gbanikiti: OAM4J,why are you hiding my comments? If you keep hiding it,I will continue spamming this thread with the same comments.I didnt hide your posts. You know he was only kidding with you, if you dont find the joke funny just say. There was no need to insult him. BTW, there was a small technical problem with the site this morning and its currently being fixed. Apologies for the inconviniencies. |
lalaboi: SO na even you/ Thank yeye Dawson. i go get you for away leghehehe... hopefully then I wont make the silly mistake of changing my captain from Suarez to Ozil at the last minute, and I wont keep Boruc on bench while using Mignolet that had been consistently disappointing so your defeat can be wholesale. |
chieflowo: Thanks for the clarification, next time i will pick on anybody's family member since they are not members of Nairaland.Dont get it wrong; If you pick on a nairalander and you insult any of his/her family member you will be banned because that is also an insult to a member. But if you insult a public officer and a member comes forward to claim the public officer is his/her family member, we will ignore the claim cos we are unable to prove the claim since this is a forum of anonymous members. For example, if you are responding to sexkillz and you insult his brother you will be banned, even if you claim Fashola is Sexkillz' brother. But if on a thread about Fashola, you call Fashola clueless and daft we will not punish you even if Sexkillz comes to claim Fashola is his brother afterwards. I hope you get my point. |
siddiq202: Are you dare2blues manager? Not at all. My brutal team just made lalaboi weep. ![]() |
lalaboi: Just not having that luck in the H2h. lost by 2 points. #sighpele |
What a narrow escape on h2h! Thanks to Dawson's clean sheet and 3 bonus points. Hope my manager will stop making these silly mistakes... Now lets move on. |
Since you watched the video in its entirety, you must have heard Sen. Okurounmu state that those who are advocating the breaking up of the country are fringe groups, much like the skin heads and Texas secessionists of the USA. He stated that not a single group or entity so far, has made any submission which asks the question you posed, let alone propose a breakup. The bottom line is, given Sen. Okurounmu's statements, the issue of breaking up will not be given any consideration. I repeat that, the power brokers who control our resources and the agenda of the so-called national conference, will never seriously consider breaking up the country since this will be tantamount to suicide on their part. Given this reality, serious minded folks should focus on discussions arround regionalism, resource control, true-federalism with a weaker and leaner center and regions as federating units, as you alluded to above.
I don't know why you and these "power brokers" are afraid of the question. It is not likely majority will agree that we break up, but for the record we need to have it documented that we Nigerians agreed to live together so we dont keep telling our children's children that one Lugard or A country called Britain forced us to live together. That agreement document is key and very important for our Nationhood. |
I partly disagree with Sen Okurounmu. I am not for or against total disintegration of Nigeria, but I am a strong advocate of regionalism, resource control, true-federalism with a weaker and leaner center and regions as federating units. While am still very skeptical about the National Conference, if it must hold or achieve any meaningful purpose, there should be "No go' areas. Nigerians till date have never had a conference where they all agreed to live together. Since Lugard put us together, discussing the subject has been a 'No go' area. I see no reason why we should be afraid to ask any question. For me the 1st subject we should discuss at the conference is; Do we want to live together as one people? It is upon the answer to that question every other subject should be discussed. At least let there be a record if we are going to live together that we as a people agreed to do so at a particular point in time, so we stop blaming Lugard and Britain thereafter. I watched the video till the end and I kinda of like the idea of subjecting the outcome to referendum before sending it to National Assembly, and the believe that Sovereignty belong to the people and not the National Assembly. I just hope the National Assembly will respect the wishes of the people. |
Had Suarez as my captain till early this morning, I don't know what demon visited me at night and made me change him this morning. I suspect Mukina2's witchcraft ![]() |
CFCfan: He has the standard Nigerian politician mentality of "I will construct roads, provide water" etc. I doubt he can carry on the implementation of the Obi-inspired (in conjunction with the UN) masterplan development of the 3 major cities. I'll prefer a Soludo or Obiano type of candidate any day any time. But he has been Governor before and from the average public opinion he did well. What is this Obi's materplan? |
Well done Naptu2. Good job! |
CFCfan: Ifeanyi Ubah has good good credentials, I'm yet to be convinced by his proposed policies. Can we continue with the Anambra Gubernatorial discussion? Why is no one arguing for Ngige? I think I prefer him. What do people have against him apart from many people from the East not liking his party? |
Mondisweets: its time to be a good girl, but i will always get customers for u i promiseMany people don't like and appreciate good boys or girls. Haven't you noticed that the bad boys and girls always get the best. Even good girls/boys prefer the bad ones. Anyways, good luck with your new personalty. BTW, I am hoping you will be the one to receive me at the airport anytime I decide to visit MandelaLand. |
^Am a proper Yoruba guy, we don't speak with many words... we communicate more with our swag. (You cant understand, it's a Yoruba thing) ![]() Why do I need to learn a language I might not use again in years. I dont need lectures on Brazil or the story of her life, we only wanna do Samba dance together. We dont even need to remember our names after the dance... some vidio clips and pictures of our samba moments together as soveniers will do ![]() |
Katsumoto: HahahahahahahaLeave Portuguese for Portugal, you will speak all of those on our behalf and get those 'animashauns' to our hotel room. Body language is enough to get all the remaining job done. I get ladies to speak in unknown-tongues when with me ![]() |
Mondisweets: Im born again again im not a table dancer anymore....where is the emoticon with a hallowBut why ![]() |
Katsumoto: Oro e ti ye mi.Why do we need to fear anywhere when you are suppose to be there as a facilitator/guide? Of what use are you if I still need to read the cities' manuals, even cab drivers will do better. What I expect you to tell us is where you have them in dozens and in scores or how you will take us round the cities and what you can guarantee for each city. Spare us the history and research manuals and give us the real 'loaddown'. ![]() |
DerideGull: I am not interested in usual Nigerian sentimental and tribal clouded arguments of bereaved facts. I do not know how anything is run in the cesspit called Nigeria but a ministry given N4.5b on fleet maintenance has leverage to add as it chooses. Again, there is a delegated budget modification clause as well as 10% budgetary rule. I do not know much about the facts regarding the claims made by BPP on the issue of N100m limit as stated by the post. Nigeria is known for its stupidity and I bet the so-called BPP is not left out of it.You should have kept quiet since you don't know how things are run in Nigeria and the role of BPP. How can you analyse and form an opinion on principles you know nothing about? Leave it for those who know to analyse and discuss. |
DerideGull: The article had again proven that Nigerians are bunch of ninnies. With the decibels of noise being raised about purchase of two BMW cars by NCAA for ministry of aviation, no iota of acts of corruption has been singled out. It is either Nigerians are absolutely ignorant or daftly oblivious to the meaning of the word-corruption.So we should have special laws for Ministry of aviation? Or the fact that they generate a quarter of their annual budget means they should go ahead and spend as they like? Who owns The Ministry of Aviation and the agencies under it? Mrs Stella Oduah? |
