Ikwerreland: I really don't understand this US government.
So because Hushppupi named Abba Kyari as one of the beneficiary of his loot automatically makes him part of the said crime?
Abba Kyari does not have any case with the US government, even if he has to answer any case it should be with the Nigerian government.
That he Abba Kyari benefited from the loot through the bribe he received from Hushppupi does not mean he joined Hushppupi to loot.
Will the US government also order the arrest of all hushpuppi friends he spent the money on, going out for party, gave free money, and companies he made purchases from because they all benefited from the loot like Abba Kyari?
America should better respect themselves. |

Politics › Bauchi To Prosecute 1,115 Ghost Workers by NwaNimo1(op): 9:21pm On Jul 29, 2021 |
The Bauchi state government says it will prosecute the 1,115 ghost workers uncovered in the verification exercise of workers in the state and local government service. The governor, Bala Mohammed, stated this when he received the report of the 25-member workers’ verification committee on Thursday in Bauchi. The committee saddled with the responsibility of sanitising both the nominal and payroll of the civil servants in the state declared 1,115 ghost workers and 5,429 illegal employees in the state. The committee also declared 1,712 illegal pensioners in the state and local government service. The state governor Bala Mohammed said the government would constitute a committee to carefully study and implement the findings and recommendations of the verification committee and expressed readiness to prosecute the culprits. He said that those found to be involved in collecting undeserved salaries and pensions would be prosecuted to serve as a deterrent to others. While presenting the report, the chairman of the verification committee, Baba Tela, said that the committee adopted a task force approach to effectively handle the assignment. Mr Tela, who is also the deputy governor of the state, said that the committee conducted verification of workers across the 76 Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) as well as the 20 Local Government Councils (LGCs). He said that the total number of personnel uploaded on the employees’ enrollment portal for the state and local government stood at 80,236, comprising 29,752 for the state and 50,484 under the LGCs’ service. The chairman revealed that N511 million was saved monthly from the exercise, while the total salary warehouse that would be paid to the cleared civil servants stood at N489.8 million. Mr Tela said the committee recommended the continuation of qualitative analysis of nominal roll data; training of all process owners such as chief executive officers, permanent secretaries, directors, staff officers and accountants. The chairman of the Bauchi chapter of the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC), Danjuma Saleh, urged the state to expedite action on the implementation of the committee’s recommendations. Mr Saleh, who is also a member of the committee, said the recommendations would prevent sharp practices and other leakages in the civil service. The committee was set up in March 2021 with the mandate to clear and sanitise the nominal and payroll of the state. https://gazettengr.com/bauchi-to-prosecute-1115-ghost-workers/ |

Travel › Nnolim Nnaji: International Flights To Resume At Enugu Airport Today by NwaNimo1(op): 3:06pm On Jul 29, 2021 |
Baring any unforeseen circumstances, international flights will resume at the Akanu Ibiam Airport, Enugu on Thursday, July 29.
Chairman, House Committee on Aviation, Nnolim Nnaji, who revealed this at the 25th annual conference of the League of Airport and Aviation Correspondents (LAAC), held in Lagos on Wednesday, July, 28, said all the necessary preparations have been made and the airport management is only waiting for the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) to sign off on it.
Since the suspension on international flights as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, operations have resumed in four airports; Murtala Muhammed airport, Lagos, Aminu Kano, Kano, Nnamdi Azikiwe, airport, Abuja and Port Harcourt International Airport, Abuja.
However, Nnolim has said that preparations for resumption of flights has reached the point where it is expected that the Federal Government will officially announce the resumption of flights.
“We believe that international operations will resume at Enugu airport on July 29. It was waiting for the NCAA to sign off, but we have already taken it to that point where we expect the Federal Government to announce the resumption of flights,” Nnolim said.
Also reacting to the decision of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to ban sales of forex to Bureau De Change (BDC) operators, Nnolim said the coming weeks will determine how the policy will affect the price of air tickets, while urging the apex bank to increase supply of forex to banks so that airlines can access it easily.
“The government didn’t do much in terms of bailout for the airlines. The cost of the engine of a Boeing is close to $10 million and what the government provided for all the airlines is about N4 billion, so, when you compare what our airlines got to what airlines in other countries got, you will find out that they didn’t do much for the industry. The aviation industry is a very expensive business and most people do not break even. What they just succeed in doing is to just keep the business going because everything about the industry is offshore and that is a challenge. https://www.sunnewsonline.com/international-flights-to-resume-at-enugu-airport-today-rep/
