When the hunter become the hunted. These past couple of weeks is by God grace am surviving. From battling the intenst heat, dodging bullet gwo gwo gwo gwo ngwo and calming the hungry worms staging protest in my stomach. It not been easy. Genesis of my delimar started, when some weeks back HQ said we should pack our bags and equipments we are going to Port Harcourt for reinforcement and reconnaissance.

Before 0600 hours we have already load our personal effects on the TATA (lorry), while we wait for buses HQ called we should stand down no movement again, by then our personal effects (containing our dry rations, tent, blankets, gas cooker e.t.c) has gone far. I went to mess (kitchen) to collect lunch they said "no food for us" that how we started fasting.

On a normal day I don't use to eat food from the mess I cook or I eat my dry rations to avoid food poison. My gas cooker and pot by now would have reached Port Harcourt by now. After much deliberation and consideration, base said they would only give us lunch. The lunch they gave me that day was the final nail hammer into my torment.
For the next two days I was having serious running stomach and pass piosion fart to kill an elephant. I thought it was normal fart I want to fart, I adjust and set my bum bum only to discover I have shit on my pants. I had to wash my uniform and tire wrapper. Everybody was just starting at me like Ashawo.
As I was waiting for my uniform to dry (advantage of Borno sun) that was the time BH said they should attack our base. Come and see how I jump inside trench to take cover. It turns out be false alarm. That was the time uncle snake decide to come and find food and what food tastes better than my fresh laps. Without wasting time I expanded two rounds to kill uncle snake. A feet that was not easy considering uncle snake was cunning. Fire ready, snake meat roasted at least it will reach me five days or more, no more watering beans.

It is important to start discipline early as like I said helps build self control and to take u (and other elders) as an authority. The absence of that can cause problem later on at 12yo when flogging may not be so painful to the child and he hasn't learnt self control and is not used to obeying authority.(This is very important, Mothers esp need to take note)
Rebellion is easier at that age upwards if there is no self control built and the child doesn't see you as an authority.. at that point it is prayers.. then perhaps the child should face some serious consequence of his actions and then that can be used to instruct him
Overall, even from baby stage, prayers and Godly instruction should not be toyed with esp in this age & time.

I see some children behaving stubbornly, to this I am sure the parent regularly fails to correct them effectively. So your take is that for the 1 or 2 years old (like children) the can inhibit them repetiting the very act that led to such event since that is the only language they understand. I get that.

Now what about the ones that understand well other correction languages e.g., 8-13 years old?

Flogging is so painful to a little child and so the child immediately controls himself to prevent a repeat of the flogging. And so it has the triple benefits of
1. Correcting the child at that point
2. Helping the child build self control early
3. Helping the child to take you as an authority to be listened to

U beat to correct not to injure or to kill... beating doesn't and should not be injurious to the child's body. If u are too angry to beat a child controllably, then don't beat the child at that point.

Corporal punishment refers to punishment meted to bearer in form of flogging or canning.

Let's focus on canning at home compared to school.

Don't be discouraged o. Though my area is engineering. I miraculously got trainee position @32. I didn't manipulate age though I applied 2 years ago.. Still yet I was far above 26.

My advice is this. You are not God. You can't say your future is this or that. Just keep moving maximally. You on track.. Good grades... Apply a lot during your NYSC, don't wait until you get discharge cert. And immediately you av that, intensify the job hunting process.

Find money too, cos you wud av to travel for tests. Wish you the best. Remember this.... Don't give up.

Mohamed Salah has signed a new three-year contract with Liverpool.

The 30-year-old Egypt forward only had a year left on his previous deal and there had been doubts about whether he would stay.

Salah has scored 156 goals in 254 appearances during his five years at Anfield since moving from Roma.
