@OP Lay a complaints to CBN b4 taking your case to social media. At least banking hS one of the best regulators in Nigeria. If your complain had to do with telecoms or Media etc this would have been the best medium to vent your frustration because their regulators are lukewarm. CBN has an ATM complaints desk and they do not take complaints like this lightly with any bank. Infact the banks will shiver at the mention of CBN. I hope this helps. |
Abuja is okay for a first time visitor but make sure you have a reliable guide. I wouldn't advice you to use a random taxi driver as a guide cos their numbers have been infiltrated. If you dont know anyone down here I'll advice you to do your research well before living your hotel room. Do not carry excess cash on you per time. If you are a regular traveller the same rule applies here. Stay safe and enjoy naija. |

Alhamdullilah. May Allah reward sincerity and keep them in the light. |

Remeber that police are endangered species in some parts of naija now. If u are posted to such a station......... If u intend to make banking a permanent career you won't enjoy it as a contract staff. That 65k u are carried away by maybe your salary for the next 10 years and you won't get a single promotion. My 2 cents go and consult with whatever you worship to guide you to make the right decision. |
You and Governor Chime wife dey the same ward for Enugu Government house psychiatric hospital before dem discharge her. I go tell the doctor for dia to cut all internet connections and seize all the Fone for the ward before you too begin call lawyer to represent u. |

A very strong law of nature which many of us don't acknowledge. Just pray with him and cut all communication with him. |

coogar: cöck & bull story.... ![]() Welcome back coogar I've missed your poetic and descriptive responses on NL. |
I experienced same and it took me almost a year to get it resolved in Apo, Abuja after jumping from one mechanic to another like a woman in search of a solution to her barreness . In fact what took me dia was my car a/c when I bumped into this mechanic who miraculously reduced d vibration from 100% to 8%. He asked me to buy new engine seatings which I did, he now reconstructed it after taking some measurements and like magic d vibrations stopped. I don't know for you but my own was caused by engine seatings. |
I don't know how many people have experienced this of recent. I commenced on my annual leave some weeks back and my DSTV decoder was still active and was supposed to expire during my leave 28th October, 2013. I returned this morning and went to renew my subscription and I was told that I had a debit of 220 naira on my account. I called their customer care line only for the customer care agent to tell me that the debit was for additional days they added for me. I asked him to check my decoder and notice when last I used it. I would like to raise some points here: 1) I was out of town when my subscription expired. 2) One of their agents even called me when I was on leave to ask me why I had not been using my decoder and I explained to him that I was out of town. He said he thought I was having technical problems. 3) With all their capitalist policies Like refusing to suspend your subscription when you are out of town they still had the guts to debit me for the "the number of days" they added, like I begged them to do that. 4) I was in my brothers house over the weekend and he told me he was asked to pay extra when he went to renew his subscription and I least expected it will happen to me. 5) This is what lack of competition is causing. Market forces are no more determining pricing. Monopolist just do as they wish because the customer is a slave and the service provider is king. I'm just using this medium to vent my frustration at DSTV. They don't appreciate those of us still patronising them. So many people have ported and those of us coughing out our hard earned cash are not appreciated for our loyalty ![]() I'm considering so many other options and its only a matter of time before I act. |
It happened to me too. I noticed it happens when you use ur card on another banks machine. I think banks have placed limits on the number of withdrawals you can make on other bank machine's. I heard that since CBN removed the 100 naira charge on withdrawals the banks pay for each transaction done by their customers on other bank mahines . Try your card on a first bank machine and it will pay you. |

With the advent of Chinese goods the prices of electronics have dropped drastically. Even the big names have come out with cheap and affordable products. This brings me to the million dollar question "why do we still patronise waste products from Europe and Americas in the name of buying 2nd hand electronics?" I don't mean to be insultive or to derail your thread but I believe these things can be avoided if we learn to leave within our means. If you can afford a 14" new product why go for a 20" scrap product that might not even work. In summary I feel we have a complex in this country that's why we do some of the things we do. |
Guy let's keep this thread alive for d next couple of years ...marry her and keep updating us on the outcome maybe some of us can learn from your experience |
