"First of all, the way the team played last season was very different – I’m not saying better or worse, just different. "Probably Anthony was feeling more comfortable playing that way, at that intensity, at that rhythm of the ball – possession and ball circulation. So he probably needs some time. "We have Mkhitaryan, Lingard, Depay, Mata, Rashford and Martial – these are the positions where we have more options. "You have one opportunity, maybe two or three. If you don’t bite, somebody comes and takes the meat." - Jose Mourinho Cc Leyqute |
AdisaOwala: ![]() ....... that will soon happy, in few weeks time! |
AdisaOwala: Really don't know what to say again! Perhaps I should join the Anti-Pogba Group. I'm less concerned whether anyone is hating on Pogba or not; and honestly you and Sinizia are always objectively critiquing Pogba and his performance for the Team. I'm only saying we should give him at least a Season to prove his worth for the Team. I'm ain't asking for too much nah! |
sinizia: ![]() JM is simply experimenting in order to get a perfect Pairing with Pogba. So far..... Pogba has played well along with Carrick, but you and I know Carrick time will soon be over. I think, and I've also suggested it earlier in my previous posts - that Herrera should be given a chance. JM should consistently pair both Herrera and Pogba until they master and understand each other better! Fellaini isn't a United standard, same as Schleiderlin. They should be disposed as soon as possible, and be replaced with just a decent Midfielder. |
AdisaOwala: Mr. Adisa!!!! Habaaa!!! That's too harsh nah! All these for Paul Pogba?! Did he murder someone or steal IPhone 7?! We need to trust him, we need to support him, and we should hope he turns out to a world class Player! |
sinizia: ![]() Seriously I'm ain't referring to you at all, and you ain't among the Dudes I aimed with my Post! But..... buh..... ain't you satisfied with Pogba so far?! Is he not adapting, improving and gelling up with the Team gradually?! I only hope JM would give Herrera and Pogba a chance to gel and develop well together. We need Pogba as our B2B Midfielder. We need him to keep playing the position consistently until he makes it his own! |
![]() I've once said it, and still will keep saying it; that United Fans are OLIVER TWIST! We are more concerned with Pogba's price Tag than his age and experience. We want him to be a combination of both Messi and Ronaldo because he's the most expensive Player at the moment. Alas! Pogba is basically secured for the Future! We can't lose him twice, and those saying he's a burden to our Midfield, should pls judge him fairly! You want Cavalho, Verrati, Buggati?! Lol! What else are we expecting from him?! To start banging Goals week in week out?! Let's be fair for once pls. When are we gonna appreciate the Lads, enjoy their play and get entertained?! Trophies will definitely come - slowly but surely United will get back to the TOP! |
"We showed that we are in a good way. We have a great team and I think for any opponent it’s so difficult to play against the movement of the players. "The job is not done but we’re in a good way, on a good track, so we’re going [to Zorya] with confidence. “I think it’s important for a club like Manchester United that there’s challenge for places in the team. “I think that makes every player better and that makes the team better in the end. That’s what a team like this needs. We are a great team together. “Wayne is a great player and a great personality as well,” he said. “For me I can only say that it’s a pleasure to play with him every game." - Daley Blind |
"He [Mkhtaryan] just needs now to replicate this kind of performance in the Premier League. The Premier League is different – he needs one more step. Obviously now confidence levels are higher. "This performance gives him the right to believe that he can play the next match again and he needs to replicate this kind of performance in the Premier League with more physicality and more aggression. "He needs a little bit more of that but the quality – we know why we bought him, we know we were buying a player with a high level of technical quality. "He is very intelligent and very bright, the way he reads the game, so good for him because the performance was good." - Jose Mourinho |
eph12:Who cares about what his Agent says?! The most important thing is; what the Manager thinks of him and where he can play and excel! Is he with him at the training Ground?! Was he the one that discovered his talent and taught him how to play football?! We need him to play the role he played in the last Match. We do not need him near the attacking Role anymore. He has played there and wasn't convincing. |
eph12:Pogba is available as our B2B Midfielder. He's not signed only to barb and dab! The Trio of Mata, Rooney and Mkhtaryan should enjoy the attacking Role with freedom to interchange and roam! |
Leyqute: ![]() Tell me what Recession has to do with this?! LOL! |
Leyqute: ![]() But..... buh..... you didn't make it look that way Dude! |
eph12:Jose Mourinho will make Carrick out of Herrera. Herrera is gradually adapting to the Role, and its unlikely for JM to sign any replacement. Moreover..... we have Schleiderlin who can later come good as a backup. It's not over for him yet, he can still pick up! The below link explains better! https://www.whoscored.com/Players/71174/

eph12: ![]() United Fans always look for loophole(s) to say something! |
"Honestly I don’t like it [playing Westham twice in four days], I never like it. It has happened to me many times in my career and it's something that I think is not good. But we have to just forget the second game and focus on the first one and go step by step." - Jose Mourinho |
"The problem is [more] when you are in trouble to choose. Like when I had Phil Jones injured and Marcos Rojo injured, Smalling injured and Bailly injured, that was a big, big, big problem so [selection dilemmas] are good problems." - Jose Mourinho |
"The reception [from the fans] he [Mkhtaryan] deserved because he played very well. Always improving, improving, improving, improving until the moment he was really tired and I felt it was the right moment to take him off and to let him come off with a very good performance. It was important for his confidence and he will try to keep adapting and trying to replicate this kind of quality performance in the Premier League which is a competition with different difficulties." - Jose Mourinho |
"I didn’t know that [about the record]. And more important than that is the three points that we need and the performance of the team but I think when you make history it's always beautiful, just beautiful details in your career and in this case for Wayne it's fantastic." - Jose Mourinho |
"Yeah I’m happy, this was a performance and a result. I was saying before the match, performance without result is not good but gives you a future. A bad performance with a good result is a happy moment but it’s just a happy moment, not a happy future. And this time they played very well again with goals and it's important for us because we always said since day one we want to do well in the Europa League. We were in a position of needing four points and now we need just one." - Jose Mourinho |
weedtaker:He's always excellent, but Dudes only care about him scoring - not assisting or holdup plays! |
|
Rooney sets new United record in Europe It's official - Wayne Rooney is now Manchester United's record goalscorer in Europe with 39 goals.
|
![]() Kudos to the Lads! What a good Game?! Mkhtaryan is sending a clear warning to all RBs in the EPL...... prepare for hell from now on!!! |
I'm kinda satisfied with the Lineup. It's good enough to win matches. I also expect the trio of Mata, Mickey, Rooney to interchange positions. |
Nukualofa:I'm matured enough to ignore - I must abuse/curse to get noticed - Nairalanders like you! You've been noticed, and I guess you are happy now! |
![]() Recession is indeed biting Hard! If he gets a mean of living, he wouldn't have done that cos I believe he's not a Man Mad. |
That's gonna be a Tourist Center, hence helping to general Income for the good People of Ife and it's Environs. A welcomed initiative! |
[b]Hi everyone, I have the feeling that I’ve already written this entry before. Or, at least, a very similar one. That frustration after the final whistle is not new, unfortunately. Against Arsenal we played yet another game where I’ve felt that we did everything, or almost everything, to win and two points slipped away. The whole team did a great effort, we had chances, we were solid defensively to keep such a good team like Arsenal away from our box, we were one goal ahead in the 89th minute… and we got a draw. It could have been a great weekend and it leaves a bad taste, but we must be positive. The way we played, the motivation, ambition and competitiveness that we showed, or the team’s personality are enough reasons to believe that sooner or later we are going to get the reward that we deserved. Sometimes the scores are difficult to take, but this draw is not going to stop us in our goal, which is to keep improving. There are still many games to play. This new week we have two more games at Old Trafford and we want to transmit again to our fans all those things I’m talking about… It’s really a privilege to play for a crowd with so much passion who supports the team no matter what, both at home and away. Have a nice week. Hugs, Juan[/b] |
“I myself questioned whether he [Juan Mata] fits the profile of a Manchester United wide player, because that’s where he is playing, even if I know he ends up drifting in. “The ability to counterattack and have wing play has always been Manchester United’s way, so you wondered where he would fit in. I have to say that’s been one of the surprises out of the first few months in Jose Mourinho’s reign." - Gary Neville |
“It feels like we have been slapped 6-0. We completely dominated the game from start to finish. I thought even when they had a spell of possession they never really created anything to test us. “I thought we defended well, created chances and it was just one of those things. “They got one chance and scored. We have to pick ourselves up, we are pleased with the performance." - Phil Jones |
