Good morning bosses.

I intend choosing the Abuja consulate when filling out my DS-160 but I haven't been able to confirm if any one have had a recent interview there or anyone has an appointment date.

Has any one had an interview there of recent or is scheduled to have an interview in the future?

It feels like every transcript I read was conducted at the Lagos consulate.

Are there anybody who had their appointment at the Abuja consulate and got their Visa approved?

I want to suggest that for every transcript, whether approved or not, the location should be added. Maybe it could serve as some kind of survey.

Visa Approved on November 6th, 7AM batch.

This is my third interview, I’d previously been denied twice. This was my easiest and simplest interview, Thank God!

Me: Good morning ( I smiled, even though I was wearing a mask)
VO: Good morning, we’ll start with your finger prints...
VO: what are you going to do in the US?
Me: I’m going for my bachelor’s degree in Biology at Edward Waters College, in Jacksonville Florida.(as calmly and as normal-paced as I could)
VO types for a bit
VO: what course again?
Me: Biology
VO: why Biology
Me: Well, I love Biology (slightly smiled) also, I want to pursue a career in Biomedical research and Biology serves as a great foundational course me me.
VO reads his screen for a longggg time
VO: who’s your sponsor?
Me: I have a full ride scholarship that covers my tuition, accommodation and all.... (pause) plus, My Dad will cover any other expense I might have.
VO typesssssss
VO: I intend to approve your visa, please keep your i20....
Me: Thank you so much.
VO: I wish you good luck, thank you.

One advice I’d give is to sound as natural and sincere as you can. The two VOs kept warning people against reciting crammed speeches or anything from the school website. One of the said ‘have a conversation with me’.

Oh and wear comfortable clothes, I stood for a long time.

Forever grateful to Mr Fairheart, even though I didn’t tell him about today�. He helped me the previous times and I'm grateful to everyone on this thread.

Address for sure is never on international passport, it here on driving license but not international passport. Just put in your home address

A family friend in the US is about paying my Sevis fee and I need some clarifications.

On the section for address, I got the info that it should be as it appears on my international passport but I can't find where my address is written on my passport.

What should I fill in as an address?

Please, help me out on this.

My friends took the SAT last month, with very high scores (1540, 1480, 1450s). You are applying from Nigeria, not America. Your applicant pool is not the same.

If you are applying test optional to the same school someone in your applicant pool with 1540 is applying to, you'd likely not be considered first.

I got admitted to three test optional schools.
Arizona State Uni, Kent State Uni (both Accountancy), University of South Alabama (Business related majors) with a common app fee waiver, and others are yet to give me a response.

You can start by requesting an electronically sent I-20 (soft copy in secure pdf format) from your school. This I-20 contains your Sevis ID which you'll need for your Sevis fee payment.

It depends.

Most schools require or recommend the SAT. Some claim to be test optional, but will hold it against you if you dont submit test scores. If you are applying only to top schools and no HBCUs, then you won't need an evaluation.

I haven't seen anyone use their NECO results, but I think you can use it. The problem with NECO is that they rarely give As, so even the best students have average transcripts.

I think the bolded shouldn't be a problem as even American students couldn't take the test as a result of its cancellation.

I'm 22, will be 23 by November, admitted to Arizona State University, Accountancy undergrad. I can only apply for scholarship when I'm in the US as stated by the school. Hope my age wouldn't pose a problem?

I'm undergrad too, submitted applications to some test optional schools as at last week and waiting for their feedbacks.

Bros I understand the frustration, but I must confess he explained everything to me before I placed my orders. However, if he isn't responding to your DMs on time, you can place a call through to him at least to clear and air your point.

Poor customer service is a plague in the Nigeria market place we are aware of it, but sincerely @Metrobox isn't like that and I can say this because I have used his services more than twice.

We met on this thread some months ago and we exchanged contacts but this is my alternate moniker, don't know if you remember.
I just have some few questions. Did you register for SAT? If so, do you think the exam will be conducted with everything going on around the world?

A lot of Samsung and LG TVs imported by Nigeria are grade 3, fakes/knock offs from China, Malaysia and Dubai.

Only buy LED/LCD TVs from their official stores in Africa as listed on their websites. Or buy the fairly used ones from Alaba as they are European Certified and were inspected to attain the European Quality Standard hence they bear the CE seal on them. Or if you can buy the imported ones from US and Europe i.e Samsung and others

Personally, I would recommend Philips, Bosch, Blaupunkt or any other European brand made in Germany or the Netherlands because these brands maintain a high standard, quality and long shelf life policy, just like their cars.

All the Samsung TVs i owned never lasted more than 4-5 yrs without needing repair, especially the colour problem i.e the colour spilling and making shapes on the screen after awhile. I use a Samsung Laptop as well and I've got a few TVs from Samsung awaiting repair. LED and LCD. And from experience, I would never own a Samsung product again because I have realized that the marketing of a product determines its hype and value to most consumers.

Its like using a Benz and a Toyota. The difference is in the use and the value to the user.

The Toyota beats it when it comes to mileage, fuel economy, sales and popularity but in overall performance, the Benz wins.

Nikon is the most popular camera brand in photography but Canon is known for giving you the best quality photo. Get the drift?

So go for one that you would not need to replace or repair within a short period

when you talk of Sound system, Sony is the best.
When you talk of A/C , Samsung is the best.

I've been using the above Electronic machines for the past 6 years and no mechanic has eaten a dime from me, because none of them has developed any fault whatsoever.

What about refrigerators?

Recommend a good refrigerator for me please, preferably a bedside refrigerator like the one below
