance!

It's not bad to apply to NNPC because of money or anything, but don't just tell lies that you are coming there to contribute your quota to the development or advancement of your country. We all know NNPC is not even a serious organization that prioritize hard work. It's just a conduit for siphoning money.

That's your view, please don't force your view on him. Someone might just want NNPC because of connect for his/her biz or to move after some years to other oil firm.

though you are actually right about the work-life balance and kudi sha, that is my own goal too.

One funny thing is that NNPC HR is on this thread viewing all this posts. They will just be smiling that this once don't know anything.

"a scenario was when i went for an assessment centre with one of the Big 4, the HR just jokingly said some of you are on nairaland and you think we will set the same questions that those on nairaland advise you to prepare for. sorry to break your heart, for those of you on Nairaland are lucky we haven't changed our questions yet."

All of you shouting we want to go and call them out on twitter, they already know you are anxious. they have seen our posts on Nairaland.

What are you inquiring about that hasn’t being answered? No organizations will give you a specific date if that’s what you are looking for.

No mind them, they want the kind thing wey someone do me some time ago. When i waited for a month after the final interview with the CEO, which the CEO gave a green light but did not hear from the HR. I started calling every 2 weeks and the HR keeps on telling me before the end of the week she would get back to me, for like 2 months we continued in that pattern till I get a regret mail the third month.

People don't know the more we push people the more the potential for them to fail us or break our heart with lies.

One problem pertaining to Nigerians is that most view things from their perspective alone. This has been a burden that will continue to disturb our progress if not checked.

Applicants believe that it is the recruitment that should top the NNPC management priority list not knowing there are other many issues faced by manangement that outweigh the recruitment.

Sincerely 5 months is not too much na, even small companies that will pay only 100k without upfront will take you through rigorous recruitment processes and yet still spend like 8 months.

Those that have gone through various recruitments would know NNPC has not taken too much time yet, mostly it is those that are new to the game or didn't go through lots of various recruitment before getting a job are impatient.

NB: I am also a hopeful waiting for APL so don't come and tell me i don't know how it feels.

Patience is virtue... shalom

Since My Dad Died, This Thing Happens To Me. Is It Normal. Please Help

Every since I turn 16 have been afraid of death but not for myself but for the people around me. Each time the people I love are not around me. I always think of how they will die and how the news will come to me. Have had dreams about it. My dad died when I was 14, I wasn't close to him but I felt it .... Is this normal or am I the only one

Please if is not, how can I stop it. It's getting out of hand, am unable to live my life properly now

Dear Op,

If you are a Muslim or Christian get closer to your God and read your holy book with your mind. I lost my father at 8, and I've also lost a sister and a brother as well but that is normal in life.

From history you will realise that people have been dying from time immemorial. Death is something that can take anyone at anytime so it can even take you or me now.

Just try to understand that death was created to test us so we can live a great legacy on earth after we leave. Enjoy your life and spend your time in a godly manner while you are alive.

If they die what can you do? If they don't die, what can you do? Only bother about things that are in your control.

From your write up, it is glaring you are not a deep thinker. You only know how to abuse and think people are miserable if they don't achieve this and that at a certain age.

If the lawyer wins this battle, you or your children might still benefit from it. Look at a bigger picture. Why is it that in a saner clime, you don't put you your age on your CV?
Let me paint a picture that graduated from Lautech this year at almost 27 years this year after spending 8 years in school. He will finish NYSC at age 28 and above. And technically, he's been deprived of great opportunities because of age. And he still didn't have the relevant experience to apply for EH positions.

Is NNPC recruiting every year? You are just lucky to qualify for GT because the chance happened to you. Nigeria is not an ideal clime. You can't use what's obtained in Canada where a graduate start his career at 22 in Nigeria. I heard that Poly Ibadan students in some certain courses had to wait for some months before embarking on NYSC. Just because those departments lost their accreditations.

In some schools, you must wait for a year or more before going for NYSC because of backlogs of graduates yet to mobilised for NYSC.

Many people have been unemployed/underemployed for more than 4-5 years despite graduating at the age of 24/25.

In conclusion, dear young man, be reasonable. Our country is in a mess today because those that got opportunities easily in their own times are making it difficult for the younger generation to even start a career at 30.

Noted sir, NNPC is not the only option. Meeting the criteria isn't the same thing as getting the job.

So back to your bigger picture talk, you are not speaking from a logical point. So you believe the big indigenous firms and multinationals that set age limit or academic qualification for entry-level applicants when they want the best heads are stupid, right?

You are not looking at the bigger picture, you are only viewing the issue from your perspective with your entitlement mindset. If you want to help the situation work hard and own a big corporation where you can employ a Ph.D. holder without experience as GT or 40 years old as GT. If you like you can make 80 years the retirement age in your organization, Mr bigger picture.

When I finished NYSC I didn't get ordinary test invite talkless of interview for over 8 months not because of the system alone but majorly because of me.

It is only after you take responsibility for your woes, you would come up with a solution to your problems. If you keep up with the system blame game, your kids would join you in blaming the system instead of harnessing opportunities within the system.

And you mentioned in saner clime they don't include their age, did anyone force you to include your age on your CV. Even companies in that environment have an age limit for an entry-level role, I can help you with examples if you need it. Even in Nigeria people start a career at 22.

If you are unemployed for over 4-5 years and you are doing nothing within that 4-5 years, who is at fault? Don't you have friends that will borrow you 10,000 to start something or even sell your phone to start something?

Bros, even those that meet all requirements that are expecting APL knows the system could still cheat them. The system isn't perfect so you shouldn't try to perfect your life abi?

Leave the system and face what you have control over.

Be responsible sir, and be an advocate of individual responsibility so the system at large could become better.
