Afritelly:These pictures are so gruesome. SMH! |
I pity those mumu christians guarding muslims in d Kano protest. |
I pity those Christians protesting against fuel subsidy removal alongside these murderous people. |
oduasolja:On whose hands are the blood of thousands killed in Northern Nigeria in 1945 and 1953? |
Does anyone know how old Nzeogwu was here? He certainly looks under 30 here. |
Could someone pls embed d video as I'm finding it difficult to do that. Thanks |
Major Nzeogwu here describes how they carried out the operation that led to the killing of Sir Ahmadu Bello, Sardauna of Sokoto. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nBKCgPMzrjI |
Naija internet warriors are at it again. With the way they have been ranting about this subsidy issue, one would have expected that by now they would be a group of at least 100,000 protesters approaching Aso rock gates. Abeg make una keep quiet go buy the fuel @ d new price jare. |
What is d source of dis info? |
Vicjustice:Thanks, I'm already planning to move to a new place b4 then. But when I said booking a hotel, I meant for both of us and not her alone. |

The passing out parade of the first Nigerian women's police. Also shows the policewomen on duty. The uniformed women are shown in close-up, before R.J.P. McLaughlan, Inspector General of the Police, reviews the parade (his last in his present role). The commentator notes that the women are unarmed, but adds that 'whether on parade or off, they are more than capable of holding their own with the men'. http://www.colonialfilm.org.uk/node/1961 |
The Federal Ministry of Youth Development website seem to be different from the website of other government agencies. It's quite beautiful and informative. Imust say a big well done to the designers. Check it out here http://www.youthdevelopment.gov.ng/ |
cashmentor:His point is that even Christianity and Islam are also foreign. |
Experts in the house, I need some advice on how to go about this one; I want to invite my girlfriend to the UK. She is currently a student in one of the Nigerian universities whil I'm resident in the Uk on a Tier 1 (general) HSMP visa. How do I go about it and what documents do I/we need to present to make the application water tight. Many Thanks |
To Ahmadu Bello, working hard and trying to get to the top of one's career, whether it be as a labourer was seen as trying to 'dominate where ever you find your self' and also seen as negative. |
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8y1Zpk4DrlA&feature=share The Sardauna's views here seriously undermine the ideals of national unity and call into question his commitment to building a stable, free, united & independent nation. This also proves that the enmity between the Igbos and Hausas predates the January 1966 coup. |
Omo_Tier1:I have tried ti go through the thread but going through 144 pages is no mean task. Can anyone help me with a link to where it was discussed? Thanks. |
fegflu:He should have tested that loyalty by contesting the 2011 presidential elections and see if we wouldn't have voted for him with stones. |

sheyguy:Dude, can't your brain comprehend? I was only pointing out to you the fact that violence against southerners particularly Ndigbo in the North did not start after the Ifeajuna coup of Jan. 15 1966 but had been a 'practice' pre independence. |
sheyguy:Like I said earlier on, I am in mourning mode. Therefore, I'll let u slide. For the records though, Hausas didn't start murdering the Igbos post January 15 1966. Go read about the May 1953 Kano riots. |
CyberG:The post wasn't intended for a debate. Thank you. I'm still in mourning mode |
CyberG:If you don't have anything to say about the video, you can pass without commenting. |
Notice how the wounded soldier in B was eager to return to the war front as soon as the wound got better. That was emotional. |
Ojukwu and other factors in the civil war talk about their efforts to prevent the war and the spirit that kept the people going even in the face of annihilation. The video (esp. Part B) also shows the extent of war crimes carried out by Federal troops on defenceless civilians especially women and children. Interesting watch! Part A http://www.youtube.com/watch?NR=1&v=rPNXnMcHGtE Part B https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JqCP3DXwFzU&feature=related |
Here is the picture of the Ogbunigwe launcher as displayed at the National War museum Umuahia.
