Logicboy03: The earliest we know of the universe is the big bang and that is something not nothing. An expansion.hehehe... A big b.a.n.g? What ban.ged? What caused it? No answer? Lol. The big ba.ng theory gives room for belief in some pre-existing form of matter or energy. No? If so, how can we attribute the existence of our universe to this ban.g? You know the best part of this theory? There is no proof. Science indeed ![]() At least they admit their deficiency in knowledge but are unwilling to fill the void. |
@Logicboy, I believe you made this satetement Logicboy03: Anyways, we know what a society without religion looks like . Japan, Sweden etc. Very advanced and peaceful nationsI would like to believe you have a good command of English. No? 'Without religion' cannot by any stretch of the imagination be twisted to mean 'majority atheist'. It simply means 'no religion', or 'absence of religion', a claim which crumbles under the facts. Don't bother trying to wriggle your way out of the trash you posted. |
Logicboy03: Anyways, we know what a society without religion looks like. Japan, Sweden etc. Very advanced and peaceful nationsHehehe... Now this is what I call hawking ignorance ![]() Japan is not without religion mr man. Ever heard of Shinto? Sweden has a state religion, the Lutheran Svenska Kyrkan. Its true that religion has had a hand in unrest in some parts, especially Islam. But what of religious countries in Europe like Austria and Switzerland with lower murder rates than New Zealand, and Denmark which are some of the most peaceful secular states? What of secular states like Estonia and Latvia? Do you have any idea where they rank on the peace meter? Estonia for example has the least number of believers in God in Europe, yet they have one of the highest murder rates in Europe. The highest in Northern Europe to be precise. If some religious countries are more peaceful than the most peaceful atheist countries... And... If some of the least religious states have the some of the highest violence rates and are mostly racist... ...why conclude religion is the cause and without it there would be peace? Very illogical. |
Hehehehe... Is the 'soccer juju' made specifically for Nigerians to slow down our progress? There are countries more passionate about football, better than us at the game and yet miles ahead of us in development, abi dem get 'odeshi' ni? ![]() Unnecessary belief in myth and superstition is the reason we are not going forward. Instead of looking for solution to problems, we start looking for racist or spiritual enemies to blame. The black man believes the whole universe is against his progress and thus would not find it hard to rationalize failure. |
Lmao. Who isnt born again these days? Some pastors are not better than him anyway. |

alamkah: 2013 wil b a year of uncommon favour and progress. D train is abt 2 depart. If u don't join us now, d few optimistic guys among will surely leav u behind.senseless optimism pushed the Super Eagles to this shameful depth in the first place. Instead of tackling the teams weakness, Nigerians kept being optimistic until we crashed in Africa ranking couldnt even qualify for the last nations' cup. |

After we had all entered, the gates were closed again. I looked around, Lanky was no where in sight. A sigh of relief escaped my lips. One thick voice began a sermon on how student ought to come early to school. I did not recognize the owner. I did not recognize anyone else there, except two of my classmates and one boy in a higher class who lived some houses away from ours. I studied Thick Voice carefully. He was short and thickset with a permanent scowl etched across his dark face. As he talked his thick lips regularly parted to reveal a not-so-white set of teeth and a gap at the front of the upper jaw, where a tooth used to be. Something about him reminded me of the motor park touts who pulled at mama's bag or hands in an attempt to convince her and us, her clueless followers to get into the bus they wanted. They scared me everytime. I shook my head to get rid of the thoughts. "You!" Thick Voice barked. It startled me back to reality. Everyone seemed to be looking at me. Confused, I looked at the speaker. He was looking at me with piercing eyes I had not previously noticed. |
Then in the distance, something caught my eye... *********** Behind the row of ixora near the gate, something glowed steadily. There was no one to ask. I decided to go investigate. As I moved towards it, it seemed to pulsate. With each step, it blinked faster. It stopped when I stopped. I inched closer. I could see it now. Floating in the air was a ball of molten blue something which glowed and dimmed like the abdomen of fireflies. I decided against going to call anyone, no one would believe me enough to come check it out anyway. I had not even believed it myself. I looked around. Where are sticks when you need them? Even with curiousity heightened, I dared not touch it with my fingers. It did not take long to gather small stones. With trembling fingers, I aimed the first pebble at the strange blue light with all the seriousness of David at his Goliath. The stone veered completely off target like a Yakubu shot. I took aim with the next stone. It went right through as if nothing was there. Strange! Three stone throws later and the same result, curiousity pulled me closer. Heart pounding against my ribcage, my right index finger pointed, I took short wary steps, ready to make a run for it at the slightest hint of danger. It was unnecessary, for my finger soon touched it... and nothing happened. Emboldened, I cupped my hands around it. It dimmed... Then floated up glowing and steadily increasing in intensity. Startled, I withdrew several feet away and looked on. Like a movie, the rest of it played out. First, the strange blue light hurtled down towards me. My feet suddenly rooted to the ground, unresponsive to the impulse to run. The orb exploded in a brilliant flash as it touched me. My screams pierced the calmness of the evening. Then, darkness descended, drowning both my screams and consciousness. |
bboiabb: FYI we only used homebased players in the 1st half. In the 2nd half is when the foreign players came on. We were bad in the 1st half but much better in the 2nd so we will be fine if we play a mixture of homebased and foreign players in AFCONthe only reason we can say they tried is cos nothing positive was expected, so they surpassed expectations. In my opinion they didnt impress. Its not about the big names in the opposition team, its about what our Eagles do with the ball when they have it. The players lacked ideas for the bulk of the game. Its good to think positive, but its better to be realistic. We are still mediocre. |
God has one name (YHWH- rendered Yahweh or Jehovah) and uncountable titles like Lord, (Almighty) God, Creator... |
You guys shouldnt rejoice o... Eagles no impress me. We have a tournament around the corner and we dey play dis kind dirty ball dey happy say we grab draw. |
