yemi2plus: You mean Break?Yes thanks. |
But your President, Vice President, Senate President, Speaker, Governors are being taken to the gutters everyday with worse censored words, yet no ban?? Okay why ban him for a whole week for using routine word though as you claim is "offensive"? Is Seun, though the owner of the site more important than other personalities that are being abused everyday under your watchful eyes? OAM4J can you in all honesty if found in the same circumstance as AFAM, ban someone for a whole week for such a misdemeanour ? I await your response!
That is not the right question. The right questions are: 'Did he break the rule?' The answer to that is yes. 'Was the punishment too long?' No. Wether I will ban him for that long or not is immaterial, even if Seun was to handle it, he might decide to ignore and forgive him and not ban him, that doesnt mean Afam was wrong. He did what he had to do. Simple. |
But for my unwillingness to ban people into the new year, many of you on this thread would have been banned. Please dont make me change my mind. @OP According to your ban log, you were banned for insulting a member (Seun). I went through your post and I guess you were banned for this: Clerverly: Fvuck Seun! You bypassed a sensored word to insult Seun. Now you know. |
Segeggs: he has been president for over 4yrs and little to show 4 it. What super power will make him to perform in just a year?Nothing is impossible. Where there is a will there is a way. I only pray Mr President will find the will to do all that is needful for the sake of Nigeria and not allow some corrupt people steal the little money for these projects in preparation for 2015 elections. I agree with OP, Nigerians are not stupid. |
OP. Jst follow what Jay bee advised you on the 1sf page. We will take it from there. I am moving your thread to family section for more matured advice. |
^Not banned in politics, but I have informed the Supermod, he should be free any minute from now. |
PapaBrowne: By Intellectual limitation I refer to his knowledge in the specific field which is limited to a BSC in Economics. Most of his peers have much more than that. Soludo, his predecessor is a Prof who is studied in economics and is an intellectual icon in his field. There are many others from all tribes who are who have much more intellectual capacity than Sanusi in the field of economics. If you had put it in the bold, even though am not in total agreement with it, I would have let it pass. But you should know better that knowledge of a particular subject is not only acquired in the lecture-rooms, knowledge are also gained from work experiences and personal studies/research. I bet you have come across 1st degree holders that performed better than Masters/ PhD holders in the same field. I have. |
naijaking1: FYI, I didn't fail, and I made a choice, and most importantly, I don't claim falsely---unlike your idol! This issue of MSc has been brewing for the past 4 years, if any university had awarded the degree to Sanusi, he would have splashed it all over the internet by now!I know you didn't fail, I was only joking, you saw I wrote (jk). And I got your point, I did a number of MBA coursework which I passed with distinctions too but am not an MBA graduate cos I was majoring in something else. But the main point I was on is that Sanusi shouldn't be described as "intellectually limited" Never! Msc Economics or not. Am sure you will also agree with me that intellect is not also limited to MSc and PhD Degrees and the coursework he did add up. |
PapaBrowne: @oamjPapaBrowne you are one of the posters I respect here especially when it comes to discussion on Economics matters, just admit you went too far describing him as "intellectually limited". If you had said he is not as good as Soludo in economics and monetary policies, I wouldn't have taken you up cos that would have been your personal opinion and preference. All his errors notwithstanding, no one who has ever listened to Sanusi should describe him as "intellectually limited", the guy is intellectually very sound and very intelligent. |
naijaking1: My brother, I knew you were going to fall for that trap!Except that he dint fail like you but passed with with distinction. jk ... Anyways it really doesn't matter since he bought it, right? ![]() I dont like you guys making me a Sanusi's spokesman and advocate, really I agree he made his mistakes like many others before him, but I think it's going too far describing him as "intellectually limited" simply because he doesn't share same ideology with Soludo on monetary policies. I think he did his best and deserves all the honors he got. |
solomon111: I'm sure you were one of those people that questioned the competence of NOI as minister of finance even with all her experience in the world of finance and international banking. No, check my post history, am one of the people who believe she is one of the best things to happen to GEJ's government. Even though there is little to show for her efforts compare to her tenure with Obj, I believe it is because the system is too corrupt and messed up for her to make meaningful impact. PapaBrowne: Sanusi was born on 31 July 1961. His father was a Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the 1960s and his grandfather was Emir of Kano and Islamic Scholar, Alhaji Muhammadu Sanusi. Sanusi graduated from King's College Lagos in 1977 and studied at Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria earning a BSc in Economics in 1981. He then taught economics at ABU from 1983 to 1985. He also obtained a degree in Islamic law from International University of Africa, Khartoum. naijaking1: There you go again, Sanusi has no Msc in economics! Except the one Jarus gave him here on Nairaland!!!You mean he failed to personally present his certificates to you and show you his updated resume? No wonder you believe he is intellectually limited. Sanusi Lamido Aminu Sanusi (. July 31, 1961), Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria and the grandson of a former Emir of Kano and Islamic Scholar, Alhaji Muhammadu Sanusi. He started his western education at St. Anne Primary School, Kakuri, Kaduna (1967-1972). He had his West African School Certificate at the prestigious King’s College, Lagos in 1977. He then proceeded to the equally prestigious Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria where he bagged a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics in 1981 and he did the course work for Master of Science degree in Economics with distinction in Monetary Policy in 1983. He earlier did his National Youth Service in former Gongola State (now Adamawa and Taraba States). Sanusi has been named as the Central Bank Governor of 2010 for both the African continent and the entire world, by the prestigious Banker Magazine http://www.africansuccess.org/visuFiche.php?id=871&lang=en Please note "With Distinction".... I forgot he bought it. Sorry guys...am slow in learnig, may be am intellectually limited too ![]() |
naijaking1: What a shame that we would lower the bar of evaluating our CBN's governor's efficiciency to "how many international awards" he has.Ok, guess we are saying the same thing; the awards were bought, likewise his MSc in Economics. Then he used mago-mago and man-no-man + politics to rise to the position of First Bank MD and later CBN Governor. He merited none of them at all, right? Am learning more and more! BTW, am not Sanusi's fan or one of his praise singers. I just didnt know till today that he is intellectually limited, but thanks to you and others, am learning. |
mikeansy: Sanusi did not clean up any messOk, he erred, its only abt $12b that was not properly accounted for. Since its not 50 but only 12, I guess the amount is no longer significant and we dont need to appreciate him again. In fact he should be jailed for being a 50b alarmist instead of a mere 12b informant. Right? Interesting! |
PapaBrowne: These are not the functions of a CBN governor. Managing the monetary angle of of an economy is much larger that strength of dollar a d cashless policy. Sanusi's belittled the position because of his intellectual limitations.Really? That means he has been buying all those international awards like the Africa CBN Governor of the year he won like 2/3 times or those people who who awarded it are intellectually limited like him. I also think you are of the higher intellectual order than Sanusi cos it takes someone who is intellectually higher to know who is intellectually limited. Hmnnnnn..... am learning. |
The Kogi thread is now in Politics Section. Cheers! Acidosis: Nah... They can do whatever they want with the thread. |
My dear upgrade to internet banking. Dont be afraid of someone stealing your money. To me it makes things even simpler and easier. Also saves you the stress of leaving home and queing at the bank for hours. |
(3) The third worst State Governor in Nigeria is Kogi State Governor, Idris Wada. Since becoming governor no one can pin point what he has done in the area of human or infrastructural development. Reckless, his convoy had an accident twice within a short while, one killing his ADC and the other killing the former ASUU boss. Wada like his predeccessor Ibrahim have not been able to do what Prince Abubakar Audu did in Kogi State. Wada is the third worst governor in Nigeria. (2) The second worst governor in Nigeria is Murtala Nyako. The old man hasn’t done much in his State. One would think as an old man, Murtala Nyako should do something different for posterity to remember him. Murtala Nyako is busy with the whole PDP and APC politics, has been so absolve in it, you will think he did something in his state. The man is a total failure as far as governance is concern. (1) THE WORST GOVERNORS IN NIGERIA FOR 2013 ARE Niger State Governor, Babangida Aliyu and Governor Tanko Al Makura of Nassarawa State. Babangida Aliyu, nick name the Billboard governor is known for displaying his billboard all over Minna, the Niger State capital. The governor had the billboard of him and his daughters made when his daughters got married some couple of months ago. We don’t know if the billboard were with his personal money or State Government’s money. The road to Minna from Abuja and the roads around Minna are some of the most terrible roads in Nigeria. Babangida Aliyu is one of the most noise making and unpopular governor today in Nigeria. Nobody takes him serious anymore in Niger State. With his education and eloquence a lot of people expect transformation. Tanko Al Makura, Nassarawa State governor, on the other hand was the only governor under CPC before the merger. Winning under the CPC ticket one expected him to work. One expect him to do something with the opportunity and to promote Muhammadu Buhari’s ideals. Al Makura hasn’t done much. People all over Nassarawa State are already complaining bitterly about his government. He has divided the people rather than bring them together, for instance, the Imbatse issues. The Nassarawa Youth Congress leader, Ajen Bako, when talking to NEWISSUES said “Nassarawa State is still toddling.” He described Al Makura as a failure already even before his tenure elapse. http://www.newissuesmagazine.com/worst-governors-2013-first-three/ |
Just 54 points. Well I cant complain too much, at least I won my h-2-h opponent by 10 points. Yesterday, I wanted to replace Remy with Lukaku, but Orunmila said "no", and Esu said "do it", I Obeyed orunmila. Then I thought of giving the captain band to Rooney, Esu screamed "Dont do it" and Orunmila said "that is a wise decision", but I obeyed Esu. - win some and you lose some, story of my life. |
4 Play: I find the disingenuous posturing here laughable. The simple truth is that cutting recurrent expenditure will require huge cuts in the public sector headcount/pay and in fuel subsidies none of which is popular with those bemoaning the high recurrent spending ratio. Remember that the fuel subsidy spending is not even reflected in the ratio so our recurrent spending is even higher than is acknowledged.Of course corruption affects everything including the capital, recurrent expenditures and the ratios. Downplaying the effect of corruption has been one of the major wrongs of this current government. If as a result of corruption we cannot account or remit all our income, it definitely affects the overall ratio of our budjet. Take for instance, just assuming, we are only able to account for 4tr of our earnings instead of the actual 6tr due to corruption and we must spend 3tr on recurrent expenditures, that means we are having ratio 25:75 (Capital:Recurrent) instead of 50:50 if corruption had not eaten 2tr from the source. |
