Coincidentally the manager of MTN West Africa which is the chief sponsor of the award is also Igbo.

It's no coincidence these awards were doled out to the best act without any hullabaloo from every other tribe in Nigeria because we believe the winners were deserving.

I believe my Igbo country men will argue this was won on merit which i agree. Personally i have seen 76 by Ramseh Noah and it happens to be one of the best if not the best movie i have seen by a Nigerian without any visible foreign influence.

I want this post to serve as a reminder for the day when no Igbo personality will win any category of the top four awards n most importantly when the manager MTN West Africa or whoever the chief sponsor will be at that time no longer will be of Igbo origin.

Canada USA Malaysia India n many more have their education system tailored using English-language with English being the predominant language.

While there is nothing wrong with being taught in African languages, I think Africans should stop wailing about frivolities. The list of countries with English as the primary language of learning abound with such countries doing significantly beta than Nigeria.

So, we see airplanes fly and we even enter it, but we don't want to know how it was made. We see ships travel on water, but we don't care how it was built. Our education system disables the African mind to want to explore scientifically, and it was intentionally made that way by Britain. Same for Francophone African countries.

The purpose of western education in Africa was created to do exactly what you saw in the pictures. I'm even surprised you noticed that, because many so called educated people who has been condemned by the system by default lacks the mental capability to ask such question.

Africa cannot develop until education is restructured and science taught in our native languages across Africa to enable children have inquisitive minds; like start building robots even from primary schools.
