kenben:I agree, most of these private hospitals in Abuja are firstly business minded before humanitarian/ medically minded. You will be shocked to know the kind of inexperienced doctors that Turkish Hospital has. Most gullible Nigerians are moved with the Turkish personnel whom most are not even qualified doctors, some are technicians while some are are not qualified with mbbs but md's. People don't know the later can only treat routine ailments. The gigantic building and packaging in terms of building interior glitz and medical equipment are used to create a bogus impression. You will be surprised they don't even have stable consultants there and they have some anti worker policies eg a worker is not allowed to bring their 3 month old baby to work. When I heard this I wondered if this was a bank or hospital. |
I'm sure they av been watching too much of d avenger movies. the moment a warrant for Tompolo's arrest was issued that I when these guys became active. Tompolo is a criminal who Gej made an overnight billionaire. I guy ha disappeared since probably to the creeks. At least now u av some properties to ur name. A word is enough for me wise. |
MsNas:These are salient points.... Wot of taking a casual leave and visiting Canada and the US. Probably your next two months salary can take care of that. So that u can get a pre-study visits to the institutions of your choice. This will help in solidifying your position and check out if you want to be like an Oyinbo with turtleneck in Sesames street (cold ni o). Best of luck bro! |
BE811APP:Now, this is a kind of thinking that belongs to the 16th century. If there are no designs would the builder just build from their heads? Or which kinds of Architects have you been patronizing? Maybe the quacks! Anyways the consultants can specify and design which type of Ac to be installed but there is no strict control from the authorities on the kind of Ac to be installed. So the client can naturally change his mind. ...and how would you like the service charge to cost like 200-300k, with poor maintenance culture, the tenants will just go on and install individual Acs. How easy is it in Nigeria maintaining a central generator talkless of central Ac whether in residential or commercial buildings. Except for corporate clients who own the building and let out some offices or apartments. |
jogojogo:Don't mind that nigger! Abeg Saraki has been dancing reggae in Abuja, allow him to dance some blues for now. If he is that popular make he do a tour of all nooks and crannies of Kwara state. Let's see how good his dancing steps are. |
Wow! This thread. Is still going. Nothing do you OP.... U have got your 36hrs of fame. Please Naija youths I will be more interested in a thread like "how to make toothpicks from Nigerian Bamboo" Cheers! |
femi4:U mean algorithm iv? Maybe that's why the softwares weren't detecting it. Anyways I will continue to search for solutions. Or do u still av any suggestions? Thanks a lot! |
femi4:The Fmc Unlocker and DC Unlocker couldn't detect my modem. So I logged in to my modem and went to Sim lock settings (Web advice). The code did not work! |
femi4:When u said 'try'. I hope u r sure about the code, because I read somewhere that entering a wrong code can lock in modem permanently. Thanks once again |
You don't need to wait for an email for your reserved number. I went to Nicon in the morning, due to the crowd I just picked a tally No36 and left for my office where I reserved my number online. I went back in the afternoon without receiving their email. Yes you need an ID card with a clear picture or go with ID card and passport photo just in case. I was first pissed that the sim won't work on my phone, thought I had to buy their branded, sim locked phone but I heard about spectra net unlocking. There's a guy who does it for free on nairaland. Just search! |
Pls Bros weldone. Can you help with my spectranet IMEI modem already downloaded FMC Unlocker. IMEI 357500040187468 Model E5172Bs-925 Thanks in advance! |
Please can someone make more clarifications. The ntel guys seems not so ready for the main market, they shd av said yes are just test running. I just got the Sim, I realised the latest tech which is 4g lte is just being used in a few countries. The lot of phones do not even support it. The tech guy I spoke to told me they are talking to phone manufacturers to write a patch to upgrade existing phones. I had to buy it because of the data speed they offer and because spectranet increased tariff. I learnt one can unlock spectranet modem for any network. Because I'm not ready to buy any ntel branded phone for now. They also have a fair usage policy so u don't use it for too much heavy download like p2p an movies. Like 3gb per day. Th phones that can access it r still too few though. |
Best advice so far... Pls Op I have been in this position before, although I was the one going for my masters, the girl I was dating for a month then told me that she can't bear the rigors of long distance relationship and we broke it off. I still had like two girls but I didn't end up with any of them. I met my present wife when she was at her final year in med school. She told me I have to wait till she finishes horsemanship... Believe me waiting for a year sounded like eternity but it was through the advice of a big brother that helped me pull through. I got myself buried with work (construction), went for lawn tennis games and others just to stay focused because deep down I knew she was the one for me. The rest is now history. If I didnt allow her to complete her studies... I would have seen the worst in her because when you are her husband you will wield a certain level of control on her which may affect her studies. Bottom line... If you really like her, allow her to go. Just don't promise her marriage... Just tell her both of you are just free to mingle. At 28, except you are the first born, you are still young, just take it easy, marriage lasts for a life time. Like in the quote.... A lot of maturity is needed in marriage. Let your girl get that exposure... There are no husbands abroad per se. Lol she will soon realize that.... Cheers Nb: Make sure she gets the MBA in the UK it just about 11 months moshino: |
Best advice... avoid them during rush hours. Just yesterday I had a ceiling fan I ordered delivered to their Gimbiya street pickup store. So I wen there and one of the store guys attended to me. I I surprised to hear that there was no paper in the pos so I had to get cash from a nearby ATM. I smelt rat but played along. My package costs about 5,610 and 800 bucks delivery to store (which in other clime is free). So I gave th guy 6500 an asked a change of 90 bucks only for the guy to to smiling saying oga there's no change. I tell d guy say jumia is a multi million naira coy so i am entitled. To my change. I no ask for guy say h should av N100 so I can go. He said it's his 10n that he wud use and I said u can't leave 10n for me n I wan chop my N100. I was about dropping the damn package before a sensible staff had to help with change. So the cash thing wa just a ploy to get my change. Why is it that companies get big n they don't test d system. |
The brief definition of project management I like to go with is managing a project within a time frame which is on budget and of the highest quality. Pm= time + cost + Quality. I prefer to use the philosophy of Lean construction (lean was a term used in the manufacturing industry). It essentially looks at the entire value chain in the building process so as to reduce waste and add value at every point which meets the overall objectives of most clients i.e. On time, on budget and of high quality. I will like to hear from others before I continue... |
Hello everyone, I stumbled on this thread just searching through the net about who's the better project manager amongst the various professionals in the construction industry in Nigeria. I don't want to mention a certain profession that is being arrogated this role by default. Let me start by giving you a little of my background. I'm an Architect with a masters degree and Msc. I also acquired an Msc in Project Management in construction from the university of Salford, U.K.. I have worked in the design firm for about a year and a half and in the construction field for about four years. All the while I was in construction I wasn't working in my preferred role which is as a PM. It was quite stressful because I was more of a supervisor, although this enabled me to see things that happen on a large construction site more clearly. I worked with a developer who was developing an estate of mixed residential houses of about 400 housing units in Abuja. I was allocated 2 blocks of terrace apartments and 5 duplexes to supervise. Anyways from the perspective of what I learnt while in the UK, project managers can either join a project from the beginning or during a project when they run into a logjam I.e. Trouble shooting mode. So I was able to learn a lot from trouble shooting the issues on this site. |
martyns303:It should be ok since Lg specifies min of 1.7kva gen for 1.5 hp read from the op. You can also turn on gen mode for a smoother operation. Read more here http://www.zabadne.com.ng/air-condtitioners/lg-spl-15-hp-gencool-split-air-conditioner-7198.html?content_only=1 Cheers! |
muh4lyf:I agree with you all the way. When will we start thinking of the greater good. The employment part is what gets me puzzled, what jobs are you talking about? Do you know the number of peaople we are employing indirectly in the countries we are buying refined oil from? Do you know what these People earn compared to people offloading fuel at a depot. Its more like we are importing poverty into Nigeria. I wonder whether if we dong have crude oil we won't survive as a nation. Moreso, I overhead on a TV program that Malaysia now earns up to 20b dollars from oil palm whose seeds were Taken from Nigeria. India makes over 600m dollars from Nigerians on medical tourism. A link on Malaysian palm oil proceeds http://mobile.reuters.com/article/idUSBREA3Q0P320140427 Please OP don't insult our sensibilities. Thanks! |
theodoreelisha:Yes after d refill it has been working well. But like I said the installer matters, even some of d LG guys maybe careless because d tools for fitting this ac are very different from d normal one. If u av used paid for installation by d LG people then you shd call them to lay your comaint. They were quite courteous and when they dis mine. They sent me their toll free line 08098115454 (never called d line sha, never called a toll free line in Naija).u can also just walk into the shop wia it was purchased wit ur receipt RO complain. Let's av ur feedback Cheers |
If u used the LG technicians for installation, you ate covered with warranty. 1 year I think. I. Got mine and didn't use their technician and I had d leakage of gas issue that's wen I knew d gas has leaked. The ac tools are a bit different because d gas is different. I had to go n take at their Wuse 2 office where I bought, initially they were adamant to refill d gas but later bulged. This inverter V ac needs not be advertised, it would advertise itself from the users like me. I bought a 1HP type about four months ago and my 2.5KVa Gen powers it just like a tv set. Its unbelievable in d speed of cooling. I bought it for 65k or thereabout just like about 15k above their normal ac but I can tell u it has already offset d bill.it doesn't really tell on my power consumption. Energy conservation at its best. |
Although the mods should move this to the relevant section. This inverter V ac needs not be advertised, it would advertise itself from the users like me. I bought a 1HP type about four months ago and my 2KVa Gen powers it just like a tv set. Its unbelievable in d speed of cooling. I bought it for 65k or thereabout just like about 15k above their normal ac but I can tell u it has already offset d bill.it doesn't really tell on my power consumption. Happy new year chief! Kindly assist with this VIN 2T1KR32EX5C356087 Thanks |
For the purpose of those that need the price for change of name. I recently visited the head office of Daily Trust newspapers in Jabi n got it done for 3k. They do for that price for Mon, Wed or Fri. Its costs like 7k other days of their schedule. I think 3k is resinable for a 3" x 3" column (or less) which is just meant for d records! Cheers Yall |
This is not good for online business in Naija. Its possible there are no adequate laws protecting the consumer online since the phenomenon is still a few years old. The closest I came to Buying from them was for a bb phone. I needed to know the cost of delivery and the cc guy over the phone was patronizing me to order the phone immediately. I always have a sixth sense when I'm being rushed into a purchase (maybe because I'm into construction). I always want to buy things on my own terms. Afterall they didn't know I existed until I called. So I told the guy I would call back n went to a store to buy it (costing a little extra). Mind u, even in the uk u might be kept waiting for days n u get disaspointed on getting d item. This maybe because the picture u saw might look slightly different n sometimes mixup in orders or even getting a shoe size wrong. It takes time to return n be refunded. @op just take to the social media threaten them that you will report them to cpc. Which kind of useless terms n conditions would state that goods not in stock cannot be refunded. Pls take to twitter= Facebook and invite your friends to do same. Cheers! |
they know what they're doing, they're not s.tupid. people just assume they are.
3 thumbs up! It is the new world order, call it modern day slavery, cheap labour or the caste system. Why do you think they have social security numbers? Let he/she who have ears hear or listen. I wish Nigerians over there will come out with their testimonies, rather than the hush hush. Emigrate to the US and u don hammer! All is make believe... Hollywood. |
