My dear friend NOTIMEZONE on this topic of creating a more effective Tele gram group, the creator and major players on this thread are not open-minded. they have their reasons, but after weighing the Pros and the Cons. its a no-brainer that a Tgram group will aid us best. gradually its quite clear there's a gradual exodus from here and contributors are becoming scarce.

it's not like we're going to leave Nairaland, I'm simply saying that Telegram should be our backup plan in case these mods decide to do what they do best.

Telegram is nothing like WhatsApp, it's even better than Nairaland for discussing topics like the stock market. New members will still get to read all old conversations just like on Nairaland.

And Oakpearl should be the one to create the Telegram group since he started this thread, place the invite link on the first page together with the first post.

This actually boosted my optimism and I want to believe that of some others too. I got some form of scholarship though, the deficit is still on the high. My interview date is December 2nd, I'll quote you about the good news.

Apart from the fact that you've been denied before, You did not show a very strong home tie. You could have done that through your current work, if it was better than an NGO. Being with an NGO doesn't really hold water even though you might have been going practical experience. You should have tailored your response on how you'd come back to assist the NGO or create a similar Institute upon completion of your program.

Secondly, students that goes for Cyber Security and Criminology have to possess a little bit of luck in order to get visa approvals. These courses are Intelligence related and revered for special duty. That's why you'd always be asked if you wrote the GRE and whether you deserved the funding and TA. Again, The VOs, FBI, CIA and SSS of the USA somewhat feels like you'd be knowing their secrets once you study an Intelligence related course like yours.

You should have used Abuja since you've been refused at Lagos in the past. Generally, it was a very good transcript, you did well and I'm not uncertain you'd have gotten Approval if it were an Engineering Program. Just an opinion and observation.

Same here and he asked nothing relating to school just where re you going, sponsor, married, Kidd and have you travelled out of the country. Exactly just 4questions. Denied me because he felt like it and it hurts that we can’t question them on this nonsense. I don’t blame them, I blame my country because they feel we are animals here, he can’t do that in his country, deny a student visa based on his subjectiveness and power as VO. I have paid another visa application and did a new DS160. But no appointment in Lagos bad I am considering Abuja because just maybe because of the low rush the Abuja VO will take time and ask questions, Lagos has lime inside and outside with people waiting Nd security treating us like kids. Like someone said better days ahead. Hurts less now.

Sorry it took time to post, i am nairaland shy(if theres even anything like that) @mulerider did this.�Bae got me hotel and booked taxi for me, never seen anyone as supportive, woke me up to pray severally, alaye I slept. He did the praying and fasting all night. I really can't appreciate enough. Interview time 7am, taxi dropped me at about 6am, on the queue, the next person that appeared behind happen to be Moses, the guy I have virtually known, but I refused to introduce myself, so he wnt locate me incase I get a reject, but I changed my mind to reach out.

Eventually window 12, Though my prayer was to get approved, even if I say rubbish.

I intend choosing the Abuja consulate when filling out my DS-160 but I haven't been able to confirm if any one have had a recent interview there or anyone has an appointment date.

Has any one had an interview there of recent or is scheduled to have an interview in the future?

I haven't been seeing any interview transcripts/news from Abuja consulate.. Is it that nothing is happening there? Cos I'm waiting for my emergency appointment to be approved and I'm nervous @ this point
