Hi i sent you a pm.please lets connect.quote author=Ceslause post=57983761]Hello house...It's been awesome coming on this thread! una too much! Let's say i have been an undercover follower,lol...but it's a tight family in here...Your contributions are epic...even when some disagree to agree! lol.

My name is Ceslause. I got admission into University of Regina for fall 2017, MA French and Francophone Intercultural Studies. I applied for Trv via paper route on 18th april 2017, with upfront medical. On 10th May,i got an email from CIC requesting for proof of my previous employment (introduction letter),which i scanned and sent to them the next day, explaining to them that i omitted putting in together with my current employment letter. Since then, i haven't heard anything from them again, though am yet to link my application to my CIC account. And 17th July will make it 12weeks, so i hope to wait it out, and by God's grace share the goodnews of Approval. I will everyone here the best
Thanks broo.once I get the gcms note ,I will let you guys know what the actual reasons were.

quote author=judebebo32 post=56361203]

A good SOP can help you with the rejection. from your profile your bachelor's degree is not in line with your work experience, I suggest you explain explicitly why there was a change in career. In addition, I presume you want to quit your current job to pursue MA in french language (Inconsistent career wise). If you can convince the VO why you decided to study MA in french and how it would increase your career progression then the issue of "Purpose of visit" would be solved. Finally, you should explain your plans after graduation.
I could help you review your SOP if needed.

Thanks brother....Waiting for the gcms note
einsteino:

but many other persons go abroad to study courses we already have here, even funded by our govt. i think the only thing missing is that he failed to prove he would get better education there than here, this can be resolved with an sop. Also visa application and outcome is highly dependent on who is reviewing it, his mood and so many other factors.. 1+1 !=2 all the time

I have a bachelor of arts in French language with a cgpa of 4.22 I can not possibly go for a certificate program in French translation.I have my colleague and my course mate presently in the same school, studying the same course.I believe the actual reason for refusal would be stated in the gcms note. Will let you guys know once I get that. Thanks
quote author=yemdogg post=56358272]

This is also not convincing. Masters in French Language is for people who are advanced in french language and as such, your argument would have hold much water if he was going for a certificate program which would have probably given him a foundation in the language of french. However, If he is trying to learn french for the purpose as stated by you, then a masters degree in french is too advanced for him and a bit far-fetched.

I align my thoughts on this to that of @austinpee4. I think he hit the bulls-eye.
No I did not state that my kids will be accompanying me to Canada.I have been working as an admin since 2014 to date.prior to that I was a French translator/interpreter in a military college in Nigeria, during that time ,I accompany senior officers to official visits to most of the francophone African countries as their translator. All the same I believe the Gcms would shed more light on the actual reasons for refusal.thanks.
quote author=Osemigho post=56357157]
Your app timeline seems very fast. Did you apply from Nigeria?
Please request GCMS. However, something say I should ask if you stated that all your family members will follow you. Did you?
Edited: Ok. French.... How long have you been working as admin?

Mydear I deal more on French translation and interpretation ,moreover you must be a bilingual to be able to work as a relationship executive in my place of work. And if you say one can get masters in French translation in Nigeria! Then you might as well say why are we all struggling to go for further studies in Canada since we can get almost all the courses here in Naija...I will sure order for the GcMs note as soon as possible. Thanks for the quick response.
quote author=Austinpee4 post=56357065]
Haba! Brother! You sef check am nau.. If you were a VO, would you consider your move convincing enough?

French language is not a lingua franca in nigeria, your current work experience is not in line with your intended program, you don't have any experience in either french lecturing or translation. There is no way this one will fly! No amount of grammar put together in your SOP will salvage this one.

French language master or traning can easily be gotten in nigeria or the next francophone nation. No VO will see any need for you to pursue this at masters level especially since you don't have direct work need and more over in canada where you will be spending huge funds to obtain.

Anyway, your next move should be a masters in what you are currently doing. It will show progression careerwise.
Forget consistency with your undergraduate degree. It is inconsequential at this stage.

Your current work experience should be inclining towards making you a 'MASTER' in the field. All academic/career advancement MUST be in this light and nothing more.

All the same, i'll advice you get your immigration file(GCMS) ASAP. It will tend to the inconsistencies.
Once it is ready, people here will help you make a better re-application.

Regards.
Please Boss advice on payment and address of VAC here in Lagos. Is the payment done online or at VAC office?
quote author=Osemigho post=54813245]

I advise anyone doing paper to take picture at VAC. 8 copies for 2k+ < 3k.
Picture I took from a professional studio was rejected there. I had to retake another there. Just go and snap there and not waste your time and money.

Bead gang shouldn't be a problem.

Also, I advise anyone going to VAC to go as early as 8am. In fact, reach there before 8am and wait till they open their gate. With that, you will likely leave there around 9am.
Going anytime from 11am means you will likely be done after 2-4hrs, depending on population you met on ground. Shalom!
I don't understand....So you want us to do your research for you while you do what ?

This is a Pro - bono platform, nobody is readily disposed to assisting you unless you take some positive steps yourself. So my brother, There is an app on your device called browser, open it and type Google.com, afterwards do the needful by typing your queries in the search bar. That way you'd learn better and save us the stress of doing your job for you.

Can you imagine
You can only provide a L.O.E to that, stating that you lost it in transit. Include your previous I.D number and list the countries you visited. If possible to get the flight tickets, it will be helpful to you as well.

Thank you very much my wonderful people ,Can I add the Nigeria embassy ID card of one of the countries that I visited to my application?
