Atouke: LOL it seems that the General is taking forever to make up his mind, is this how he will delay in making decisions if he becomes president? I wonder why he is dragging his feet. he asked Tinubu to choose a VP candidate he recommended himself why is the general dragging his foot. Does he think that the Asiwaju of yorubaland is not qualified to be his VP. If general buhari rejects the recommendation of Asiwaju of yorubaland , he is rejecting yoruba votes, and that cannot be good for his 2015 election. |

Politics › Re: Failure To Pick Tinubu As The VP Candidate Will Tear APC Apart. by notobs: 3:11am On Dec 17, 2014 |
To consolidate the SW votes APC needs tinubu, and besides Buhari will not be able to push Tinubu around and that will ensure that the SW gets a leader in Aso rock insted of a figure head. Osinbajo, fayemi etc will all be figure heads if chosen. But No one will push Asiwaju around as VP. |

excellent point, Tinubu has worked very hard for APC, He deserve to be compensated for his efforts. Not forgeting that fashola, arebesola, fayemi, amosun, oyo governor etc are all tinubus boys and they will work to secure votes for APC presidential candidate. failure to pick tinubu will spell disaster for APC. The SW governors are already insisting of tinubu. If buhari veers off tinubu he can kiss SW votes goodbye. |

adisa009: This is what your GEJ/PDP are known for 'governance by excuses' read in lines and criticise constructively! Mr GEJ is known for 'false pride' reflection and outcome of which resulted in age long soul massacre. He was told by OBJ to apply stick and carrot approach at initial stage but refused until things got out of hand before he partially applied it. As much as I don't trust or support America peace keeping mission yet, we can't deny their intelligent skills and experience in terrorism issues which means we have a lot to learn from them. An intelligent question had been previously posted by an informed nairalander which was; "who loose?" Federal govt stopped receiving training from american solders does not affect america in any way! Is it not too late to realized that America or Britain are our enemies...? remember what the courageous mouth piece of the black nation, Gen. Muritala Muhammed said about 'white being the black's enemy in disguise and his further admonishment to recognized them as our recurring enemy' amidst some authorities in africa, Gen.Muritala Muhammed's death was internationally maligned! Have we borthered to ask why british govt. refused to sell certain weapons for Nigeria govt. during 1967 civil war even as they remained our major arms supplier for national defence untill eastern europe came to our rescue. As American government have refused to advanced certain category of weapon to us, the necessary measure and alternative should be sorted by reasonable govt and not false pride of jetissoning useful skills for the military perhaps our solders doesn't need it today which I doubted strongly, they shall need it tomorrow! Weapon procurement for both internal defence and external aggressions is a serious business for the men and not for boys like Jonathan and his compromised army! He also need to be reminded that taken up diplomatic issues against US this time will only complicate things for us. If he could be brainwashed by Chad president who else can he treppled on? MR Jonathan should be very careful and learn from the real men outside the corridor of power. Useless boko haram advocate, Watch and see Nigeria defeat your boko haram ideology in the next few months, the military hardware our army needs will be supplied by russia and china soon, you hopes will be dashed as Nigeria will defeat boko haram. |

A nigerian Auto manufacturer INNOSON motors has the capacity to produce 500 - 1000 trucks like the ones you are posting daily, If trucks were what the army needed Nigeria would have placed an order from innoson Motors not gone to ask the US for help, What the Nigerian Army needs are military grade attack helicopters and night vision capability and thats what the US is blocking Nigeria from Accquiring, and thats what we are discussing here not you palmy illusions! |

Mowire: And all of you (above commentators) are part of the youths that hope to lead this country someday? You need to learn some critical thinking and cease your naive, sentiment driven populist thinking. The USA is about the most indebted nation in the world yet she's 2nd largest economy; and that not just based on GDP.
Any government waiting for money from some IGR and some statutory allocation could not have achieved the level of infrastructural development in Lagos in the last few years How can a govt. live on borrowed money? you cannot borrow your way out of a financial problem, debt might sustain you for a while but it will catch up to you in The long run? Case in point Ekiti State under fayemi, borrowed so much money to invest in infrastructures such as N50million Bed for the governors mansion, and today the incomming governor meet a broke state and is struggling to pay even salaries. The debt that fashola is incurring for Lagos state will be an albatross for the next government. |

Just imagine, after so many junk posts, they still can not show us 1, I mean 1 new school built by any PDP governor since 1999.
Jokes apart, are you people really not ashamed that you can not come up with anything by any of your PDP governors in that region collectively?
This is really sad... you this omo youruba, wetin be your problem self, why is it so hard for you to see the truth? abi because you be APC member you think say APC no fit do anything wrong. If you think that 1 secondary school in 7.5yrs with N800m management contact for that 1 school outsourced to india for the training of just 750 kids is a good record while abandoning 266 secondary school in the same state, then something is definetly wrong with your sense of morality. |

jazzydee: Unlike barcanista which might be another of your duplicitous (AKA )aliases on Nairaland,Your problem is that you are impervious to truth because you are a master in propaganda, Its not a picture posting contest dear aresa, Its a common sense matter, Amaechi built one sech. school in 7.5yrs as governor, and outsourced it to India for management for N800m when Nigerians are looking for jobs and when 266 secondary schools are abandoned, this is not me making anything up about Amaechi, am quoting Amaechi by his own words, the video evidence is on page 1. for you and all to see.
This is not also about Akpabio as you want it it be, Akpabio record speaks for himself, A brand new bicampus state university built by Akpabio, it will graduate its first students next year, which university has amaechi built? Akpabio has totally renovated the Akwa Ibom state polytecnic with several new building and excellent road network within the school, has attracted a federal polytechnic to Akwa Ibom state during his tenure as governor. In basic education free and compulsory education for all akwa ibom students making sure that he is paying subvention of 100per kid per term for primary and 300per kid per term for secondary to their headmansters and principals and paying for WAEC/NECO fees for all students in the state irrespective of their state of origin. that way education in Akwa Ibom is truley free as kids are not asked for PTA,Handwork, development and all the other levies that usually send kids away from school he has over the 7.5yrs as governor built and refurbished 4000 classroom blocks in al LGAs of Akwa Ibom State if you want evidence of Akpabios work here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=UU44hqJiIK_HYYflwAkOqAQQ. but i know you are too biased to see it. See Akpabios work speaks for himself does not need anyone to scream it as you do for fashola and amaechi.but you always choose to denigrate Akpabio, you are the biased one here myfriend. I used to commend amaechi for education and healthcare based on the misleading pictures that you and other APC peeps post on nairaland untill today when i heard form amaechi mouth what the true situations of this are. Its time for you to own up to the reality that both Amaechi and fashola have dropped the ball on education in their respective states FACT! Amaechi is a learner when you put his achievement in 7.5yrs side by side with Akpabio. Amaechi keeps complaining that there is no money to build bad roads in the state, yet he is spending N2.4bn per year on 750 kids to score cheap political point. while the major problem of education in the state is not scratched at all.
I remember these secondary school was the genesis of the problems of amaechi with the president, when the president dare to advise a pompous amaechi to put more kids per dormitory room, in the model secondary school so the the school can admit more students, Amaechi publicly said no to the president because he wanted to keep to UK standards.
and since then for 7.5yrs he has only completed one schoo secondary school. Pride comes before a fall indeed. |
